What do yall think about replacing GTJ in the starting lineup. GTJ indeed has better 3-point shooting but Rollins defense will make a huge difference for us. In offensive scheme, he would bring more athleticism and his shot is falling also. IMO, both should get big minutes, but Rollins is such a huge difference maker on both ends of the floor. For context, Rollins is 8th in most defended FGA by non centers and is holding opponents to the lowest FG% of anyone in the top 15.

Not when KPJ is healthy but I think he could develop into a starter eventually. He and GTJ have entirely different roles.
No
Not while we have kpj but i really hope he takes a leap during the season
We just have too many decent guards. So many that we have to play Green at the 3.
I feel like no matter what the Bucks do, someone who is pretty damn good is gonna miss out on minutes.
Seems like there should be a team out there with an extra 3 or 4 who needs a guard and we could make something happen.
I mean, we have a great problem of who should we start? I’m at an impasse lmao. All 3 are great suggestions. As a rollins Stan I say rollins but I mean my gosh Anthony did some sweet stuff so far.
KPJ has done amazing for us last year and just had a rocky start but I don’t imagine him faltering as much. It’s up to doc to show us who we should really be starting.
As to GTJ, I would prefer him to be on an off the bench role.
Yes fully healthy the starting and closing lineup should be KPJ/Rollins/AJ/Giannis/Myles
I mean literally no stat matters 3 games into the season. Someone could have 0% dfg and it wouldn’t rly matter.
I disagree with most folks that there isn’t room for him next to KPJ. Both are combo guards, both can switch (we saw Rollins body up Mobley last night), both can shoot and ball handle.
AJ and GTJ can handle stints at the 3, with Kuz/Prince/Coffey that makes for enough matchup variety.
TLDR: play the hot hands, position be damned, we have depth and versatility.
Not at the moment but I think we should probably close with KPJ Rollins Giannis Turner and Whitney is having the better night between AJ and Gary
I really like the Myles/Giannis/AJ/GTJ/KPJ lineup Doc started the season with – Rollins will be fine off the bench playing with Cole
The starting lineup should be very fluid this year. Without a true wing, rolling AJ or Gary out there to guard decent scoring wings like Brandon Ingram won’t work. Some games it’ll have to be Prince and some games they can get away with AJ/Gary there.
I think starting Rollins at the 2 doesn’t really save much, they’d still be undersized at the wing and lose some shooting without Gary/AJ in. I think that’s a good lineup for them to use, but I wouldn’t start it.
Gary has great chemistry with Giannis, Rollins do not–at least not yet. Rollins has had some troubles getting Giannis the ball in the (low)post or when Giannis cuts/rolls or rim-runs that I recall in crunch time a few games last year, and it happened again last game against the Cavs (he held onto the ball after a steal instead of just passing it ahead to Giannis) and it took a ton of time off the clock when we critically needed a quick score.
There’s a reason why Doc has gone with KPJ (last year) and Cole Anthony (@Tor) in the closing lineup of close games they didn’t even start–yes, Rollins started those games Dame sat/dnp (last year), but KPJ was the one in during the closing minutes.
I think he gives the team flexibility which is awesome. Some match ups yes others no
Rollins is 6’2“. IMO, that’s taking too much size out of the starting lineup.
