Utah Mammoth who started the season 1 and two are now seven and0 in their last seven games. JJ Purka who was their big offseason gat. Three goals, six assists, nine points in 10 games. He is only fifth on the team in scoring. Wow. Nick Schmaltz 16 points. Clayton Keller 12. Gther 11. 11. It is an extraordinarily talented roster. But it’s also sort of crazy that all of those guys, the four or five guys that I mentioned there are all this good at once. When we were doing our previews, it was difficult to be like, “Yeah, they’re going to make the playoffs for sure.” Because like, how the hell do you know? You haven’t even really seen them as they were constructed. Um, it’s early, but holy they’re a very strong team. I think they’re going to be right in there for the playoffs. Obviously, I would put their chances at above 50% now. I would have said about 50 when the season began, but for this to continue, a lot of things that are going perfectly have to go that way for several months. And that’s just not the way the sport works.
