The Phoenix Suns just sent a message to the NBA after a gritty comeback win against the Sacramento Kings, coming back from a 20point deficit. And we’re going to go over how this game was, who the players that played best were, and how exactly this team is going to look heading into this new regular season in this new era of Suns basketball. We’re going to be covering all of the games. We’re going to be doing game previews, player reviews, all that you can think of for this new season. Guys, this was a gritty comeback win against the Sacramento Kings. What a fun game this was to watch. really does feel like a new era of Suns basketball this season with the departure of Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant after a very very disappointing 2425 campaign finishing 11th in the West. Very very disappointing result of course that we’re feeling us Suns fans. But this game really showed how this new roster is going to compete for this season. We had a lot of great gritty defense. Jordan Au made some fantastic adjustments after halftime and that’s kind of who I want to shout out first in this video from last night’s game. Jordan Au what it in his first game as an NBA head coach coming from the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was an assistant coach there. He really came out and did the necessary adjustments. He really set the tone for this game. He knew what to do after the first half which was uh pretty brutal to watch. You know, the the first quarter was a little rough to watch offensively. you know, Dylan Brooks got a little trigger happy, but you know, he’s one of the reasons why we won this game, and I’m going to get into him a little bit later, but I do just want to shout out uh Jordan, a new head coach. You know, that’s not easy to do to come into a new team. Uh a team that, you know, probably doesn’t have very high expectations from everyone around the league after losing uh someone like Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, who I wouldn’t want to say is an all-star caliber player anymore like he was in Washington. I know that’s what he was slated to be for Phoenix and that’s why they traded for him questionably. I was a little skeptical of the Bradley Beal trade at the time when they did and rightfully so. I mean obviously that didn’t work out. But just to get into a little more about Jordan Odd. We have an article here that was reviewing the game that said despite trailing 64 to 44 with 2 minutes and 10 seconds remaining in the second quarter. The Suns defeated the Sacramento Kings 120 to 116 at Mortgage Matchup Center on Wednesday night, earning their first win under firsttime head coach Jordna. Now, he was quoted postgame saying that that’s what we’re about. And he received, of course, a water bottle shower from his players. You probably saw it on Jaylen Green’s story. He said that you got to bounce back. Stay in it. Stay together. When it’s going well, like we had it going. That spirit just uplifts us from the crowd, from the bench. You could feel it in the third quarter. That was fun. And folks, I really think that’s an important thing to note when you get a new head coach is that, you know, they got something to prove. You know, they’ve been assistant for the majority of their career or some kind of position under an assistant coach. Um, but like that’s obviously something that’s really important when you get a new head coach is that they have to set a tone. They have they have to put the league on notice and they have to say, “Hey, I’m here. I am I’m I’m co I’m the coach of this new team. I know the expectations aren’t high. I know we just lost two star caliber players. Well, one star caliber player as I mentioned before. But yeah, this is this is just a great thing to see for Jordan A heading into uh the game in the next two days against the LA Clippers who actually surprisingly lost their first game against the Utah Jazz. That was a bit questionable. I was having a look at that game and I’m not sure how exactly that came to be. I thought on paper that team looks excellent and the not to say that the Utah Jazz aren’t an excellent team either, but you know, I thought the Clippers were really going to just blow them out of the water. But that’s going to be interesting to see come uh come the next two days when we play the Clippers. I think that’ll be a very very exciting matchup. But to get into more aspects of this game, you look at the box score, you know, Devin Booker did his thing. 31 points, three assists, five rebounds, a steal. He shot 53% from the field. Didn’t shoot that many threes. The the Kings really the Kings were really good at guarding him on the on the three-point line. So, you know, he had to do his thing. Get into the low post, get into the the pure and the short mid-range. and uh you know do what he does. One of obviously one of the best mid-range shooters in the league. Uh Ryan Dunn is someone I also want to shout out. He was amazing on the boards last night. He was absolutely cleaning up the glass. Uh I’ve always been a big Ryan Dung guy since we drafted him out of Virginia. Big, tall, lanky, big wingspan. He one of has potential to be an excellent excellent perimeter and interior defender. Someone else that I’d like to shout out is Mark Williams, who, you know, he’s been he did not get his rookie extension this year. So, this is a contract year for him. This is something that he needs to he needs to prove this year that he can be the main the the five for this Suns team. You know, he he’s going to be the guy that’s going to protect the rim. He’s going to get rebounds. He ended up having 10 rebounds uh 10 or 11 rebounds and two blocks in only just a short amount of time. He didn’t start. Uh, also Igodara ended up getting the start, but I think heading into I think as as we get further into the season, Mark Williams will eventually make the make the start at the five position. And, you know, this position, this center position is, you know, it’s pretty stacked. You know, we have uh we have Mark Williams, of course, Kam Malawatch, our first round rookie this past this past draft. And we have uh Nick Richards, who I want to know did also have a nice game. Eight points in four minutes. No one’s ever going to complain about that. But this is a pretty stack position on our team. And you know that’s never a bad thing. It’s always nice to have depth at the center position, but kind of just heading back into Mark Williams. I think it’s important that we have him on this team. I know he’s a very injuryprone player and hopefully he stays healthy for the rest of the season, but I think using him and uh Malawatch specifically, I think I think Malawatch will edge out Nick Richards even though Nick Richards is the more vetted NBA player and he’s he’s you know had his time in the league and he’s been a very solid player for the Charlotte Hornets, but now of course he comes with us uh on the Phoenix Suns and you know he’s an excellent rim protector as well. But I do think common Malawatch will kind of edge him out in the in terms of the depth charts. But another player on this team that we acquired from Kevin Durant in the Kevin Durant trade, uh Dylan Brooks, he really set the tone last night, guys. I I mean, you know, he’s going to bring that to every team that he goes to. He did it in Memphis. He did it in Houston. And now he’s going to do it on the Phoenix Suns. You saw him jawing with Demar De Rozan. Uh you saw him jawing at other players. You know, he’s going to set that tone for this team, especially on the defensive side. You know, that’s pro that’s his strong suit is defense. He has made an alldefensive team in the past and you know that’s what this Suns team really needs after a really lackluster dis disappointing season last year. We need someone who’s going to bring up the energy. Someone who’s going to be tenacious. Someone who’s going to like hustle hustle hustle. That’s obvious. That’s something that every team would want. We have some comments from some players. Ryan Dunn said he’s crazy. He’s crazy. I’ll say this. I’m glad to have him on my team. He’s a dog, but he means well. He pushes us every day. He’s going to try to go at everybody he guards. That’s someone good to have your back. Uh but Deon Booker is al also quoted saying that that’s part of his MMO and we need that. It’s definitely something that we didn’t have a lot of last year. Just getting everybody riled up, getting everybody in tune with the game. And you can’t teach that stuff and you uh and you can’t value it. And that’s just the kind of player that Dylan Brooks is, folks, that he’s going to bring that energy to a team that definitely needs it like the Phoenix Suns. So, really glad to have him there. I know in the first in the first quarter I was looking at the the Suns subreddit. He was getting a little trigger happy. I was watching the game last night. He was taking some questionable shots. But of course, after we, uh, you know, we retaliated after the second half, we collected ourselves. Jordan A made the proper adjustments and we ended up coming out with the win, and that was just great to see. But, uh, another player that we’d like to shout out is that, uh, Grayson Allen and Colin Gillespie definitely brought the energy after the second half. Uh, you know, Colin Gillespie like I don’t know why, but I saw some like small shades of Gorandra there. you know, correct me if I’m wrong, but I I Gandra was one of those guys that another guy that brought hustle and energy to the team when it was needed. So, really props to him. I think maybe he might get some time at the point guard position, you know, cuz you he’s one of the facilitators on this team. I know that Devin Booker right now is the guy that’s supposed to be the primary facilitator. He did play point guard last year when Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant were on the team. I know that Deon Booker is able to be a playmaker and a facilitator, a floor general when needed. But I think that he’s better off being the, you know, the main shot maker for the team. I think that’s where he thrives. I don’t think he needs to, you know, take the ball out of his hands. I think you need to have someone creating for him. I think that’s really important. We saw that when we had Chris Paul here. I mean, we Chris Paul elevated Deon Booker’s game tfold. It was amazing to see. But guys, you know, this is going to do it for today’s video. Uh, let me know what you guys think heading into this game against the LA Clippers. Give us a score prediction. Give us some uh player stats predictions. How do you think we’re going to do? Do you think common Malawash will get some time against the Los Angeles Clippers matching up against a uh all-star caliber center such as Ivita Zubox? I’m excited to see what happens. Excited to see if some of the rookies like Rasheir Fleming get some play. I’ve been really excited to watch him this year after watching some of his stuff in college. Big defense guy over here, of course. So, I always like to watch some guys, you know, lock up their uh lock up the opposing team stairs. But uh let me know what you guys think down below.

  1. The suns are the blueprint standard for mediocrity. You can tell just by listening to this guy😂 They've been making bad decisions non-stop ever since trading Shaun "The Matrix" Marion

  2. I'm happy to see the team still be competitive in this post KD/Beal era… but their defense was so bad they were onpace to give up 142 points at the half to the lowly Kings. They did this EXACT same come back last year against these same kings too, with a team who couldn't even make the play in. The Kings are a team the good teams stomp on the regular. Falling behind by 20 at home against such a team is not a great look. Again, as a suns fan of many many decades, I'm always happy to see them play, and even more so to see them get a W, but this game didn't send any kind of message. At best it gives me hope we won't be significantly worse then we were last year… but again, last year we weren't even a top 10 team in a 15 team conference, so that's a pretty low bar.
