I’m equally upset and glad I did not stay up to watch the whole thing.
Of course it was Freddie freeman to hit the walk off homerun
More like Same Day Thread.
Stayed up until 2 to watch the whole damn thing, up now and at work at 9 AM 🫡
The amount of runners left on base for both teams is insane
so we are going 27 innings tonight right?
This was one of the greatest games of all time that had a significant percentage of the people who were awake for first pitch to be completely asleep by the time the game ended
Well that really fucking hurt. Lots to nitpick but you win as a team lose as a team.
But hey wasn’t too long ago we were down 2-1 in the series in Seattle for game 4. Today starts 0-0. I refuse to stop believing.
East coasters and more east friends, hows everyone holding up on like 3 hours of sleep or less?
Do they move Ohtani out of leadoff?
Will Klein earned that WP stat.
Watching ESPN highlights, so many pimped fly balls that hit the warning track.
Shoutout Dalton Varsho for tracking the ball from Freeman. That’s a tough catch off a lefty bat.
Fantastic game.
How was everyone’s 20 minutes of sleep?
so what are the odds Freddie goes in with a blank cap now lol
Managerial malpractice by Schneider. We didn’t execute offensively but when you put in the AAA lineup, what do you expect?
I hope Mookie can get right in the offseason., a player of his caliber should get at least 1 XBH in a game like this.
Last night felt like a fever dream
I was living on the West Coast in 2018, I’m currently on the East Coast. Fuck me what a difference it makes
Despite what people are saying, I’ve watched enough baseball where these types of soul crushing games don’t affect how teams perform going forward at all. Fully expect tonight’s game to be like yesterday never happened.
Blue jays got jobbed by the umps early in the game but truly deserved to lose by the end of it
I can’t get over Schneider pulling half his guys from the starting lineup. They played a game without Kirk, Barges, and Bichette while the Dodgers still had old man Freeman taking his 15th at bat and look what happened
And oh my god the send in the 10th on Lukes’ hit when Vlad would have been on deck was criminal. I am dying at Will Smith catching the relay and whipping around to tag the runner who he assumed would be right at his feet and then realizing the runner was still like, 8 feet away
Incredible game. Glad I live on west coast and got to stay up to watch the whole thing
There’s a legitimate shot Freddie goes to Cooperstown as a Dodger
I feel frustrated and disheartened but also pumped and excited to face the Dodgers again. This is exactly what I was hoping for in this series: unexpected heroes, tight calls and an epic close clash. Good luck to the Dodgers ! Bring on the second round !
We can definitely agree fuck the umps. I’ll bring in a quote from Remember The Titans “Let the kids play!”
Ohtani’s statline is mind-boggling in a different way than his other video game number nights. Is it dumb to think that if they keep walking him it’s going to help him conserve energy tonight as a pitcher? I suppose he’s never had a problem with stamina either way, though…
Both dogshit bullpens locking the fuck in for this game was objectively the funniest thing ever. Absolute dawgs on both sides.
Did announcers ever mention what it’s like to catch entire 18 innings? Will smith must be dead today.
Highlight of the game was definitely the 2 minute mound visit by Walker explaining how to pitch Ohtani in the 7th then watching Dominguez just groove a pitch down the middle.
