  1. This is exactly why I thought it was silly when people were dooming about the DPetey/Mancini/Joseph training camp battle for the 6th D spot

This is the Canucks, we were always going to have 4 defensemen injured before November (Hughes, Forbort, Mancini, Brisebois).

  2. It’s gonna be a revolving door of injuries this year again, isn’t it?

I get that every team deals with injury, but it does seem we’ve got the shit end of this stick for 2 seasons now.

I wonder if the boys need someone new to teach them how to fall.

  3. I remember some people think the signing of PO Joseph was pointless because we have a plethora of D to fill the bottom pair (Forbort, D-Petey, Mancini, Willander etc.). People seem to forget we always get a parade of injuries on D at some point during the season. I am glad we have the depth this season weather this.

  4. I mean if you’re a Canucks fan, you’re not surprised, at the same time, knock on wood that nothing is super long term outside of Forbort. It feels like he’s going to be like Keith Ballard and barely play games in a Canucks jersey.

  5. Last year was pretty brutal right off the bat with injuries too & it kinda makes me start to think like what is the training/ medical team not properly doing/ preparing them for? There’s no way this should be considered normal or acceptable.

  6. It’s fine guys. Our D has been pretty solid.

Really makes you appreciate how solid Myers has been for us, only misses a few games here and there and even when he had to play higher up in the line up.

I think that with a less deep defense core, we see more of these guys playing through their injuries and never hear a peep.

  7. I know some other teams have had crazy individual years re: man games lost, but the Canucks must be #1 in the league over the past decade, no? Like…this is insane. What do we have, 7 regulars out? 8?

  8. Do other teams have some kind of injury prevention coach that the Canucks don’t? Like I get all teams deal with injuries but holy fuck

  9. Is this happening league wide because of the condensed schedule or just the Canucks? Or both?
