What can we honestly expect from our Chicago this year? I see a lot of players with potential who really need to prove themselves in the league like Patrick Willians or Julian Phillips, and our rookie Noa Essengue will there be a good job with him?

  1. I’m going full meatball and saying, what if this is like the Bears in 2010 where we had decent defense but lucked out through the NFC championship game with all the other teams injured? Not saying the Bulls will make the Eastern conference championship game, but maybe we actually sniff a 5/6 seed…

  2. STOP THE COUNT!

But more seriously, I don’t see us being a great team but maybe Giddey’s second half was legit, maybe Matas makes a leap this year, and maybe our youth and athleticism help us win more games than we thought against veteran teams solidly in the playoffs. Most of the team is young so it’s not unreasonable to expect small-to-medium improvements around the roster.

  3. I’m not gonna have a strong opinion until we play OKC, I need to see how we do against the champs.

  4. I thought they would maybe be staying afloat at like 4-7 with Coby out, so having a 2-0 start gives them a chance to beat that.

Don’t think we can draw too many big picture conclusions until he returns, but promising start from Giddey and the bench.

Vooch’s efficiency last season also might not have been a fluke, dude seems happy to have real PGs again lol

  5. Ah yes, the Eastern Conference’s three greatest contenders: Chicago, Charlotte, and Philadelphia

  6. I’d be happy with a season where we successfully offload Vuc and if Buzelis and Giddey show signs of improvement. Trade Vuc to the lakers maybe and they might give the Bulls AJ Dybantsa

  7. Not really sure what to expect for this team but I think it’s safe to say our depth and youth will be our biggest strengths this season. None of our players are cream of the crop superstars but the roster is filled top to bottom with quality rotation guys, the only older guy being Vucevic.

  8. I’d say give it 20 games before you decide if it’s a good year or not. This team could be anything from 15-5 to 7-13 and it wouldn’t shock me.

  9. If we win tonight beating 3 “postseason caliber” teams, I’ll be hyped because we’re doing this without our best scorer
