Ayo Dosunmu Leads 4th Quarter Comeback Win | Chicago’s Young Guns SILENCE Critics with 3-0 Start
The Chicago Bulls get their third win in a row today in a fourth quarter comeback against the Atlanta Hawks. This is exciting. The Chicago Bulls start off this their season 3 and 0 for the first time in four years. We’re going to talk about it all and more. But you know what we got to do first? This has That was the wrong one. Know what we got to do first? [Music] What’s going on, Bulls fans? Welcome to another episode of Chicago Bulls Central, your number one spot for everything Chicago Bulls related. I’m the host there, Hayes, but more importantly, you guys can follow channel at Bull Central Pod on every social media platform we happen to be on. With that said, let’s go ahead and get into this content for the day, y’all. And the Chicago Bulls get a 128 123 victory over the Atlanta Hawks to start off this season at three straight wins. They’re 3 and 0 to start the season. And keep in mind all the teams that the Bulls have face are teams that are projected to be playoff teams this year and the Bulls have played really well. This was a gritty win by the Chicago Bulls and they staged the comeback. Now I did title it a fourth quarter comeback. The comeback really started in the third quarter where they won the third quarter 41 to34. But even with that they didn’t have the lead despite getting outscored by one in the fourth quarter of this game. The Chicago Bulls hold on to win this game and you would really have to watch this game to understand the grit that the Bulls had to play with to get the win in this game. And they were led in scoring today by Io Dumu who had an amazing fourth quarter in this game and really sparked this run by the Chicago Bulls with offense and defense. But the thing is it wasn’t just IO. This team truly did this as a team. You had eight players to score in double figures in this game and you needed all of that. You needed every single bit of that to be able to win this game. Yes. Iodumu has eighth point eight points in just the fourth quarter on route to have his 21 points in this game. He had 21 points, three rebounds, two assists in 26 minutes. He was seven to 10 from the field. We made a lot and talked a lot about IO Dumu in this season and him coming back and what he could be for this Bulls team and having a six-man of the year type performance for this team. IO gave the Bulls everything that they needed in this game. Defense, offense, hitting big shots. He was 46 from three-point range. And there are a lot of people this offseason that were saying that IO wasn’t good, that IO needed to be moved. Those type of things. Iodumu was had himself such a good game today and he was he he brought the energy when the when it looked like the Bulls were going to let this game go. Iodumu came in and brought the energy that the Bulls needed. And overall, you just got to get it done. That’s what it comes down to. just getting it done and finding a way. And the Bulls found a way today. Shout out to to Billy Donovan as well. We had to get creative with lineups. Jaylen Smith had another bad game. He ends up playing seven minutes. He’s 04 from the field. And so because uh Jaylen Smith was not playing really well in this game, Billy Donovan actually went to Patrick Williams as a small ball center. And Patrick Williams played 22 minutes, 12 points, three rebounds in this game. He discovered his game as this game went on. discovered how he can help this Bulls team win a basketball game. And you got to give it up. Patrick Williams continues just finding ways to win basketball games. And and just shout out to Patrick Williams. We got uh 15 points from Kevin Herder as well off the bench. Herder continues to just be really good. He got 15 points off eight shots. He was six of eight from the field. Only hit one three-pointer. Got to the free throw line two times as well. Um Kevin Hurder, the Bulls bench continues to just be such a revelation for this team. over 40 points off the bench for the Bulls. Again, we continue just leading the league in bench scoring and it’s huge. And keep in mind, a player like Trey is going to eventually go to the bench and even give more firepower off this bench. I talked about it in preseason and coming out of preseason. The Bulls bench is going to be a big weapon for this team this year. And they keep showing it. The bench came in Patrick Williams, Julian Phillips, Kevin Hurder, I Dumu, they all gave the Bulls some really good minutes today. No Dalen Terry, no Javon Carter, no Noah Essen, but the Bulls bench continues to just play really solidly. Let’s look at the starting lineup as well. Josh Giddy had 18 points, 13 rebounds, five assist, one steel, one block, three turnovers, right, uh, from Josh Giddy. And they continue to take the ball out of Giddy’s hands as far as him operating the offense. So, a lot of that goes to Trey. But Josh Giddy was seven of 14 today, two of five from the free throw line. I mean, from the three-point line, only two of four from free throw. I want to see Josh Giddy, especially if he’s not hitting threes, be a little bit more consistent in his ability to get to the free throw line. But Giddy had himself a really good game today. And you you got to give him credit for it. Uh Brandon Eljette says, “Uh, great job, Billy. Reinserting Iowa and VU in Atlanta and challenging that call. He has improved as a coach and this bench is top-notch.” Listen, I got to give you credit on that one because what Billy Donovan has not always understood when to do is to go to the hot hand. That’s something that Billy Donovan has failed at quite a bit in his time running the Chicago Bulls. And it seems like this season, I don’t know if it’s a better trust of the lineup. I don’t know if it’s a better understanding of the players or what whatever it is, but you know, understanding when to bring Io and Vu back in, which you know, Pee Will played some solid minutes at center when he was in there as a small ball five, but you know, bringing in Vu and I helped really change the tide of this game. And I tell y’all what, for those that don’t watch this game, this may sound crazy to hear this, but Billy Donovan, I mean, what Nicolus in the fourth quarter specifically played some of the best, the absolute best rim defense I have ever seen from Nicolvous. He doesn’t finish with a single block registered. But if you go and look at how he changed shots at the rim in the fourth quarter of this game, Vu absolutely deserves some credit for how he played. and he had 17 points, 17 rebounds, nine assists, two steals from Nicolusvich as well. One assist shy of a triple double for Vu. Vu had himself a really good night tonight that fourth quarter and his defense surprisingly that he played in the fourth quarter was really important for the Bulls because he was that big body in the paint that deterred shots at the rim by Atlanta. You got to give him credit for that. Um Trey Jones with 14 points, nine rebounds, two two steals, six uh six rebounds from him, one block as well from Trey Jones. He continues to be the big energy guy for this team. Trey has had such a great impact for this Bulls team this season that you got to acknowledge it. It’s just been a continual effort from that. Um and Trey Jones has just been a revelation for this Bulls team. Love to see the way that Trey Jones is playing for this team as well. Modis Bzellis rebounds from his uh game where he fouled out in 12 minutes. 31 minutes played for Modis today. 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, only one turnover for Modis and only two personal fouls. He got both those fouls in the first quarter of the game and you could tell that Modis was playing a little timid after he got picked up his second foul. Now, Billy Donovan didn’t leave him into the game. I don’t think he left until the second quarter even after picking up two fouls in the first quarter. Um, but you know, Modest, you could tell he was playing a little timid after picking up those two fouls, but then he got right back to it. And in the third quarter, he really caught his momentum. He had a dunk. He had a three-point shot. It was big to see from him. Isaac Okoro today, four of eight from the field, 10 points, one assist. And I want to look up real quick what his numbers are looking like as far as on off today for defense because we know that Isaac Auroru and his impact is always going to be bigger defensively. Right now, I’m glad that he was hitting shots today and that’s what we need to see from Isaac Aoro is his ability to hit the open shots. And it wasn’t just open shots. He took it to the rim. He did some of those things today, which is really good to see from him. Um, but let’s look at Isaac Aoro and his onoff. So, the Bulls had a defensive rating of 113 when he was on the court and a positive net rating of of plus three. Not plus minus, that’s different than net rating, but overall like Isaac Akoru didn’t hurt the team today. And, uh, you know, you understood why he was out there today and why he played really well for this team. So, take that for what you will, man. But, um, overall, man, this Bulls team continues to show the grit, the heart, the determination of a team that looks like it’s trying to come out of where it was and improve their status as a team. And you got to love this. These are these are the type of wins that build identity. These are the type of wins that that are going to that’s going to play off to you later on down the road of the season. And that’s what you need from this team, man. Um, everybody played a part in this one. And I and I want to be clear and doing a good job at highlighting that. Everybody that checked into the game, maybe except for Jaylen Smith, Jaylen just didn’t play a good game today. But everybody except Jaylen I think made a key play at some point in the second half of this game or a key shot or you know you know whatever it was a pass make passing off the ball at the right time. So you know Bulls also get the turnovers down only 14 turnovers on today’s uh game. 33 assists on 48 made baskets. We continue to be the team leading uh the league or second in the league in assist percentage. So that’s really good. Um yeah and the Bulls just played really good defense when it mattered the most. If you look at the numbers, like Christophs got 27, Jaylen Johnson got his 25, Trey got 21, but he took 21 shots to get it. Um, uh, Anika Kongu had 19 points off the bench. You had Nikil Alexander Walker with 17 points and some really good defense at times in this game, but the Bulls just find a way to tough it out and get this win. And that’s the thing that I love the most about about wins like this is doing it as a team. Toughing it out to get it done. That’s what’s going to help you. That’s what that’s what shows the grit, the determination. That’s what shows that you’ve really improved as a team and that you’re rocking. That that’s what shows that. And uh overall, man, I love it. Love it. We got Lester in the building. Lester says, “Bro, our boys battled tonight and this team’s depth is impressive. Imagine us when Kobe and Zach get back.” Bro, I’m right there with you, man. I’m right there with you, bro. when when when when uh Kobe White and Zack Collins comes back on this team, I think the defense is going to improve with Zack, the offense is going to improve with with with with Kobe and we’re still going to as long as we as long as you know we keep giving that effort, we can be a solid team on both sides of the ball. Modus got a bit scared. Yeah, I mean he did and I think you know you want him to learn from fouling out in 12 minutes and so while he played timid today and I don’t really want to see Modis Bullis play timid regularly, you kind of understand it a little bit, right? Okay, you kind of understand it. That reverse putback, man. Listen, Modus Bzelis is such an exciting player, man. Such an exciting Giddy stepped up with a clutch three. That’s why he gets some money. Look, Gidd Giddy made a lot of clutch really good decisions in the second half of this game overall. Um, and you know, I know that people are talking about Giddy and why the assist numbers aren’t what they were because he’s playing with Trey out there and they’re doing things a little bit differently, but man, you know, it it’s great to see that, man. That’s how you finish. look uh uh look like this team is learning how to close and that’s something that’s really failed this team for for a while now. Sydney says, “I think we won the Zack trade, maybe lost the Zo trade. Acting Vision is is coming to life. Keep VC Billy is coaching a better season and we’re even uh playing field with OKC on an even playing field with OKC. The fuck?” Here’s the thing. Uh Sydney, I don’t even know if we can say we lost the Lonzo trade because the Lonzo trade also is what allowed us to resign Trey Jones. So, right, keep that in mind. And um and I think that that when you look at that as a as a collective move, right, it we think we came out with a net positive on it. Like listen, I love to see Lonzo killing it with C with the Cavs. I hope that Lonzo wins a title eventually and I wish him success against everybody that he plays except the Chicago Bulls. But Trey Jones is giving us exactly what we needed from from Lonzo and he’s doing it on a cheaper contract and we don’t have to worry about the injury history really the same way with Trey. Is IO trying to take Kobe spot? No, IO is not taking Kobe’s spot. Like stop that. Stop that. Uh this was a hard game, especially the first half at the end of the day, but they keep pushing. made the runs we need and Trey Jones steals and IO’s three points got us the W and and and IO’s defense too, Dan. Don’t overlook IIO’s defense either. It was a key part a factor in this in this as well. So there you go. Kobe still ain’t got paid yet. Who knows how he’s going to come out. Oh, listen. Kobe’s Kobe’s going to come out like and like I think I I said on on the live call, Kobe doesn’t need to come in trying to do too much. Kobe just needs to come in, pick his spots, play pretty well, and that’s it. Right. and and and hit his open shots, play with it with within the team, pass the ball when you need to be you, but kind of pick your spots. And I think Kobe’s going to have a really big role on this team. Anyone else catch the fan wearing fire acme uh jersey with the officials were reviewing that that Alfzinga knee? I did not see that at all. Did not see that. This probably sounds crazy, but I think Phillips is better than a Koru. I mean, listen, Phillips is more athletic. He has more natural size as well. Um, and Julian Phillips is still under contract a year after this, but you know, we’ll see what the future holds. I remember us saying we were deep when we had Goran and Drummond off the bench. No, this feels completely different. Keano, you’re not wrong. I can’t even I can’t even knock you. This This does feel like true depth. You’re You’re absolutely right on that one, bro. When was the last time we started four 3 and 0? Uh, four years ago. So, uh, that would have put us in the first season of Lonzo and Demar being here was the last time we started 3 and 0. Back at it again here, y’all. Uh, glad to see y’all. Hey, man. Listen, this is this has been a fun start to the season, man. Good team win overall. The Bulls battled adversary throughout the game and they walked out of that dog fight with a win against the Hawks. A dog fight is what it is. Every game we play against the Hawks over the last few years. It always comes down like this. Um, and I’m out of tea. Uh, it always comes down to the wire like this, man. It was good to see. I won’t take Kobe’s spot. I’m sorry. I don’t know what y’all be thinking. You can see so many passed up shots from players where Kobe would fit in beautifully. Don’t be a prisoner of the moment. Iowa is fire though. Listen, and that’s the thing. I don’t like when players play well and we use it to knock another player. I want to see everybody come back and everybody play well because if Kobe comes back and Zack comes back and they play well with what like of course things are going to have to change, lineups a little bit, minutes distribution is going to change a little bit, but I’d rather have more depth than less of it. And you know, we’ll see where that gets the Bulls this season. Hell of a game going uh Wednesday versus Sacramento. Can they make it 4 and 0? That game against Sacramento is going to be fun. It’s definitely going to be fun. SP in the building says, “This game needs to be shown to the uneducated fans to show why we need to concentrate on defense instead of picking up just shooters. We don’t need a prime curry.” Well, first of all, I’m never going to say you don’t need a prime curry cuz you can prime Steph Curry on your team, it changes some things. I will say that. But overall, man, I um I I’ll I’ll say this. It just it’s fun to watch. It’s fun to watch, man. This team play the way that they are, man. This team is balling right now and they’re balling without Kobe White, man. This is a deep deep team. Uh, shout out to Javon there, man. But, um, yeah, Giddy also hit some big shots down the stretch. Shout out to you, Hayes, for learning OBS. Hey, man. Listen, I I I can learn that’s that’s that’s my true superpower is that I can learn anything. I didn’t know anything about video editing. Now, I own a photography business. I made I’ve made several short films. I didn’t know anything about podcasting. Now I host four daily podcasts. I’m one of the best podcast editors in the game. You know, it is what it is, man. V damn near had a triple double. Yeah, one assist shy of a triple double for Nicola. One assist shy. Chicago Bull Central from Chef C says Chicago uh Bull Central. You owe the people. You owe the people an apology. All the negativity. What are you talking about? Oh. Oh, he says whoops. I mean Matt Peek. Hey, listen. Um, hey, all I can say is that I just honestly I don’t try to be negative or positive. Just just God’s honest truth. I don’t I don’t come in anything trying to be positive or trying to be negative. I just I just be real and I and I’m real with what I view and I try to look at things objectively. I have been saying all offseason, I don’t see how people think that this team got got got worse. I just don’t see how they got worse. Now, it’s still very early on in the season. We got a lot of season left. There’s 79 games left to be played this season and a lot of things can change, but I didn’t see how this team got worse and the the connectivity of this team is really good. And so it’s like people want like even how Modest is playing. People wanted to waste this season tanking like that’s what you wanted to see. You would rather see the Bulls tanking and lose for lottery picks than Modis Buzzel is playing the way that he is. Iodumu playing the way that he is. This team has a connect. The United was cheering. Let’s go. When’s the last time you heard the United Center on fire like this? Right. But y’all would rather tank. Y’all would rather tank because it gives you the thought process that the Bulls are going to get a a top pick and that’s what’s going to fix this team. Come on, man. Come on. What are we What are we talking about? What are we talking about here? Have to say this was a hard game because of the Hawks defense, but at some point Bulls offense started to look sloppy at times and too much individual plays. we need to fix that and keep those turnovers down. Well, the turnovers were down today. And I would say this, the sloppy play was more in the first quarter than in the in than later in the game. Um, but we did have that, right? And, um, I I didn’t like the fact that we settled for so many threes, 23-pointers, I believe, in the first half of this game. I don’t like that part. We need to attack the rim. And I think in the second half of this game, we got back in our bag at attacking the rim and doing those things that we need to do, and that was fun. Christopher Turko says, “Billy deserves his flowers for the start. I love how everyone knows the role and made them prepared for the role.” Listen, I I I know that Billy Donovan has his has people that can’t stand him. Hell, I was one of those guys. I’m still technically one of those guys. But again, like I said, I’m not going I’m not here to call it negative. I’m not here to call it positive. I’m here to call it real. Billy Donovan has done some of the best coaching of his Chicago Bulls tenure from preseason till now. It’s been some of the best coaching that I’ve seen consistently from Billy Donovan. And he gets credit for that. I don’t I don’t care if you don’t like Billy Donovan. I It is what it is. I don’t care if people want to be like, “Oh, he’s a Hall of Fame college coach.” I don’t care nothing about none of that. As it stands right now, he’s the head coach of the Chicago Bulls, a team that has over the last two years, everything that they’ve said, they’ve done. When they talked about changing the shot profile, playing faster, playing a more modern style, they did that last year. this season coming in saying we want to play with more physicality, we want to play with more defense, that we’re going to go deeper into our bench. It’s all been there. And so when you’re a team that doesn’t make a lot of changes to your roster, what you look for is the head coach to find better ways to utilize those players. And so far, it looks like we’ve done that and I love seeing that. Love seeing that from this team. Uh I don’t know, says serious question. Do you believe this team can win at chip this? No. I I I have not seen enough to where I say they can win a chip this season. That’s that’s crazy. That’s crazy. We definitely want a prime curry. What the [ __ ] Exactly. Like I We don’t want a prime curry. It’s wild. That’s wild. There he like the [ __ ] that bring you into [ __ ] then like hey, one die, we all die. No, that’s crazy. That’s funny. Hayes is his own in his own is better than CHGO. Well, that’s you know those are my guys over there. I love Matt Peek, Big Dave. Those are my guys. I’m always going to always going to rep them, man. Uh great work again, bro. Appreciate that, brother. Appreciate that. Uh this this offseason, I’m only not saying your name because I don’t want to murder it. Uh Chararma, I could pronounce that your last name, but I don’t want to murder your first name. I apologize, bro. Um the offseason 27 will be huge for the defensive side of things. Well, offseason in 26. Uh I Let’s Let’s get to 26 first. We have a lot of money this offseason and a lot of flexibility to do some things and I’m excited to see what we what we’ll see. Impressive resume. Keep up the good work. Hayes, you on my daily to go. I appreciate that, Carly. I appreciate that. Juan says, “Keep in mind would be just a junior if he went to college. He’s still very very young.” What? He just turned 21. Like there were rookies that came into uh the the the NBA this year that were um that were older younger than than than modest. I mean older than modest. Uh, I know I apologize, but man, now you see why I was cussing people out in my voicemail. It’s always cussing somebody out. That’s funny. Uh, it’s early, but I don’t see Denton Terry being a long-term player on this team. I can easily uh I can easily see them letting him walk unless he wants the Javon Carter role for the foreseeable future. That’s I mean, listen, I don’t think Dalon Terry is going to have a like big market out there. So, I think the Bulls are going to take care this off season of their improvements first, but then when you look to to to like add add in and back fill your bench, a guy like Dalon Terry could do that, but like you said, I mean, the season’s still very young, you know, we’ll see what he ends up bringing. But I definitely understand where you’re getting from with that. So, they say uh they then say with your chest, say they winning it this season or next season or say that they a seven game series against the top teams is not then to work on. But what I mean both things could be true, dumbass. Like that’s the thing. Both things could be true. You don’t have to. It’s It’s such a idiotic and dumbass knee-jerk fan reaction to be like, “Oh, are you going to win a title?” Oh, no. Then like duh, they still need to improve. Nobody’s sitting here saying that the Bulls are a finished product. Like it’s two things can be true. Yes, they still need to improve the team. That doesn’t mean they’re not fighting hard. That doesn’t mean they’re not competitive. That doesn’t mean they haven’t improved. That doesn’t mean that they can’t still be one of the toughest team in the Eastern Conference. Like, what the [ __ ] are you talking about? Now, don’t get Petty Roosevelt on you. Ask the chat. Don’t get Petty Roosevelt on you. Chill the [ __ ] out before I have to humble you. Give Billy credit. Plus, I can tell all the players respect him and they like playing for facts. Big facts there. They definitely love playing for Billy Donovan. We are a young team. Uh so many expectation isn’t that we’d be perfect, but I’m happy that we are learning from all the all the mistakes made. I mean, if you if you take Nicolus off this team, the Bulls are the youngest second youngest team in the NBA. So yeah, the fact that they’re doing this with so many of the young players is huge. Hayes, the hustle and physicality has been there. Where do you think uh we rank in hustle stats? I don’t know. I have to go and look that up. But um I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re if we’re in the top 10 or 12 for sure. We need this grilled wing uh this trade deadline. I mean, I don’t even know. Like we really don’t have a lot of space at the wing. Not as it stands right now. I mean, we’ll see what the Bulls do. I mean, I’m more focused at the Bulls getting a defensive center for the future, personally, but we shall see. We shall see. I love when Petty makes an appearance. C Red, baby. Hey, I’ll be trying to hold him back. I really do. Like, we in here having fun. We talking good. Somebody come in here with some with some stupid [ __ ] Uh, our rebounding as a team Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Our rebounding as a team has been incredible throughout these early games. Oh, facts. And and that and when you look at this team and how they built this, they built it on a lot of players that can pass, a lot of players that can do a lot of thing like a versatile of things and team rebounding. Every position that we have just about is a above average rebounder for their position even when Kobe comes back. And so rebounding is definitely going to be a thing that definitely helps this team and helps push us forward for sure, man. Uh after that first miss layup I was about to say uh turn Auroro shot tendency to fat zero. Hey Auroro uh came in and had a much better much better uh offensive game today. Hey the NBA is only about rings as a fan. Why can we not enjoy good play? Hayes Collins coming back really will make this team hit their full stride I believe. See red baby and Kobe. Don’t overlook Kobe too. What are you What’s up Matthew? What are you talking about bro? Shout out to the Bulls for being patient with Billy. Yeah, I mean listen, they they really have like they they trust Billy Donovan and they have really tied their hitch to Billy. And I’ll say this, for the last couple of years, it looks like it’s paying off. It looks like it’s paying off. Who’s the Bull’s biggest OP right now in terms of teams around the league, Hawks or Cavs? Maybe he Everybody. Everybody’s an OP, right? If that’s what you’re asking, I need the Bulls to look at everybody like an OP. They’re all ops. Everybody is an OP. I’m an OP. Everybody’s Every time the Bulls see a team, they need to smack somebody. So, I want them looking at everybody like an OP. There’s not a single body, team, player in the NBA that’s not an OP. Matt Pek is an OP. I need everybody to be on the OP list. If the Bulls had their OP list, everybody needs to be on it. I think what’s been nice is that uh they are winning in a variety of ways and with different players stepping up each game. Facts. 100% agree with you on that one. Uh, Vicram says, “I hate the national rhetoric on the Bulls. We are so young doing this. We don’t need a superstar from a top five pick. We need to get there through proper development.” We’ll see. We’ll see. Who could you see Acme let go this offseason? Please tell me. Oh, look, Javon’s gone. Um, I think Javon Carter is definitely gone. I can see Dalon being gone. Um, you know, because you gota you got to create space some way, right? You can’t keep everybody. Um, but we’ll see. Haze, I know you were very critical of Acme, which was warranted. Are you back in on them uh fully? They actually gave the head coach the ideal type of roster he needs to win. I’ll say this, they’re earning that back. They are earning that back every like like and I I think for a front office that had as many fails as the Chicago Bulls front office has had, I think that that’s fair to say that you you have to earn that back. and you have to earn it back through continually making the right decisions, continually drafting the right players, signing players. So, you know, they’re they’re in the process of earning that back. I’m not as much of a blind faith as I was before on them, but they have made some really good they they are in the mix of a series of really good decisions. The Bulls Bulls front office has made some really good decisions as of late. If the Bulls continue to play this good basketball, do you think they make a trade at the deadline to improve the roster before the playoffs? I I mean there’s a there’s a possibility for that. Um I think that the Portland pick, especially as Portland is looking pretty good, could become something. I do think they’ll still probably look to move Nick Lousich. I don’t know if they’ll be successful in moving Nicolus. So I think the Bulls are going to keep their ears open for trades for sure. Will something ultimately get done? I can’t say for sure, but I think that they’ll leave their ears open. Matt Cho says, “What’s the opinion for Noah Essen so far? When do you think he’ll get some minutes in light of the current streak? Uh I listen the the Windy City Bulls training camp opens next week I believe. Do not be surprised if Noah SN gets sit down there for that. That’s what I’ll say there. Boil I’m an OP. That’s funny. Hayes can’t respond to everyone last. He just chooses one. Uh it’s easy to respond to. Don’t take a Listen, there’s too many people in here. I’m not going to I know I usually try to get to everybody’s comment. We got 800 people in in the live chat. It’s impossible for me to get to everybody. I wish I could. It’s impossible for me to get to everyone. Matt Pek is an op. Matt Pek is definitely an op. Benchm returning. It definitely feels that way, bro. I I need to see 10 games, but it definitely feels like that. Like I may have to pull out my Bench Mob is back shirt. I haven’t wore that in a while because we ain’t had no Bench Mob. I may have to pull that shirt out. You think I earned himself a nice bag? Would you give him it if you were the Bulls? Uh, yeah. I mean, I think I was going to get paid. I think I was going to get paid a pretty decent Sunny. Me and you still got to do that damn episode. I know I didn’t text you back. I was It’s my uh son’s birthday weekend uh when you text me. I’ve been he hecka busy, but uh we’ll get it together. But I think Iowa’s going to get between 18 and 20. I really do think that as things uh as they look now, Eastern Conference is looking really competitive. That means that actually most of all those teams, Sixers, Boston Cavs, Magic, Heat, Detroit, Pacers are de direct ops for the playoff spots. Everybody is an OP. Everybody’s an OP. Every team is an OP. 126 likes is crazy, y’all. Come on. Show, bro, some appreciation. You’re a busy dude. Don’t worry. But I I apologize, bro. I won’t be getting much sleep tonight. I’ll be up watching all the highlights. Go Bulls. Shout out to Cood, bro. What up, Hayes? Are Bulls uh looking mob deep out there? Yeah, they looking good. What does Iowa have to do to get over 20 million? Aa over 20. I don’t man over 20 you’d have to win six man of the year award. Um but uh yeah, I think 18 to 20 is the sweet spot for IO. A’s we have never wavered. Uh, my guy, I want to know the switch up on these content guys and what the goalpost move is. Now, I’m going to be watching. I tell you that much. I’m going to be watching because there were a lot of content creators that spent a lot of time saying that the Bulls didn’t improve, they were never going to improve, that they were going to be a 3-1 team. There’s been a lot of that. I’m gonna be watching. That’s all I can say. I’m gonna be watching. Bench is back. You’ve been kind of saying that since preseason. Hey, I I’ve I’ve Man man. Please don’t split up I own Modest. They have great friendship and chemistry. That’s a fact. That’s definitely a fact. Definitely a fact. I bet Zach wish he was on this version of the team. No, because it wouldn’t be this team if it wasn’t if it if Zach was here. And no knock on Zack, but like Zack has Zack is an isolation player. And I just don’t know if we can play the type of team ball that we do right now if a Zack Lavine or Demard Rosen was on this team. I just don’t know that. Maybe I’m wrong on that. Discreet says, “Uh, I fear I may play himself out.” Why? Why? He wants to be here. Keep in mind he wants to be here. The Bulls have more than enough money to keep him. We’ll see. Just join. This was such an impressive win. And for those that were complaining the team wouldn’t do jack [ __ ] stay on that side of the switch up. You know the switch up is coming, bro. You know this the switch up is coming. It’s unavoidable. The switch up is definitely coming, brother. It’s definitely coming. I think P finally found a spot just coming off the bench as a seventh and eighth man. It’s the most consistent I’ve seen him look since we drafted him. I mean, listen, P will and I also think this right and I and I want to give credit and credence to this. I had said that maybe maybe Pew’s defensive slide was because of the foot injury and I’ll say so far through the season that looks legit. Peewee’s defense is back. He guarded guards, he guarded forwards, he guarded Chris stops. So the defense is back and it seems like he has he’s more consistently aggressive offensively. The one thing that Pee Will is doing that is really good is that he when when he has a smaller player on him, he’s actually attacking that. And that isn’t something we’ve always seen from P Will. So you got to love to see that part of it. I’d love to see that part of it. But all right y’all, I’m going to get ready to wrap this up. We got to go do Locked on Bulls. Um, and I don’t want to leave Pat up waiting super late for me with Locked on Bulls. So, thank you guys for tuning in, man, to this postgame show. THE VOICE OF THE FANS!

Just finished the game that was another exciting game. This team is possibly legit. I wish I caught up and caught the live dont forget locked on Bulls and Pat, the song!
Jalen Smith is booty dawg 💩
Giddey's assist number aren't as high because of trey and also because he is starting offense and they are swinging the ball around more so he is getting loads of hockey assists, plus they couldn't hit any threes to start the game
79 more to go!
It's fun. It's scatter ball. Turnovers be damned seems to be the attitude. If they continue to win with a mob and scatter ball it's going to piss a lot of people off. Then we will see.
The Bulls are at their best when they share the ball and keep it moving. Long way to go tho🎉
Kobe… the X factor.. it's Up!!!❤
Pdub playing well to start the season, you love to see it! Him, Ayo, Heurter, Smith, and eventually Jones off the bench might be the best second unit in the east this year
Does Coby coming back soon ruin the new chemistry?
Take a shot for PWill he finally emerging from his shell
Giddey would have had a triple double if teammates could hit 50% of their shots..
I won't mess with the giddey combo with Tre Jones. Tre Jones play his role very well. BUT I'd love to see why Ayo can do starting. He can really hoop and really improved. Those injuries hurt. I hope they don't trade him.
Yo I think I said ayo should be saying why he can’t be most improve player.
Good defense and good ball movement is the key. They dont have that go to superstar to get a bucket. They do it by committee on both ends. Theyre ballin
Yo now bulls playing Kings after a back to back. We looking like an assassin team this year.
Go Bulls we look great been a bulls fan for 38 years this years will be different and I love it
It's nice to start the year and not be in a whole fighting to get to .500
This is such a fun bulls team this year to listen to
WHAT A GAME MANNNNN😂😂
Big up to bro, it’s been a while but happy for you happy for the Bulls. Mad respect to you and let’s go Bulls
Nice Matt Peck slam! Those guys are abysmal to watch.
Man I wish the playoffs started now the Bulls would be in it for sure. Man Bulls basketball is back and firing on all cylinders go bulls
Bulls are going to catch the Kings on a back to back so there's a really good chance they start 4-0.
Can we all agree now that the Bulls actually won the Zach Lavine trade?
And the surprising part is that their style of play is very sustainable. They don't need to chuck as much 3s.
Hey Haize. Sorry I couldn't watch the live, I was at work but I have a question.
How much of Billy's coaching improvement comes down to this roster?
It seems to me that this current team first roster fits his coaching style better than the ISO heavy roster he had with Demar and Lavine.
Hopefully Cobe will be the Bulls closer. They had alot of 24 second violations.
That's how the refs take players out of their game 🤬🤷
They actually wear teams down
Bet the ref's won't foul out flagg in 12mins.🤬🤷
Haize the Bulls are the real deal!!! See RED!!! Go Bulls ✌️ 💯 💪 👊!!!
Not to be funny Haize cause im a Heat fan but does this mean Billy Donovan is a good coach who didnt have enough weapons to use correctly or am I bugging?
Love ya and your podcast Mr Haize!
Im exctiee and this start feels good. Lets not overlook we beat the magic, pistons and the hawks. Not exactly top tier competition. Still fun tho!
A 3-0 start against playoff teams man thats a good feeling as Bulls fan
Bulls are going to win East conference playoffs
I love every single player in this team and the coaches
Good that Zack Lavine and DeMar DeRozen left the team.. They were the problem. They had no defense… Now Sacramento Kings inheriting same problem. You must be two way player… Tomorrow game with Kings will prove it.
Bulls have 5 superstars this season and another 5 stars developing
without their maybe best player in coby, one of their best big man in Zac ,Noah still learning ,bunch of money to spend this summer and all of are own assets moving forward not to mention Portland looks like it could make the playoffs
Is it too early to say “ The bench mob 2.0” now!!?
I say it’s not. Let’s go Bulls!
Billy is coaching his A🤬 off!!!
Hear bc bears lost and i cant listen to bears content after a loss. Painful reminder. Need the balls to keep winning so I can get my fix of happy Chicago sports content.
The o/u for bulls wins was 32.5 on several platforms. That was the easiest over ive ever placed.
Bulls are deep. And talented with good coaching. The east is wide open and as weak as its ever been. All this without our best scorer.
I do NOT trust Portland to keep playing well throughout the season.
Ayo took cobys spot..better defender..ball dont stick
The Bulls are playing good basketball, but they haven't played no talent yet. They have played good teams, but no talent.
