God damn we are selling hard today,I liked dugger and he was pretty decent like 2 years ago but he’s clearly not that guy anymore, good luck in pit kyle
The Patriots signed S Kyle Dugger to a 4-year, $58M deal just last year, but that was before Mike Vrabel arrived with his new defensive scheme.
Dugger has started 69 games and recorded 9 INTs in his career.
We’re about to clean up the 2026 6th round of the draft, the other 31 teams better beware.
2nd 6th rd pick of the day and both 7th rd picks are gone.
I wonder if they can package both 6th for anything or keep them
Edit: I forgot that makes it 4 sixth rd picks in total
Gotta be stockpiling picks for a big move no?
Always been a fan of Dugger. Sad to see him go.
Do we retain any salary? If not then this is a steal imo
Two open roster spots ☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻
How does that impact our cap space next year or two?
Damn, legit probably my favorite Patriots of the last few years. Shame he didn’t work out in Vrabel’s scheme.
Also possibly the best player the Patriots have ever had to user control on defense on Madden.
Steelers fan coming in peace here, how is Dugger?
Loved you as a young player, IDK if its all just the new scheme or if he got a little lazy after getting paid, but he just ain’t the same. Would have been happy as a salary dump, getting a pick upgrade is just gravy.
Don’t love either move personally, thought Duggar still had something left and Keion still has potential 🤷♂️ oh well hopefully this means we’re adding players via trade as well
Let’s hope this opens some space for a good buy
He’s been playing a lot of snaps the last couple games. Guess the coaches are sick of seeing him out there lmao
Might be trying to clear up money for someone 👀👀👀
Huge salary save
Wow we didnt get a damn thing for these guys
With this move, I do feel like we’re going to make a trade for Chubb from the dolphins. Inter division trades are rare, but not impossible.
Nice, making room for Myles Garret
These are homie deal trades. Getting guys who are probably good dudes but bad fits onto teams where they’ll have a chance to succeed. Love it.
I like the Pats doing this for these guys. They lost their role here but have been good guys for us, they deserve another shot somewhere else.
Probably making room for the contracts they’ll need to pay later. Hope they prove me wrong and get someone.
Steelers love collecting old washouts on defense. Ramsey/Slay/Peppers and now Dugger. Whatever they’re doing isn’t working because their defense has fallen off big time. I think having some amount of youth on D is important.
These two trade returns feel a bit underwhelming, but feels like they chose to do good by the players. Two good landing spots.
What a fantastic trade. Actually got something and dumped a massive contract. A+ move.
😂
Vrabel wasn’t content whacking Andrews and Cardona.
Finally, all old family business is settled.
Unless we making a move for someone feels like we are losing some serious depth on defense here…
6. FUCKING 7.
We’ll always have that 2023 season. Thanks for the memories 🫡🫡
Another rough day for the wolf pack
We need to trade for shaheed
Clearing more cap… coming soon..HERTZ COUNTER
While it sucks to see both go, I have a huge issue trading Dugger to the Steelers. You just made a conference rival better for what will essentially amount to a nothing pick.
PETTUS SZN
Not surprised by either trade tbh. Both Keion and Kyle haven’t been good this year. There must be something coming because we are so light at safety.
We should all be valued in life as much as Patriots value 6th round picks.
Question: how many DBs of ours does Pittsburgh need?
Stacking up those 6th-round picks to move up to the 5th-round.
New England traded a backup in Dugger that has a contract of 4 years/$58 million. And Keion White became a backup with significantly reduced snap counts. Patriots probably received as much value as they could freeing up some money. Cut them loose, get some draft capital and keep improving the team with players that fit Vrabel’s vision/scheme. Future is bright!
