Zac isn’t the problem. He’s a problem, for sure but firing him alone won’t fix anything.

Before this last game, I would have agreed with the folks that say Raheem and Zac are getting another year. But when you lose to the Panthers 30-0, and lose to the fucking Dolphins 34-10 (imo it was essentially 34-3), drastic changes are obviously in need. Well coached teams do not perform that badly. Not to mention coming out of 2 win streak and just looking flat against a decimated 49ers.
I have my frustrations with Blank seeming to stand by coaches he likes, but with an offense that has underformed, and two absolutely embarrassing losses, will hopefully be enough to force his hand.
I almost never advocate for mid-season firings…but in this case, I wouldn’t totally hate the idea of promoting Ulbrich to interim head coach. He was already our assistant head coach in 2016, along with our linebackers coach from 2015-16. He literally had Paul Worrilow and Joplo Bartu at LB his first season (I liked them more than most people apparently. Not their fault that they got thrown into the fire as UDFA starters when they did) and probably had something to do with solid rookie developments of Deion and Campbell. I know his stint with the Jets was terrible, but…c’mon? It’s the fucking Jets. I’d rather give him the live interview now than in the offseason.
As for offensive coordinator…I want to advocate for a mid-season firing so badly, but it’s trickier because I don’t know who we would insert. But I want to see Penix play in an NFL style offense before the season is over. Even though changing systems midway through a year is almost never a recipe for success. But at this point we’re at 17% playoff probability and losing tiebreakers to the Panthers and 49ers. I really, REALLY just want us to just see what this roster can do with NFL-level playcalling.
Can we get a squirrel video if he gets fired?
We ain’t winning shit this year, and we don’t have a first round pick next year. Tanking is pretty much irrelevant, as is promoting an interim coach or OC.
Raheem and ZR will absolutely be fired at the end of the season, but my only real concern with keeping them on is how much they may stunt Penix’s development.
I honestly don’t know what the move is here. Just start taking applications and resumes I suppose.

I just don’t understand how you can beat the teams we have and lose to the teams we have, and then done so in the ways we have. Absolutely dominant against teams we shouldn’t and absolutely horrid against teams we should be killing. At that point it’s not just a consistency issue. In fact, it’s quite consistent in regards to the two dynamics I mentioned.
It’s almost like there is zero game planning and studying against the bad teams and elite level 4D chess shit against elite teams. It makes no sense. One could argue they’re throwing games with those performances.
