Mad props for not being a bitch. Clearly injured, did everything he could to make it to the bench.
To be expected of course of an NHL player, you dont see that in smy other pro sport
he could just *skate* over there, what a clown
Reminds me of the closing minutes of the Game 6 of the 2022 SCF when a shot hit Landeskog’s skate blade and popped it out and Mack was trying to push him to the bench.
Martin Fehéváry lost one in a Caps game not long ago and proceeded to just skate on one blade all the way back to the bench. Thing of beauty.
Reminds me of the Emperor, scrabbling around like Gollum, after Mace Windu defeated him and wanted to yeet him out of the window.
One of my favourite things about hockey, is how the absolute best in the world can instantly loose the single most important ability required to play the game.
They immediately become 5 year olds again and it’s always hilarious. No other sport has this.
Still better than Nurse.
Looks like 11 pm beer league.
In jv and hs hockey we had drills on skating on one foot, he’s having fun.
Reminds of the cats slipping on ice gifs
was there another expansion? what team is this? i havent been keeping up with nhl since seattle got added
*insert goofy walk sound effect*
So I do skate an NHL level. Thats pretty cool!
Good hustle
Yackity sax intesifies
Did he lose his skate blade? I’ve seen this happen before. Can’t see the video close enough
Broken blade sucks
This was fucking hilarious in person. I couldn’t focus on the play at all, I was just watching Martinook struggle.
And this video is only half of what happened. At one point, Martinook was laying flat on his stomach and swinging his stick around on the ice to play defense.
I like the stick held out from the bench like he’s pulling someone drowning out of a river
Broken steel
That looked like me on two good skates!!!
Me in my beer league when I forgot to take my blade protector off.

Is this why my coaches growing up had us do so many one-legged C-cuts?
Losing a blade must suck. Not only are you a hindrance because they can’t get someone else on until you’re off, but you also look so silly.
I don’t understand why blade holders are straight. They should be cut to at least have teeth to cut into the ice. We see this way too often
I finally have a role model in the NHL. Not to brag but I can do that without losing a blade.
