Way better than Chuck Clark. He got schemed out with Vrabel’s defense. Singed a 4 year 58mil deal last year. Maybe if we keep throwing money at the defense they will get better.
Another $15 million into the highest paid defense in the league. Maybe $175 million is the magic number!
Soon we’ll have the entire Jarod Mayo Patriots starting lineup
Any chance a new head coach was part of the trade?
Can he teach the defense to tackle? Be worth it if he can.
Khan at least isnt content and doing something. Not gonna move the needle a ton, but still addresses a key issue
I mean I liked Dugger during the draft process, haven’t watched much of him since… but wtf was the point of signing Peppers then? Im not mad about it, just confused
This is one the Steelers best trades since giving away minkah fitzpatrick. 🤪
A result of a deshon elliot injury. I like him as a player, the only problem is that he has to play in our scheme.
We got our guy
It’s honestly sad how much money has been poured into the defense and it’s deadline time and we still have to send off draft capital at that side of the ball. Need IDL as well.
Waste of money, waste of a roster space, and we lose a 6th round pick. Horrible trade that does not push the steelers to the next level.
Gotta respect it they’re trying atleast
Elliot replacement
Did we throw in a head coach who doesn’t live in his fears?
I’ve never felt like giving up at 4-3 but wow Sunday night was demoralizing
Can’t say this will fix our defense but this has to be an upgrade over Thornhill and Clark. He’s an actual starter level safety. Hopefully Elliot gets healthy soon
We’re down a safety, and I’m guessing this guy is better than whoever we have on the practice squad.
If you look at the all 22 it’s very clear that No. 21 is the weakest member of the defense. He’s too slow. He’s not an NFL player anymore.
They had to do something to get him on the bench. Jabril Peppers not playing much doesn’t bode well for his NFL future either. If you can’t get on the field with this defense, then you are probably not going to make it.
They have to figure out how to hide Slay and that’s not going to be easy. I think they probably need to move Echols outside. Slay looks cooked out there. I’m even open to bringing back Beanie Bishop at this point.
Has been awful in coverage. Just what we need. Assuming this was an acquisition that’s playing the role of a band aid. Just…meh.
The Khan Artist!
pats fan, if you like a hard hitting safety that can lock down tight ends…well it won’t be him unfortunately. Maybe could transition to linebacker and be a run stuffer
See how this goes
If we get Riq woolen I’ll be content. Hopefully Dugger can replace Queen on 3rd down cause Queen is terrible.
Pats fan here, he was our second round pick in a year we didn’t have a first.. so he got treatment like a first. Played well under BB, and played hurt most of all year under Mayo,, but didn’t use injuries as an excuse. As others have mentioned he was a liability in coverage in Vrabels offense. I liked him, hopefully he can resurrect his career. Wish for the best for him, just not when you play the Pats.. Hopefully a rematch in the playoffs!
Not mad about it. We have the money and Elliott is going on IR so we need someone better than Clark to start.
Bargin bin bottom feeder shopping as usual with the MVS and Dugger trades. Rodger’s is 42, you can’t BS around. You need to make big trades for real impact players. His time is limited and we’re wasting it. You have to go ALL IN.
Not surprised Vrabel was willing to trade. It’s a salary dump for somebody who isn’t great anyways. I don’t blame him. Just signed a 4 year $58M deal last year
I was just hoping for this ealier today. Probably won’t save our defense, but I think it’s the best player we could have acquired at this point.

Signed 2 more years? Eh, idk about this one.
Good move
