I know there’s a lot of things wrong with Cam’s play right now. But I know in my heart of hearts, I know in my gut that he would be looking elite on a better roster with a real coaching staff… I’m so scared that this will be his trajectory. Amy breathing down everyone’s neck and the Coaches are being so job scared and hungry for a change they will throw cam to the side next season and he’ll go to another team and dominate. He holds on to the ball too long, yes, but PFF stats have our receivers separation as 32nd in the league.

We might have the worst WR corps in the history of the league. It’s without question the worst WR corps in franchise history… We have two rookie 4th round picks as our WR1/2 for fucks sake. I swear some people on this sub don’t watch or understand just how bad we are compared to the rest of the league. It’s like they’re playing a completely different sport than us. Our roster is so beyond abysmal. Watch any all22 breakdown of Cam, there’s literally NOONE open 80% of the time. And our OL breaks down after 2 seconds so he’s forced to take sacks, that in all honesty Levis would try and throw on and make a bunch of turnovers.

  1. This post shows that organizational leadership matters. We don’t have it and neither do the giants, jets, or browns.

  2. It’s late and I just happened to stumble on this thread (NFC fan) but I will say as someone who watches draft classes very closely—

Anyone who says the Titans would be tempted to take a QB if they get a top pick is a clown. There’s some intriguing depth maybe in this QB class, but anyone who would give up Ward for this crop after one year is insane.

  3. Not a Titans fan but this popped up on my feed. Ward can be a stud. He was a monster in college. He doesn’t have the roster around him to support him. Y’all should have your QB. Just need a draft or two to go well and snag a few steals in FA and y’all will contend for the south.

  4. All 3 of those teams listed are in clear rebuilds. Also who do we blame when the quarterback doesn’t have a redemption arc? Are we allowed to blame Justin Fields, Josh Rosen, Jameis Winston, and Mitch Trubisky?

  5. I think cam will succeed and become a good to great qb.

I have my doubts that that will happen in Nashville. And that’s a titans problem, not a cam problem.

Prime Brady or manning or mahomes would look like shit on this offense. The coaching has been comical, and I highly doubt we nail the hire. This organization is just a clusterfuck.

  6. We still pretending the offensive line is horrible? They’ve been fine mostly.

Cams been horrible so far, whether you blame him for that or not is up to you. Either way don’t we think we would’ve been better off trading back and building out the roster more before drafting a QB to play in this horror show situation? I agree that no QB would’ve succeeded for us this season, which is why it didn’t make sense to draft one first overall when they’re not a can’t miss prospect.

I feel like people want to say that it wasn’t a mistake to draft Cam instead of trading back, and they also want to say Cam had no chance to succeed this season based on the roster and coaching. If he didn’t have a chance was it really the right move for us or him to draft him?

  7. I’ve never said Cam Ward is awful. I’ve said he’s not good enough to overcome the dumpster fire of an organization that drafted him.

Having said that, I don’t think putting Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen or any other top tier quarterback on this roster would make much of a difference either. Maybe we’d have 3 or 4 wins instead of 1?

I honestly feel sorry for the kid.

  8. Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold haven’t been with those organizations for 5+ years. Giants won a playoff game with Dan Jones the year before he left. Cam Ward will be good but this is a dumb tweet

  9. Okay…

I look forward to 2028, when he is thrown off this team and signs with the Steelers, Bills, or Broncos and becomes a competent quaterback.

How is this supposed to make me feel any better about my Titans? They are the sad poverty franchise Cam Ward has to do time with before he is run out of town and redeems himself with a competent team?

I don’t even blame him for us being such garbage. Of course we are garbage. We don’t know what we are and the little things we had as an idenity are long, gone, and dead. because we keep chasing the hotest new trend straight out of ESPN talking head’s mouths.

I guess I am just happy that we have more proof that this fantasy of tank to win actually achieves anything a majority of the time.

  10. Agree with most of what you wrote. However, I don’t think the Titans have the worst WR corp. They’re by no means great, or even average. The reason they’re so bad at separating is because the scheme so often has receivers running routes near each other. It’s difficult to get separation when one DB can cover two WR because the coaching staff has the WR running sub optimal routes. This is something Kurt Warner has pointed out multiple times, in great detail.

With a good scheme and decent coaching, I think our WRs could approach average. We still need a true #1, but I don’t think we’re as devoid of talent as so many people think. We’re just not using it properly.

  11. Those QBs all put up better stats their rookie season than Ward. I get what they’re trying to say but just because the Browns suck now doesn’t mean Mayfield was playing poorly his rookie season.

  12. No reason to use only examples of guys that left their teams. There are plenty of examples of guys that had slow starts then had a roster built around them.

Troy Aikman also started 1-15, losing all 11 of the games he started. Finished with three super bowls.

Peyton Manning went 3-13 and set the rookie record for interceptions. Five MVP’s, two SB’s, HOF.

    Terry Bradshaw went 5-9 his rookie year. 6TD’s, 24 INT’s. 4 SB’s, 2 time SB MVP.

Joe Burrow went 2-7-1 in year 1, then got a true WR1. One of the best QB’s in the league and consistently beating the player en route to becoming the greatest or second greatest QB in history.

Goff went 0-7 as a rookie and then to a SB a year later.

Plenty of QB’s are on shit teams at the start and go on to lead their developed teams to success in the future. Bad teams have high picks that they use on QB’s. One bad following year the next year gives you more high picks to start to put a roster together. In a league rife with parity that’s all we need. It looks like we’ve had a decent class and have a QB. We just need a good draft and coach this coming year.

  13. Negativity generates clicks. The hate will only ever stop if the public stops consuming it.

The titans have a very steep road to climb and letting go young talent in low value trades just makes it take longer. All that capnspace means nothing if no high quality free agents believe the organization has a viable plan to win. Remember how hard it was to get free agents before Rak blessed us? We’re there again.

  14. We could’ve had one of them and traded the #1 pick to shore up multiple positions

  15. Thw owner of that post is an idiot based on how previous tweets, But he has a point this time

  16. AAS’s early hires were fantastic and she fired Jrob probably too late but earlier than fans would have. Vrabel getting fired looks bad now, probably was bad in hindsight, but from the reports it sounds like his ego was 100% out of whack. Also, remember, there were TONS of people who hated the Vrabel hiring and said Mularkey should have gotten the job…. she made the hire and it was a good one. Honestly he probably wasnt even ready if you just looked at his resume but she got it right.

Further, good coaches become great and win their superbowls usually on their second stop, largely in part (probably) because they learn from their mistakes. Seriously, just about every coach to win a SB in the past 25ish years has been a coach on their 2nd or 3rd stop- (BB was TECHNICALLY on his 3rd HC stop since he was the HC of the Jets for a day lol). My point on that is that despite Vrabel being a good coach that doesnt mean he was going to continue being good FOR US had he stayed here; Vravel and the organization needed a fresh start (unfortunately).

Having said all that, AAS definitely needs to fix her hiring process and give a little more leeway with this current group and whoever the new HC is BUT people calling her a bad owner and not caring about the team, etc. are factually wrong. She clearly wants to win and loves this team- probably to her and the teams detriment (hence the quick trigger).
