NHL Highlights | Capitals vs. Stars – October 28, 2025

And it’s tonight the night we see goal number 900 from Alex Ovuchetkin. Every time this guy’s on the ice will hold our breath. Every goal he scores is a new record. Both of these teams have played very well at least of late. The Capitals 3 and0 so far this season. He circles the net. Steel survey special again point to point. That shot Petra off the right pad of Thompson and nicely dangled out of harm’s way. 23 years old in his second year in the league. Tom Wilson with a follow and he is off to a magnificent start this season as well. Point to point it goes and shot towards the net by Prous. Knocked out high slot. Wilson chips Pierre Luke Dubis checked up against the boards. Tom Wilson wraps it all the way around to a vacant point. Matt Roy back to retrieve. It’s across to Proise. the one touch and Duba on the move through center drops to Wilson. Nice pass to Prous off the blocker of Aer. Point blank look for Alexi Prous. And Ager knocked it. Six. One of those guys that just has come. Look how wide open he is. And that’s a breakdown for the Dallas Stars. There’s no center there helping out. It’s Tyler eyes the crease. Floats well off the outside of the net. Ends up with Ranton in the corner. But Pierre Luke Duba digs in. Saving a takeaway. A drive by Labushki. Glove save made by Logan Thompson. Ryan Leonard actually said he was made in a laboratory. He said he’s unreal being in the dressing room especially because Ray Ferraro used to play this game as that shot off the pad of Ottinger ends up out of the zone. Thomas Harley and Thomas Harley is financially secure. That’s a story that Emily Kaplan will have coming up a short time from now. Spencer Carbury gets wideeyed when he talks about him. Off skates in front and it carams in on Hot Oner. A pass that was going cross corner pass Petravic back to the point. Pointto point it goes. Carlson flips one into traffic in front. That shot by Ethan Frank. Harams up into the netting. The heavy nature of his game. He’s a three-time heart winner. Ninetime Rocket Rashard winner. I mean, it’s incredible what he’s been able to do with a drive gobbled up by Attenture. It’s amazing to think. Petravic towards the net. Save made by Logan Thompson. found that one through traffic and blockered it away. Causing havoc is PLLD ties up Wyatt Johnston. It’s Prouside open room. Baravari shot blocked in front and there’s a penalty. Harley keeps it in. Rantin back to work. Needs Harley at the point. Rantin top of the circle. Shoot. Save. Logan Thompson and Roy with the clear. And that will do it. And now Jason Robertson wrists one off the end boards out in front. stuffed that on the doorstep taken and he couldn’t put it past Logan Thompson off the intentional Robertson bank off the end boards they got the bounce they wanted Johnston chips it over the stick of Rantin checked by Farraari back to the point Hasten with some roomin now hoping for a shooting lane hasten finds one save made snapped out of midair power play is now over two shots on that power play for Dallas they still can’t solve Thompson it’s been hard to do this year. Stick save made by Ager at the opposite end. 19 seconds to go in the opening period. Steel on the back pedal. Long wrist. Save through traffic by Thompson. Wheel around wrist into traffic as well by Fox. And that ended up in the blue paint and no further. Fishell towards the net between the legs. One of the rising su I can’t even say rising superstars anymore. He’s arrived. He is a a great player for these Dallas Stars. See what he has in store for us here in this middle stanza. and his goal totals have increased each of his three years in the NHL. 24 as a rookie and now back up top. Hasten down to the goal line. A return from Sean Granted and one-time save. Thompson in perfect position. Calmly blockered it away into the right wing corner it goes. Dug free and cleared by Farravari. No, not past Ren. Kept it in. Sean centering pass score. Deflected in front. That may have just been a fortunate bounce for Tyler Sean as he was looking to center one through the crease and it ends up in the back of the net. Well, Tyler Sean had his chances in the f the second power play in the first period which we saw three times that he couldn’t bury it in this one. He gets a little help as he’s back there. He’s on the flank and then he comes back on the blue line and he does an excellent job of keeping this puck in. You can see it’s on its edge. It doesn’t get out. It’s a he’s on his backand. So what he does the he goes around the horn. That’s a subtle play. A good one. And then you see that uh Tyler Sean looking tries to free up case digs it free. Here is Ovetkin. Ovetkin shoots high off the blocker. It looked like maybe a piece. A one-touch leave. Ranted into Johnston. Wrist shot fought off by Logan Thompson to the corner. The moose checked by Nick Dow. Povilier escapes, crisscrosses with Sordic across the line. Sort of puts on the brakes, finds the trailer. That shot goes through the top of the crease from Dow. Grant it in back the other way. Across the line through contact of Carlson out in front. Stopped on net. Save made by Logan Thompson on Robertson. Robertson just drove the net. Found the loose puck, but he couldn’t stuff it past Logan Thompson. Chisum off his shoulder pounded by Adam Ernie and it’s freed up to Van Remstead and Frank moves in with a step drives the net brought about a wraparound instead feeds the point Chisum that shot in front saveinger off a deflection that may have hit the stick of Liam Bishell in action tonight with a wrist and you can follow all the games on ESPN plus every night working his way out in front A Pierre stopped by Auter and especially tonight cutins, power plays, goals, lookins during our frozen frenzy coverage on ESPN Plus with Bougie and Weeky. So you definitely if you’re a hockey fan want to check that out. Chisel long range risker blocker away by Auter Edmonton learned a lot. Dubis centers protest blocker save made point blank by Auterr off to Dubis here. Luke Dub piouetses peels away from Sean as the Stars had to tag up. They were offside. Trotous gains the zone. Wrist shot gobbled up by Jakeer across the Dallas line working on Hasten. Drives behind the net. Snow showers in the corner. Feeds it up top. Verari with room. Shoot save. The rebound pops up and it’s taken behind the net by Hkin. Harley moves it. It’s been really fun to see his development and now here tonight playing with the grade eight himself. tipped in on Uttoner as Bavilier Grant and missed the net. Protis back the other way. Carlson sliding stick by steel to disrupt the pass Carlson as he activates. Sort of keeps it in the offensive zone. Carlson off the blocker of Aer 10 to go in the period. Aravari is deep. Petravic is there. Alexi Prous plays it back to the point. It’s held in Carlson over to Sorn who pivots back to Carlson. One timer save made positionally by Aer off that drive. Another couple puck comes in. Pierre L Dubo had a look. And that’s something that’s really going to be tested here in these last 30 uh 20 minutes. And of course we are awaiting as is. Harley will try and skate it free. Had his pocket picked. Mcichael lost it. Finding it. Backhander as Pavilier put one on net and was stopped by Atoner. Back door cut. A good pass from Bavilier and not missing by much on the far side was La Pierre. It’s across to Van Remsteike. Little shimmy shake. Wrist shot save on the rebound loose and it slides Kaspa there and Mcichael comes away with it. Prous short-handed. Protice on Hasten. Shoots at the post. A chance for an oddman rush the other way. Long wrist shot gobbled up in foot by Logan Thompson. Lost the rebound. It is in the slot. A shot. Save made by Thompson on Fork and it’s in the netting. Play. There’s been action in front of him. It’s not as if it’s been Oie’s at the other end of the ice, but to stay sharp, to stay in it, and he’s got Look at the movement he’s got to make. This is of man rush. Threeon two through center holding his bastion to the net. Save made by Thompson as Ernie aware of him. Luxury for Dallas. Shot on the doorstep. Scrolling as Thompson. Where is it? Step attempt and he does a snow angel in the blue paint. Dub to the goal line. Whips a pass up top. Carlson settles it down. Room for Chick. He can wire it. He’ll shoot it. Save to Mcichael. It is Carlson looking a pass back to Mcichael. Carlson has it. Ovetkin in front. Wilson puts it on that second man. Snapping the pads together is Upinger. Hard to believe Ovuchkin didn’t shoot it. Right. So that’s what that’s a great play by Ovetchkin to know that everybody in the building thinks he’s going to shoot it and he looks to try to find Tom Wilson. Tom Wilson leads the team in power play goals. He does a great job. Four seconds to go and it looks like this will be the second career shut out and sixth career win against no losses. Yeah. Heat.

Tyler Seguin scored the lone goal of the game, and Jake Oettinger stopped all 24 shots he faced to help the Dallas Stars shutout the Washington Capitals in a 1-0 win.

  2. Либо тренер Вашингтона купленный или это приехать Овечкина 👎👎👎не могут забить, поменяй тактику поставь Ови в офис и он пробил бы его возможно! Овечкин хочет доказать что он ещё может с игры забить 🤦🤦🤦

  3. what a boring game 🤦‍♂️ NHL should apply new rule, that if both teams are not scoring at least 2 goals in regular time, game needs to be repeated.
