OL agains niners

  1. So did Caley hear the criticism and used a-lot more Jumbo sets after he saw we couldn’t block with only 5 OL?

  2. When you lose 2 of your 3 tight ends, you end up playing a 6th OL a lot more. This offense is definitely missing Stover and Jordan more than anyone cares to admit. Not that you want a TE solo blocking the edge *cough* some coordinators *cough*……

  3. If I’m not mistaken this is the same approach the Steelers have been doing with using 6 linemen. I’d rather less receivers and more protection for CJ. We know what he can do when given time.

  4. The 49rs defense front was decimated. Two starters out and a third went out during the game. Starting lb as well. It was a slightly less wounded version of Baltimore.

The Seahawk game may have been an over confident team that found out the last two games were in fact absolute shit.

8 of the next 10 games are against real teams with the Colts a likely SB contender, then bills, then KC. All three have good defenses. Then Chrages and Broncos. Brutal.

  5. I honestly love the 6OL look. Give CJ time, and he will either find the person who is open, or scramble.

  6. This works until it doesn’t. But these are the kinds of adjustments that Caley promised he’d make, and so far he’s making good on it.
