At least they’re keeping wood on the top line. I don’t like breaking up marchy-Haula-bunting though. I thought they were pretty good before marchy got hurt
We got a top 6 forward off waivers yall! Great job, Barry! /s
man that pp2 is fucking brutal lol
Power play lines of agony and sadness
What is the point of sticking Jost on the second line? He seems like a guy you put on the bottom six.
Svechkov has not been playing well. I get it. But if you are going to acquire all these 1st round picks just to make Milwaukee competitive, then we should just trade the picks for NHL players like Vegas does.
I think that the team needs to be honest with themselves about organizational strengths and weaknesses. Our player development is fucked. So change the people developing our talent or stop repeating the same process over and over again unsuccessfully.
Karl Taylor is not as good as we think he is if all these players can’t stick up in the league. Nichols is also to blame.
The one forward who seems to have stuck is Evangelista, and he had the least amount of time in Milwaukee
Anyone else get the sense that Trotz is prioritizing HIS draft picks over Poile’s?
Kemell is only 1 year older than Wood is right now. Yet Wood is going to be playing his 10th game tonight compared to just 4 for Kemell.
So far Wood has shown he’s no where near NHL ready. I know some think he is the prospect of the future but he didn’t pop in college, he hasn’t produced in the NHL and he’s not producing much in the AHL. But him and Martin are given prime spots (presumably by Trotz) and then immediately benched (presumably by Brunette) because they’re not ready for a roster spot on a “competitive” team. (IMO they’re not even ready for a spot on the blackhawks or sharks, but that’s not the point).
What has been so baffling to me is that we’re seeing Kemell, ZLH, and Schaefer assigned to MKE, Svechkov benched, Evangelista dragged through a brutal contract negotiation and Askarov traded while Wood and Martin get skip-the-line passes to primo spots.
It just makes me think that Trotz’ processes has morphed and perhaps he’s under fire a little bit. He seems really eager to show that his process is working. He’s not following the steps that you should be following by taking time to develop prospects and REWARD good play with NHL time.
