Should’ve won that in OT
Missed opportunities and poor special teams is the story of this game.
Had chances to truly impose our will on this team early on and in the second period, and failed to capitalize. Then we had a golden opportunity to seal it with a 4 on 3 power play in OT and failed to do so. Going into a shootout against Karlsson, Terry and McTavish without Barkov shooting for us is a recipe for disaster.
Meanwhile we gave up a Shorthanded goal and power play goal and went 0 for on the power play tonight.
Not going to win games playing like that.
Currently 2 wins in our last seven games. We need to either start stringing together some wins or we’ll be in a hole real quick.
With how injured they are, Bob with the night off, and how long they trailed in this game – totally fine with the result.
These guys just have to maintain until Chucky gets back. Depth is seriously strained right now, and will be until then.
Not expecting Barkov back at all, but make the playoffs and get a couple rounds in…maybe.
At 5-5-1, things are going about as well as you can hope.

I wasn’t even expecting a point when they went down 0-2. We didn’t lose a single shootout last year. But then again, we had Barkov. And Bob too for most of them.
I was so excited for this season to start during the summer. Roster full of winners we were bringing back for another go, a real fuck-you season. That got derailed real fast and it’s been disappointing and frustrating to watch our remaining top guys not deliver. Reinhart is the only one kind of pulling his weight.
I’ll take the point, but that was a game they needed to win.
Doesn’t matter, got point. I’m happy with that given the state of our roster/infirmary.
Good thing October is over. This game pissed me off with that little twerp‘s shootout stunt. Total bitch move.
Honestly shocked we came back to tie it so losing in a SO isn’t the worst
frustrating loss especially when granlund trouba and gudas weren’t playing but what can ya do
