Good morning to all. u/smokinokie did that boy show up yet?
*FUCK THE RAIDERS!*
I still think Brown and another player, Kristian Fulton, and a draft pick need to be given up for a DT. I am totally fine with our RB room and Hollywood, and there were no catches last night—what two or three targets?
I like to see Andy being more aggressive. He’s already gone for it on fourth down as many times (17) this year as he did all of last year, and it’s only halfway through the season.
Yesterday was basically a must win game. We simply could not fall to 4-4 with the Bills, Broncos, Colts coming up. This year has been the most brutal schedule I’ve ever seen the Chiefs play. The vast majority of our games played are against playoff teams. Absolute ridiculous schedule.
Team was sleepwalking through the 1st half got punched in the mouth then showed up in the 2nd and boat raced them – that’s the Chiefs of 2020 & 21, reminiscent of that game against Oakland where we scored 0 in the 1st, 3rd & 4th but put up 28 in the 2nd and won
Hoping that’s lessons learned and they show up playing great football out of the gate next week. Most important 3 week stretch coming up
The AFC North having only one team with an even point differential while everyone else is way in the negative is funny.
Meanwhile, KC has the second-best point differential in the league and is in third place in the AFC West.

I still see a lot of people banging the drum for a RB trade (cough Nick Jacobs cough) but the Chiefs run game has gotten better and better each week and I don’t know who’s available that would be a difference maker. Also, the offense has scored 28 or more points a game 5 games in a row. So I’m not worried about RB or any position on offense.
DT or Edge are the positions that desperately need reinforcement. And there’s plenty of strong players at those positions who will be made available.

Pat now has the most TDs for any quarterback in history through 128 games.
He has played 120 games.
What the fuck were the refs on last night? That officiating was as bad as Cheffers bullshit.
CAN’T STOP THE POP TRAIN
watched the 2nd half offline just like I watched the entire Lions game, had 100x better experience than scrolling through dozens of comments from supposed “fans” calling for the greatest TE’s retirement every five seconds

I swear there’s nothing worse than “fandom”, it’s a legitimately diseased state, and the worst part is I’m pretty sure a lot of these people would swear up and down if you asked that they are Chiefs fans, I’m just tired of the call coming from inside the house that’s all
I think this might be the year we beat the reg season Buffalo game curse
While I didn’t particularly like the Chargers or Broncos winning, it does bring my shriveled heart some joy knowing that Raiders fans had to spend their bye week watching their rivals win on Thursday, then again on Sunday, and then again again on Monday.
I seem to remember another team a few years ago that didn’t start playing til the 2nd half. Seems they won the Super Bowl that year.
Our next 3 games will make or break us ! But there was a lot of offense not utilized last night keep the EGE mentality
Guys, I think Jaylen Moore has done a very admirable job filling for Josh Simmons. And he did it the day after his wife had a baby. He is a gritty guy, a team guy and a man’s man. But on pure talent he can’t hold a candle to Josh Simmons. That’s not a knock on Moore. He’s as gritty as they come. But he’s just not anywhere close to as talented or good as Josh Simmons is.
The whole playbook has to be cut down when you sub out Simmons for Moore. Because Simmons dies so much slower in pass pro than Moore does. Mahomes got the ball out super fast against the Raiders and Lions because Andy doesn’t trust Moore to hold up in pass pro for the longest developing routes.
That’s why we’ve seen less involvement from Tyquan Thornton these past few games. Simmons gives Mahomes an extra half second. And in the NFL that’s huge. That little bit of extra time is the difference between allowing the receiver that little bit of extra time and for Mahomes to stand strong in the pocket and deliver the ball downfield 20 to 25 yards on a rope.
I don’t know what’s going on with Simmons and I wish the best for him. But at some point I hope he’s ready to return. Because the team needs its starting Left Tackle. We simply cannot utilize the full playbook without him.

Looks like we get to keep Blu around for one more week
I’m sort of glad we had so much adversity in the first half, just because — not that the team needs it — it’s another inoculation against complacency, with a string of much harder games coming up. All week I was a bit worried about “Chiefs are back” memes. While I felt it to be true, it’s also a fairly precarious state and the team has to be ridiculously vigilant. Will be fun to see them take on three difficult teams in a row, with the bye in between.
The Bills O-line is probably our worst matchup. The Falcons had incredible rush lane discipline, only rushing 4, containing Josh Allen. This is something we’ve just not been good at. Spags tends to send 5 or have a spy, who then just gets beat. But I bet he will have something new or different cooked up, because I do think the Patriots and Falcons both showed some blueprints for slowing down that offense. For some reason I am not too worried about James Cook rushing for 200 yds. Great player but we seem to be able to stop the run when we need to.
