Game Highlights: Penguins 6, Blues 3
Who’s going to be in their way? Jim Montgomery making it very clear the work ethic needed. He starts the Bugad Tor of Jenko Walker line kept in by Pittsburgh. Fowler will chase it down along the near side. Tor of Chico using his right hip. Blocked it along the wall. Now battles theirs as the Penguins are able to hold it in. Carlson skates the line near side to Rust. Shoots and scores. 39 seconds in. Blues could not clear it. First shot on goal goes in glove side and the Penguins have taken a one- nothing lead. Dan Muse, the coach for Penguins, he responded with their top line for a matchup he wanted and this is the reason why. Look at that pass from Carlson on the backhand as he’s walking across the blue line. He’s walking left. He throws it against the grain right to Rust all alone. That is not the start you wanted, Joe Vatitali. That is not the start that Joe Hover needed either. You know, you you you start your fourth line, you want to go out there, you want to crash, you want to bang. Here’s another twoon-one. Here they come in. It’s Malcolin this time. Right in the middle. Malcolin centers. Tap in goal. Mantha. He scores. Two goals in the first 55 seconds of the hockey game. And the Penguins have a two nothing lead. The National Hockey League. Look at this move outside. He cuts to the middle of the ice. That’s the coveted area. That’s where you have to get to all bodies. They draw to him. 4 minutes gone. First period. Rust 39 seconds in. Mata 55 seconds in. Penguins with a two nothing lead. Walker centers. Blues put it in. They score. Hugan answers for St. Louis. 4:15 into the first period. They’re on the board. Wow. The fourth line. What a response right here. Look at the strides by Nathan Walker. He’s just going to throw it to the front. He knows he’s got a body there. Next is Fred Hall with 936. Blues create a twoon-one if they can get it to the middle. Shin, they shoot. They score. Kyu ties it for the Blues. 417 to go and it’s a doover in Pittsburgh. Defensive zone right here. Look at those strikes. One hand on the stick gets a poke. Pyro goes to the net and it’s just a dandy of a pass. Puck coming through to Wtherspoon. Pittsburgh working it like they’re on a power play. Carlson to the far wing. They snap it through to the middle. Wtherspoon shoots and scores. High glove on Hford. The late penalty goal and the Penguins take a 3-2 lead. 1323 to go in the second. What leads to the pull foley. Guess who comes on the ice? That guy with the puck right there. That’s their captain, Sydney Crosby. He’s going to get the primary assist. Put back through Rust now to Crosby. One touch deflected in. They score. The Penguins have made it four to two. And with that assist, Cindy Crosby picks up point number 1,700 and is the ninth player in NHL history to get to 1,700 points. Here’s the puck behind the net. You’re going to see it work behind to number 87. Russ is going to go to Cindy Crosby to the bottom of your screen to the left. He’s going to throw it up to the point. They’ll battle out of the corner. Crosby got it down low. Blues are going to get it out. Twoon one. Joseph with Torupchenko. Shoot. Score. Matthew Joseph took it on his own and rips it in. Four to three. Blues back within one. 435 gone in the third period. It was a late red light behind the goal. And here’s your Bomb Marino Robo Cam. Good speed. Matthew Joseph’s going to shoot this short side just past the right shoulder. Yes. Bingo. Puts it behind the net through Suda to Butch Navich now to Pareo. Ate him up. Sends it down. Look out. Breakaway in. Shooting hole for the save. Rebound. Crosby. He scores. A bad break at the blue line for the Blues. 53 Pittsburgh. Watch here. Colt it slips off his blade. So, he’s just got to save it. He’s got to try to just flip his body around and keep it in. And then it sends rust across. Fifth time this season the Blues have allowed five or more goals. Third game in a row. All the while they’ve been scoring three or more. Empty net or goal. Malcin 63 Pittsburgh and the final two seconds will tick off the clock and the St. Louis Blues are going to come home trying to snap a four-game losing streak falling to the Penguins here tonight.
Highlights from a 6-3 St. Louis Blues loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 27, 2025 at PPG Paints Arena. Blues goals were scored by Nick Bjugstad, Jordan Kyrou, and Mathieu Joseph.

We're still into losing
Sorry but time to tank for McKenna. This team isn’t it
In four games this early season… my Blue Ballers have twice given up 2 goals in first minute and given up goal #'s 8, 7, 6 & (5 – 0) season-starting home-EYE-opener! Wow! 26 goals – avg. of 5.2 gpg. There's likely a 9'er around the corner… this is one time I'm hoping NOT to "turn the corner …" and now they've given up 39 goals/9 games – 4.3 gpg. Wake me up when season starts as, obviously, I'm in a nightmare. Wait! Good news is we can ONLY get better!
Panic Time !
First 4 Shots against can’t keep being 2 goals against. My 10 year old niece could be their backup goalie if they want
Win or lose this team has no heart or Will too win
Please stop putting the final score in the title and thumbnail of the video, not everyone gets to watch the game live.
Ill tell you what, that primary on the first goal was absolute magic. Nice work my dudes!
