Let’s get the fellas in and get this show on the road. Welcome to everybody in chat. And welcome both to Michael Reis and Connor Rabjack who join us right now. Fellas, what’s going on? Feeling good. Uh, feeling good here today after uh yesterday’s frozen frenzy. So much to get to. Uh, Jets win, Jay’s win, Bombers getting ready for CFL playoffs. I do have to correct you. XL Energy Center is the name it was given 25 years ago, but it just changed to Grand Casino Arena. Who can keep track? Oh, come on. Really? It’s no longer the XL Energy Center. Uh they didn’t throw back the name as they did were the throwback jerseys for the 25th anniversary yesterday. I did love seeing Gabri uh Pier Mark Buchard, Brian Rollston, who I loved uh for his big slapper, but it was another Jet Jets win yesterday in Minnesota. So uh happy to be here. Well, and uh Connor uh of course uh doing postgame coverage for the Jets, getting ready for the show, paying attention. You’re you must be getting pretty good at multitasking these days during this wild October we’ve had. Yes, it’s it’s the best time of year for multiple screens, Hus. And I had multiple going and it was Frozen Frenzy last night and there was NBA on which I tune into now and then, but my two screens stayed on the two things all night long. And that’s the Jets against the Wild and the Jays against the Dodgers tying up the series. Even found time before to go to World Sports and pick up this fresh new World Series Jays hat. Look at that. Look at that. I found some time yesterday to go do that before the major sporting events happened in the evening and yeah, the postgame coverage list and I breaking down the 4-3 overtime win. Far from the Jets agame, I’m sure we’ll talk about it, but a fun game nonetheless. And an elite jersey matchup with the Jets Heritage Blues versus the Wild and their 25th anniversary whites. Yeah, and listen, just before we get a million uh uh questions in the chat, uh if you missed yesterday, the World Series Blue Jays lids came in early yesterday at Royal. I mentioned it on the show, Connor was there within 20 minutes to grab his hands. I just texted Greg over at Royal and they uh they have not sold out, so they do have and they they got quite a few of them. So, if you’re dying for uh and maybe this is just uh being very proactive when it comes to uh when it comes to your Christmas list, um the lids are in right now. And I can tell you it was impossible to get those in Toronto when I was there on the weekend. So, um Royal once again the spot. They’ve got them all in a bunch of the different styles. I like your choice, Connor, though. I think of all the one the classic white front panel with the World Series brim. Uh the guys have looked great in it and uh oh man, those baby blues they were wearing last night. Looked pretty good and uh what a game it was. Listen, we’re going to get into the Jet win in just a minute and we’ll hear from Scott Arneal. But Reis, I’ll start with you. Um what a gutsy bounceback for the Jays after an 18ing loss that could have been devastating to a team in their situation. Um, can’t say enough about the resiliency of this Blue Jays team. They went down early. It was Vlad stepping up. Sound familiar? With the two-run homer to give them the lead. And what can you say about Shane Bieber pitching the way that he did? Uh, they break out with another four in the top of the seventh. And, uh, really, it seemed like if there was a hangover from the 18 ining game, it was actually on the world champion Dodgers and not the Blue Jays. It’s kind of funny you you mentioned that and I was thinking the same thing. Otani, you know, after playing an 18 ining game hitting have to go out and pitch and you saw him get a little banged up there in that lengthy game and you have to wonder if there was an act, you know, an after effect. Wasn’t as sharp as he was in that 12 strikeout or 10 strikeout game against the Brewers. And the Jays needed a guy to step up with George Springer out of the lineup and it was Vladimir Guerrero Jr. for his seventh home run off the postseason. Uh two-run home run in the third. It sets the Jay’s career postseason record uh for homers. And you look at the pitching, Bieber was solid, you know, settled in uh struck out Otani twice, five and a third innings, three strikeouts, three walks, and were able to bridge it over to the bullpen. How about uh Chris Basset going back to back? He was great in that 18 inning game, and we thought he should have been going more. Well, he went two uh two yesterday and well done for the Jays and I thought they might throw him out for a three-inninging save last night. I mean, I was certainly watching the game there, but you know what that tells me, Ree, is I think that after how good he looked in the eight pitch performance in the marathon game and then taking care of business with two innings last night with where they were, they knew they could come in, you know, go to Louis Varland and hopefully get it done without getting to Hoffman. and keep Basset as more of a possibility for these next few days. I mean, the way how good he’s looked on the mound, I think really does change some of the options for John Schneider and Pete Walker when they’re talking about bringing guys out and when they can place relievers in because Basset has been absolutely nails in uh a relief role, one that he’s not usually accustomed to being in. Yeah, signed as a starter, but it’s that time of year where guys will do whatever they can to help the team win. And for him, you know, coming back from an injury, you’re not as stretched out and you don’t have the stamina that you do as a starter. And yeah, he’s been excellent here uh in the postseason, first time going backto back outings. So now, you know, you can trust him with that. And I agree for a Jay’s bullpen that had some question marks which led them, you know, to acquire what Sir Anthony Dominguez at the deadline. Having Basset, another arm in there who’s been very good. Uh certainly a bonus here heading into the final uh games of the series. Honor. Um it was the bottom of the lineup I thought that was the difference between the Jays and the Seattle Mariners in that seven game series. And listen, the lineup by the end second half of that 18 ining game was not even close to what they’d had. I mean, they taken out a bunch of the bats and it sort of bit them. I mean, you can never imagine that a game is going to go that long, but it was the guys at the bottom of the lineup again last night that stepped up big. I mean, big earn Ernie Clement getting it done. I know Jake will be talking about that when he comes on later on. Jimenez with that big hit as well. I I mean the one thing you can say about this Blue Jays team is that everybody has h had a hand in so many of these wins. And yes, the Dodgers have star power almost unlike any other team in North American sports, but it still does come down to execution and team play overall. And you know, starting with Shane Bieber going through one through the lineup, the guys that were tasked with playing with George Springer being out, everybody had a piece in that one, but especially the guys at the bottom of the lineup helping get those insurance runs late in the game, which were so big. Oh, so big. Like uh Andre Jimenez with the single to put the Jays up 3-1 instead of 2-1. And yes, Chris Basset was dealing and that’s been such a big um development for the Blue Jays and having him be this like randomly elite setup guy in the bullpen. But then Lucas comes up. Bash or Vlatty is supposed to come up and they intentionally walk him. Well, Bo Bashette looks to be back and he’ll just put 110 mph uh ball out off the wall in in right center or left center, excuse me, and score even more runs. And those insurance runs were so huge. Uh, I thought maybe they were going to get to Basset again in the ninth inning, Hus, but they had to get their scheduled Louis Varand appearance in there. One per game. He’s in there every single game. Louis Varand had to be in there to close it out. But yeah, you see the the Jay’s bottom of the lineup. And I agree with you, Hus. In the Mariners series, that was absolutely the difference. You can say the same about this series right now. The Dodgers bottom of their lineup is contributing nothing. It’s it’s like Andy Pahz comes up and he’s what, like four for 48 in the playoffs right now. Like he is an absolute black hole when it comes to any kind of bat or offense. And then you look at the nine hitter in the Jay’s lineup, Andre Jimenez, coming up with a huge single to give the Jays an extra run of insurance late in the game. So it was such a fun game for the Jays. Ernie Clement with the head first dive into first. Like this team just cares. It’s just so electric. That’s the most electric way to get a single hus is a head first dive into first. Um and and this team is just so much fun to watch right now. No, no George Springer yesterday either. No problem. Trey Savage today against Blake Snell. Same as the game one starters. Hopefully it goes the same as it did in game one for the Jays. Remo. It was uh it it this team was depleted. Uh Bo is a a shell of what he he’s basically just an expert singles hitter that can’t run right now. George Springer being out, it was it was time for the team once again to be carried by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. And if this team wins this series, we will look back at the two-run homer off Otani. By the way, I don’t know if you’ve seen that still shot of Vlad knowing that it’s it’s gone off of his bat and show turning around to see where it’s going. That will be one of the many Canadian heritage moments of this run. But uh just thoughts on Vlad stepping up again in the playoffs in the fashion that he did last night. Yes, the I mean his OPS uh 1.306 out of control as I mentioned before, seven home runs this postseason. Uh what a Blue Jays record. Incredible stuff we’re seeing. And they needed a guy to step up. It was Vladimir Guo Jr. with the big home run yesterday and then they had the big fourrun seventh inning. uh you know, tack on a little insurance, but he’s been the guy for them for every series. Has had huge moments uh huge homers and uh well done here for uh Vlad Guerrero Jr. And we we talked so much about how his him signing the contract at the beginning of the season, you know, really I think much like how Shaley and Hellbuck signing the contract for the Jets, you know, really brought the team together. I think that showed the commitment to Toronto and propelled them, you know, throughout the season. Well, cannot wait for uh for tonight uh game five. We’ll get into it more with Y Savage on the hill, Blake Snell, who was in on game one. We all remember how that one. So maybe we can uh rekindle the magic of last Friday night and uh give the Jays put the Jays one win away. The fact that and maybe I’m just scarred from being in the building watching Yamamoto do what he did on Saturday night. I really feel like the Jays need this one tonight if they’re going to win the World Series because that is going to be a tall task to beat Yamamoto on uh on Friday night. Um and I’ll tell you what, if it gets to game seven back at home in the dome, I don’t see why not they couldn’t be uh celebrating in the streets of Toronto at the end of this uh epic epic series. All right, we’re going to get into the Jets in just a minute. Do uh want to give a big shout out to our friends at Uptown Alley. It is so great to have Uptown Alley on board. Um Connor, I’ll lead it off with you here because um you of course did the postgame coverage and a reminder again after every game this year outside of Saturday games which will be covered on WST Sunday live. We’ve got a postgame report. Connor and Liss, shout out to Tyson Riki who jumped in after the Sunday game and did a great job. Um this was this was sort of a similar refrain uh to be perfectly honest. good start, couple goal lead, and then an ugly second period that flipped the game. But the Jets being the Jets did not quit. They managed to get one back in the third period to get it to overtime. And in overtime, number 81, Mr. Kyle F. Connor, almost automatic with the puck on his stick. thoughts on the game last night and uh before we get to Scott Arneil’s postgame comments that uh still looking to get that full 60-minute effort the second period to us it just keeps escaping the Winnipeg Jets right now but yeah it the first four goals of that game like when it was 2-2 going into the third all four of those goals were very weird goals like they were they were ugly the Jets two goals Valardi and Mezco were both deflections in front of a ton of traffic in front and then the Wilds two goals I mean Hellbuck was facing the other way on both the the the second one was absolutely bizarre. One of the most bizarre games we’ll see all season long. Agreed. Agreed. So, there was a lot happening. The Jets obviously didn’t play well in the second period. They were getting shelled quite a bit. Um and however Minnesota scored their two goals, they did. They generated a lot of chances in that frame. And then the Wild come out and take a 3-2 lead early in the third. Credit to the Jets though. I thought the final 10 minutes of that game, they really battled back. They got the goal. We thought it was Gustavis, but it ended up being Nino Rider still a revenge goal as Nino spent a lot of years with the Minnesota Wild as we know in Shifley, Connor and Morrisy, we’ve seen it so many times over the years. They are so much fun to watch in overtime. They run these little pick plays. They find open pockets in the offensive zone. And with Mark Shiffley having the puck on his stick and Kyle Connor wide open in the slot, that’s something that you just cannot do uh if you are the Minnesota Wild and and you’re going to lose that game. And Kyle Connor, that release unbelievable in overtime. The Minnesota Wild Hus, we knew that they were going to come out desperate. We talked about it or you guys talked about it yesterday on the show. They were 35-2. They’re 13th in the Western Conference right now. They’re not happy with how they’re playing to start this season. They were going to come out fiery at home. 25th anniversary jerseys against their rivals, the Winnipeg Jets, all of these things. The Jets, I thought, you know, good first period, went up two nothing. Still got to get these second periods figured out, but good on them to battle back, stage a comeback in the third period, and then in overtime, their best players doing what they do. You know, there’s still lots to improve on and we’ll get to Scott O’Neal after that. Um, but Remo, as Connor tweeted out afterwards the game, that makes it 90 and0 in their last nine head-to-head meetings against the Wild. And as I tweeted afterwards, that never gets old. Um, listen, you can pick apart a lot of parts of the game, but is a big divisional game on the road coming off a weekend where they didn’t really like the play and certainly the results. um to get those two points in that fashion. Very important for Winnipeg who’s going to take on a hot Chicago team coming in who just lit up the sends to the tune of seven to three last night. Connor Bdard with his first career hattick yesterday and for the Jets Hus was not the prettiest win. They got outshot especially in that second period out chance. But I think they’re just trying to survive here this period of time where you’re without Dylan Samberg, without Cole Perfetti and without Adam Lowry, it’s not going to look the prettiest. And they’ve reiterated over and over again they felt like they haven’t played a full 60 minutes. But when you’re looking at the standings and you see games played and the Jets record is 7 and three after 10, I think you have to be pretty, you know, pumped for that and knowing that there is room for improvement. But as you said, I mean, the Jets and Wild have had quite a rivalry going back the last couple years. Wild fans not happy with uh still not happy with Logan Stanley who really stuck it to them uh two assists. That was a couple years ago that he sat on Carell Capriov and injured him. And uh you know the Jets seem to have uh the wild number in these close games, but you said it when they get to overtime the shifley Morrisy Connor trio uh elite and Kyle Connor, you know, just a slight flick of the wrists uh finds a finds an opening and puts it past the wild goalie to give the Jets uh the win in OT. And I did see a tweet from uh what? From American Greg Washinsky noting, oh, Kyle Connor scoring an overtime winner. I don’t think they’ll Americans will ever get over not using him in that gold gold medal Four Nations game and instead playing injured Matthew Kachchuck. Yeah. For four minutes. Uh and and the corpse of Chris Krider who also couldn’t get off get off the bench. Just quickly before we hear from Arie, um Connor, the finish on Kyle Connor’s goal was uh I mean we know that this guy is an elite goal scorer and does very very special things, but even that one on the Kyle Connor scale was spectacular in the nonchalant way. He took the puck and credit to Shley for creating a little bit of extra space for him, but he just went in and it was off his stick and in the back of the net and uh Gustoson was skating to the bench literally in the blink of an eye. It was one of the calmst snipes I can remember in an NHL game in a long time. 81. I could not agree more, Hust. He made it look way too easy. And it’s like he’s wide open in the slot, too. It’s like that guy that can score that easily, that nonchalantly. You don’t want to leave that open in the middle of the slot for Mark Shyley to hit with a pass. And it was a game obviously three on three overtime is different, but it was a game all night long where there wasn’t a lot of space that the Jets had to work to get their chances, the ones that they did have in the Wild. I thought their forche really got on the Jets defense court early. And Hus, I was thinking of you as well. Uh Morgan Baron, if that play where he rubbed Carell Capriov out, lifted the stick, stepped to the middle of the ice, and ringed it off the crossbar. If that went in, that would have been the goal of the season so far, stealing it from the $17 million man and going bar down in Minnesota. But Morgan Baron, I thought, had a great game as well last night. Want to give a quick shout out to him. But yeah, Kyle Connor could not agree more. Made it look way too easy in overtime. You know what? Just on that, I mean, yesterday we were doing the clean line lines for the show and they did kind of shake up that middle six. I mean, uh, what did you think of the the new look of those lines, particularly what was happening in the middle with uh Morgan Baron moving up, Parker Ford coming into the lineup as the 4C? Yeah, I I was intrigued by the moves. Obviously, more Morgan Baron is something that seemingly everyone is on board for right now. So, him moving up in the lineup, I liked. Uh Liz, who I did the postgame with after the game, was intrigued by Nemesikov moving to the wing. With Adam Li’s return seemingly imminent here, it looks like that Nomesticov is going to be the guy that’s moving to the wing in this scenario. Um I thought Jonathan Taves had a really strong first period. He was all over the puck as well. So the center depth is be is is kind of forming for the Winnipeg Jets with Taves, Lowry coming back soon, and Baron who got a promotion last night up in the lineup. And I really I I know the analytics uh really across the board for the Winnipeg Jets didn’t look great last night, especially at five on five, but I thought that the Baron Nether Rider Nyquist line had some really good moments. They had the goal that got the Jets back in it tied at 3-3. And I think Nyquist and Nidita Rider are both two wingers that can benefit from having a guy like Baron in the middle who has the speed and can drive the net and get to the corners quickly and open up space for Gustav Nyquis who we know is more of an offensive skilled winger and does better with that space. So I am intrigued by that line. I’d like to see it again uh tomorrow night against the Chicago Blackhawks and maybe even Saturday against Pittsburgh. And then when Adam Lowry comes back, I think there’s going to be a whole another reshuffleling as the Jets get closer and closer to what they hope or what they hoped was their lineup for game one, but obviously has taken a few weeks to kind of come into shape here. Yeah, you did mention uh Logan Stanley, two assists, both in the first period. He now has six points in 10 games on the season. Stanzilla enjoying uh certainly the best offensive numbers of his career uh as a part of that win. Let’s hear what the coach had to say. Uh Ree, if you want to cue that up. And by the way, just before we get to Scott Arneal, uh no game today. Tomorrow of course is a Winnipeg Jets game day. And that means gang that all day long you can take advantage of the McDonald’s game day deals. Any day the Jets play, home or away, use the McDonald’s app, check out the offers, and take advantage of the iconic Big Mac or filt of fish for just $4.49 49 only at McDonald’s only through the game day only through the app for the game day deals on Winnipeg Jets game days and uh might be a little good uh pregame munch of Big Mac before the Jets take on the Chicago Blackhawks tomorrow. U here’s Scott Arneal the winning coach last night on uh a big win for uh for the Jets. Uh here’s Arie on on the game. Yeah, we stayed in the game. I mean, again, we’ll talk about this second period, but loved absolutely love the way we come out in the first second, got loose again. Um, you know, they they do a really good job of getting bodies around the net front and they throw a lot of pucks there and we saw that in the first and capitalized on a few of our mistakes in the second, but again, it was numbers at the net front by them and thought we cleaned it up in the third. Um, you know, that was a big goal that we that uh Nino Augustus, whoever got that one, that was a big goal, obviously in a in a game, divisional game that’s tight in this building. You know, got us back going again. And um, you know, KC does what he does. Like Kyle mentioned, I was convinced it was a Gusbust 2.0, but apparently it was Nino. Um, Gus got an assist. They were both in on it. That was a massive point in the game. It would have been a real sour taste in the Jets mouth if they had lost that one. in uh in regulation. And as we know, despite teams like Colorado that have four overtime losses and Edmonton that’s lost a couple, the Winnipeg Jets click in OT and usually 55 and 81 are involved and they were again last night. Uh before we hear about that, here’s what Arie had to say about the or his thoughts on uh kind of the uh the lines that were shaken up going into last night’s game. Yeah, we’ve been trying to find a little more offense other than just Sha’s line and um like you mentioned, I think all those other lines all had some good chemistry and had good good zone time. Um you know, they clicked um they clicked well together and that’s what you hope. Um I just like the fact that it’s spread out now. It isn’t just uh you know, the other team trying to shut down our top line and uh you know, we’re not getting other contributions from everybody else. I thought that was um you know not just goals but you know scoring chances which there was a lot more of. All right so you can tell Arie’s mood not great. I mean a win is a win and he talked about how he loves the fact that the team seven and three in their first 10game segment uh but there’s still a lot of work to do uh through that 60-minute game. Now they had to go OT. It was more than 60. And when you get to three on three, Josh Morrisy, Kyle Connor, and Mark Schiffley are liable to do damage. That is exactly what they did. Here’s Arie on that trio in overtime. Well, they have that. They’re pretty cohesive out there. They know um they kind of read each read each other, read off of each other, excuse me. Um that crisscross is sort of scissoring that they do when they cross that the ozone. Uh it puts defenders on their heels and it usually opens up somebody. Um, and that was kind of what happened there tonight. What was your biggest takeaway from the 10 game block? Uh, I’m happy with seven and three. I don’t ever want to be uh, you know, sort of, you know, talked down on it being seven and three, but I I we still haven’t come close to playing our complete game yet. Um, there’s been, you know, obviously lots of new guys that have been mixed in and and there’s growth there. There’s the signs that of things that we’re doing better. Um, but it’s sometimes it’s two steps forward, one step back. But it’s early in the year and if we’re going to do it, do it now. Kind of get it out of the way. But I like the fact that even though we haven’t played our best hockey, we’re still sitting at seven and three. And would the PK be one of the notes developments? Yep. No, very good call for sure. Our, you know, our power plays continue to be strong um to help us, you know, win hockey games, stay in hockey games. Our PK obviously is has been really good and it’s helped us a ton and it’s tough to give that one up as we did in the third, but at the end of the day, it’s given us a chance to stay in hockey games and that’s what you need. There’s uh there’s head coach Scott Arneal and guys, you know, Arie, uh Connor, I’ll put this to you. I you talked about this on the post game. I mean, there there’s somewhat of a level of frustration that gets glossed over a little bit when you win uh and you get the two points. That’s obviously what they went through. Uh, and you know, you like the seven and three record as the coach just said, but it it’s very clear. I mean, there’s another weight class of teams out there that they’re going to be playing. Um, and there’s very clearly another level that this team has in their bag that they haven’t got to consistently enough that the coach is looking for, which also includes working around a few of these lines to see if they can get a little bit more outside of Shley and Connor who offensively have really been carrying the team. for sure and and list last night on the post game had a take that I agreed with. This is that last night’s game was more of what I thought the Winnipeg Jets would look like without Samberg Lowry and Perfetti. You know, going on the road against a divisional opponent. Your top players were going to have to be great. You’d have to maybe get some secondary scoring with Nomesticov and Neita Rider chipping in a little bit. Helluck would have to be brilliant. Of course, we haven’t even mentioned him yet. He was fantastic in that game. Um, and yeah, this is, you know, Scarter Neils talked about second periods. When he said that after the Utah game, I was kind of shocked that he brought that up. The Utah game come the the second period was 2-2. The game before that, the Jets scored four goals in the second period against Calgary and ultimately won that game 5 to3. The game before that against Seattle, uh they got shelled in the second period. Seattle took a one- nothing lead and ended up winning that game. So maybe it extends back that far, but there’s absolutely things that the Winnipeg Jets need to clean up. There are things that will get cleaned up just by, you know, adding Lowry, Samberg, and Perfetti back into the lineup, but the steps that they’ve taken and gone seven and three in this first 10game block, I think is impressive. I mean, the top players have carried, but the penalty kill has been so elite. Morgan Baron looks like a new player this year down the middle, worthy of a promotion. There are things to to absolutely celebrate in this 10game block, and being seven and three without those three players is absolutely at the top of the list. Kyle Connor was the overtime hero last night. Uh Remo, let’s fire up number five. This is uh Kyle Connor on the win in mini last night. One team gets possession and overtime it’s, you know, you almost got to be patient. You don’t want to open something up. You know, a good gap and I thought we did that. We kind of pressured when it was loose puck there in the zone and got it turned around. got some speed and great entry to J Mo and Shy and I just found some quiet ice and um you know trying to get it to a screen saw a little hole on the far side. Uh what do you think the way that you guys responded after falling behind? Yeah, it was great. Um you know obviously bit of a tough building once you get going. Um you know we were on our heels a bit there in the second. Um that being said tied game in the third. Um you know down one still fought with it you know stick to the game plan. um played simple to the neutral zone like that game-winning goal. A little bit of a rush there, but just getting to the net. A lot of our goals just, you know, tip pucks and um being in around the net, you know, finding loose loose pucks and shooting for sticks and um you know, just yeah, just keep it simple to do. So, I thought we did a good job. Kyle Connor and not rem I was just I was thinking earlier, you know, with the start that Kyle Connor has had, can you imagine the noise around this team if they hadn’t gotten that contract extension done when they did and we’re sitting here watching him score game after game uh knowing that they still needed to get something done. I mean, uh, I I I I’ve been thankful for a number of things so far this season, but getting that contract done and just being able to know that this guy is a Winnipeg Jet long term and not having to deal with it, huge win for the team. Uh, although it certainly would have given us a lot to talk about every day. Yeah. Uh, nice to have that in the rear view mirror. And you look at the Jets scoring leaders right now. Mark Schiffley, 15 points in 10 games. Pretty good. Kyle Connor also pretty good 12 and 10. Valardi 8 and 10. That top line locked up for the upcoming years. And yeah, to have that in the rearview mirror, you can just concentrate on playing hockey. Uh exceptional uh for the Jets and the future of the team. So uh yeah as they say as yesterday’s price is not today’s price and you have to imagine that it would be going up uh you know what by the day here as you see you know you see a lot of the other you know free agent sign too so the pool of available players in the offseason shrinking uh the demand going up supply as I said supply lower which means the price would be going up too so uh nicely done by the Jets to have that one locked up shout out to you for managing to mix in a push a tea lyric into today’s episode of Winnipeg Sports Talk. That’s some expert work. Hey, listen. Uh, just before we wrap this up, one more from Connor. We’ve been talking about the second periods. Arie spoke about it afterwards. Here’s what Connor had to say about kind of laying off it a little bit recently in the second frame. We’ll see. Uh, we just got to, you know, stick together for a full 60. Um, you know, trim down on the the ping minutes. seems like we’ve uh you know tooken too many here in the last last couple games here and you know that’s even if they don’t score a penalty kill has been great but it generates momentum for the other team and um you know kind of sitting back in your heels and and uh so you know that that could be one thing um you know being a little disciplined um also just you know being mature group and you know not trying to open it up sometimes we get stuck on the changes as well um you know in the second period and we just got to change better just just smart things that add up to you know overall playing a smarter What do you think the way you guys regrouped after not really liking the effort on Sunday or the complete effort? Um, yeah, it’s, you know, it’s a resilient group here and, um, we’ve shown parts of, I think, every game this season of what this team could be and, um, you know, stuck with it and we just, we found a way to win. All right, there’s Kyle Connor and uh, you know, we were going to have Scooch jump in right away. It sounds like Ken’s flight’s getting uh changed a little bit. So, we’re going to get Ken in a little bit earlier before. But, uh I I mean guys or Connor, I’ll throw this at you. I mean, the second period I there’s no real rhyme or reason behind it. And you know, we were looking if you were watching the game last night, they were showing what the Jets have done in the first period and how stingy that they’ve been. I mean, I do think it is a little bit of an anomaly. And again, we’re working with the 10 game sample, which you know is a little different. If you go through five games like this after game 50, it won’t show up as much in the numbers, but um you know, it it it’s clear they kind of have gone off of it a little bit. And I mean, the guys can say whatever they want. It’s just a matter of, you know, being able to, you know, maintain your level of momentum and commitment to everything. Like there’s a couple times where Arie’s been pretty critical of the team, you know, maybe not having that same work ethic or level at that second period. And, you know, I mean, that’s just something that teams sort of go through right now, but it’s it’s certainly something that coaches on to and the players are going to have to be too. And this is, you know, just one of those things that you work out over an 82 game regular season hust so that when the playoffs come around, the Jets aren’t getting shelled in the second period. But Kyle Connor brought something up in his answer there, the penalties. That to me is honestly a bigger concern or of equal concern as the second periods. Um the Jets tie the game up 3-3 last night. Nino need Ryder gets the goal. The Jets are really pushing in that third period. I thought they were the better team in that third period after the Wild made it 3-2. And then with five and a half minutes left, Tanner Pearson takes a tripping penalty. That could have been the game right there. And the Jets, they don’t have to apologize for anyone. They have a penalty kill that’s clicking along at an elite rate. They have the best goalender on the planet. Those things are, you know, the main reasons why they’re seven and three right now is their goalender and their penalty kill being up over 90%. But a game like last night, you’re playing with fire taking all of these penalties they took for the Minnesota Wild only took one. I don’t know about you, Hus, but to me, that’s honestly a bigger concern. Even when Lowry, Samberg, and Perfetti come back, the Jets need to cut down on the penalties. Their penalty kill has been awesome and bailed them out a ton, but that’s not a sustainable way to win. Constantly losing the penalty differential. Um, and Connor Hellbuck’s been great in keeping that average up, but that’s something they’ll have to cut down going forward. Yeah, Remo, I mean, listen, I mean, at some point, you know, much like, you know, talking about the Bomber success over the past five years, you kind of get spoiled with a certain level of excellence. Um, we can’t talk about the success of the power play without talking about the level that Connor Halabuk has started this season at pretty much picking up where he left off, picking up a VZA and a heart trophy last year. I thought there was no way uh you know Connor Hobbuk would be able to replicate the season he had last year where he won the VZNA won the heart trophy and like could he win you know what a fourth Vzna. Is that possible? Well, I’m looking at money puck goal save above expected. Oh, there’s Connor Halobuk ranking fourth in the league at 8.7 goals uh saved above expected. just doing what uh he’s been doing uh you know throughout his career being the top goalie in the NHL and it’s the one part of the Jets set it and forget it. You know exactly what you’re going to get and he has been absolutely excellent this season. You want to look at save percentage uh fifth in the league at 926 and goals against average. Uh well what is he? He’s got 226 goals against average. You know, there’s a bunch of guys in the age who’ve had one or two starts who are on there, so I’d have to do some adjusting, but I mean, pretty pretty damn good stuff here from Connor Hellbuck. Yeah, no doubt about it. Here’s one more from Kyle Connor. And you know, Arie talked about the seven and three start to the season. Here’s what Kyle had to say about the first 10game segment. Shout out our pal Rick Ralph. I think we’re still still growing as a team. Um, I think we got to work on our consistency a bit. Um that being said, uh we’ve shown spurts of I think the identity of the team, but it’s it’s definitely a work in progress and um you know, everybody’s motivated in here to you know, get better and um push each other and um I would just say, yeah, it’s we’re kind of building identity. We’re still working on it. All right, so there’s Kyle Connor. He uh the hero last night in overtime. Uh, we’ll get into more of this with Ken Weeb who is in St. Paul last night. What’s it called? The Grand Casino Arena now. I think I’ll be calling it XL for at least the next two years uh before I remember the new name change. Um, Connor, great stuff as always. Um, thanks again for jumping on and I know you’ll be down at the Morning Skate tomorrow. We’ll have uh more a morning skate report. We’ll have updated Clean Line lines for tomorrow’s game. And just before uh you leave, thoughts on uh the Hawks coming into tomorrow night after uh lighting up the Sens who had been a bit of an offensive juggernaut themselves. As Reis mentioned, Baddard’s first career NHL hattick yesterday. And uh this Hawks team for the first time in a number of years has some juice. Not to mention, of course, the uh Jonathan Tave story going up against his longtime team for the first time. Right. Of course, the Jonathan Tave story is at the forefront. But yeah, Hus, you look at the start of the regular season or when the schedule came out and you see, oh, a two-game home set against Chicago and Pittsburgh, that’s going to be two wins. Well, Chicago’s 53 and2. They’re eighth in the Western Conference right now. Connor Bard just had a hat-tick last night. They put up seven goals on Ottawa. And then the Pittsburgh Penguins coming in on Saturday. They’re 72-2, second best record in the East to start the season. So, these next two games by no means are a pushover. Um maybe the Winnipeg Jets will get their captain back in these next two games. We’ll be at the rink looking for that. Um but yeah, big weekend ahead with some postgame. Sunday live, Jay’s tonight, Treya Savage, Jay’s Friday, maybe Jay’s Saturday with game seven. Um really looking forward and then the Bombers Saturday. I mean, we haven’t even mentioned the Bombers quite yet on today’s program, but a big Bomber game as they try and go through the East to the Gay Cup. So great time of the year for Sports and I’m fired up for this weekend. Right on. Well, thanks for jumping on. Always fun to uh go at it. the three of us and uh we’ll look forward to catching up tomorrow with a uh teeing up of tomorrow’s game down at Canada Life Center between the Jets and the Chicago Blackhawks. All right, let’s uh welcome in Ken Weeb, the international man of mystery from another lounge somewhere. Are you in the Twin Cities, Ken? or and and I guess the other question is, is your flight to Winnipeg or is it to Toronto? Uh Toronto via Winnipeg. Andrew, great to be with you. Uh Minneapolis Delta Lounge uh in full force here. Sorry, not a not a prettier backdrop. Uh could not find a seat with the scenic background, but looks pretty good. We see the coffee machines behind a little spread, you know, where you and all the Bobby Big Wheels that have lounge access are able to pop in and chill. Yeah. No. Uh, life is good, Hus. Uh, we’ll be headed to Toronto for game six. Pretty fired up about that now that we know there is one. Uh, hopefully get a little greedy here with Treya Savage and maybe uh we know it’ll be an elimination game for someone. Um, just hoping that maybe the Jays have a chance to to wrap it up. What was your experience like? I know you didn’t get uh Well, not a lot of hits, but man, Yamamoto, what what a display you saw, dude. I was just about to say, I mean, going for game six, I I said after watching what Yamamoto did to them in game number two that they need two in LA because, you know, while you have an opportunity and that’s why they play the games, Yamamoto is just pitching at such a level that it is uh it’s going to be really tough to beat him. I mean, he looks like prime scoo Garrick Crochet right now. I am against the best in a He’s gone backto back complete games. Haven’t even been able to get to the Dodger bullpen. So, it is going to be going to be straight. But here you have it, Ken. There it is. There it is. Watch it all. I’ve got a few of those. World of This one now has the World Series on it. So, you get that one. Yes, sir. To go along with your DS and your CS action, but uh it was great. Were you able to I mean, I know you were working last night, so you probably were supposed to be watching the hockey game. How how’s the multitasking in the press box right now in the midst of uh you know the the bread winner in you along with DJ’s fan because I can tell you just for fans it’s been very difficult to keep up with it all. Yeah, I I do have to say it was easy for me to watch the Jets game last night as my uh my feed wasn’t working. So I was listening to the radio radio broadcast in my ear. Schulman and Laroo took me home and uh enjoyed watching the entire Jays or Jets game there. So I did get all the highlights B. I mean the beauty of the technology now is that uh you know I had a few texts about the Vlatty home run. I could see it within minutes and uh saw the rest of the highlights after the game. But yeah, listened listening in one ear. Uh former Moose uh rugged forward and defenseman Wade Brookbank a couple seats over from me. He had some good multitasking at the game going. So uh we had the updates flowing. uh occasionally got a glimpse of his screen. Uh but overall watched that hockey game and uh you know enjoyed the rest of the talking in my ear. It was it was very multi Paul Edmonds above me. So uh I got there’s a lot of you know a lot of voices coming on. I’ve got a I’ve got my iPod in one ear. I’ve got Edmonds in the other. Um I’ve got the Jets in front of me. It’s it’s a beautiful time to be alive as they say. Well, listen, Dan Schulman, Paul Edmonds, you got two elite playby-play voices uh getting into your dome and uh listen, what a win last night. I have to ask you just a logistics question. Sure. I knew you had to go out. When When did you fly to Minneapolis for the It was early enough. Yeah. No worries there. So, this is I I had a long Did you go the day of the game? I had a long day. So, I was uh a day before the game, but I had I had a 8:00 flight. So, I had a 5:30 wake up 8:00. Uh, got some writing done on the plane and when I got there, quick nap and then got all 18 innings. Yes, it was. Okay. See, my question was I thought you might miss anything. I thought you might have like the 6 a.m. flight. No, got to get there the day before, h just to be make sure we don’t have any issues, but uh yeah, it was a it was a long one. Uh, I’m pretty sure so early dinner at uh at a great spot downtown Barlagrassa uh back at the hotel and uh I’m pretty sure that I said to the people in my life that were asking I don’t know that I sat down in my I was just watching in my room. I don’t know that I sat down between the 7th and the 18th innings. So, it was a bit it was a bit ridiculous, but uh yeah, high tension and uh obviously incredibly difficult and uh disappointing ending for Jay’s fans. But, I mean, honestly, Hus, I mean, if you’re a fan of the game, doesn’t matter who you’re rooting for, uh that’s instant classic material. Uh you know, one of the the craziest things you’ll see with nine uh times on base for Otani, including four extra base hits. Um, yeah, just incredible. You feel for Brendan Little, uh, Hus. I mean, he’s not as great. He’s not out to asked to go out two innings very often. You think he’s going to be able to wash away the disappointment and then that happens, you know, walk-off central from Freddy uh Freddy World Series man there. But, uh, yeah, I mean, it’s not just one, you know, obviously that’s the play that gets the recognition cuz it’s a walk-off homer. Uh Jets or Jays had ample opportunities to put that game away. Uh you know, one of their most reliable people in leverage, gave up a home run when he was supposed to be pitching around Show Otani. Uh you know, sometimes the fast ball just goes middle middle. Whether you’re Sir Anthony Dominguez, um or you’re Brendan Little. So, or or your Show Otani. I mean, again, this is a guy who is doing things we have not seen ever. Um and he hung a sweeper and just like that Vlatty knocks it over the fence and it’s a new ball game. I mean um it’s just a wild wild scene. You know, guys are getting, you know, seven eight nine playoff appear or played appearances. Um everyone’s trying to hit the ball out of the yard. You got the Fresh Prince of Belair pimping a deep fly ball to center field. That’s that’s got warning track power. Uh you know, Tay Oscar almost ends it. Jay’s ample opportunity guys getting thrown out all over the bases. Um overturned calls show oversliding the bag. Uh again just alltime I mean love to watch that game but you know the casual fan hus is unaware of this uh cockroach mentality that the Blue Jays play with. Uh everyone’s like oh man that’s that’s the worst loss you could ever have. How could they ever recover? And I’m like have you been watching the Jays this season? Right. I mean, this is what they do. They they pick themselves off the mat uh when it looks like they’re down and out in Beverly Hills or in this in this case, Chavez Ravine and find a way to get it even. Now, as as my podcast partner so eloquently told me, uh if they don’t blow the game in game three, they have the Dodgers on the ropes and now have, you know, three more chances to knock them out rather than the current situation. But again, I’ve got a hard time if I had told you calling I’ve got a hard time calling them blowing the game in game three. I mean, that was multiple leads though, Hus. Multiple leads and that was something you weren’t necessarily expecting, I think, is more the point. But, uh, yeah, I just mean like that’s that’s a missed opportunity that you think you maybe can’t uh bounce back from. Much like we thought, oh my god, what a terrible missed opportunity in Seattle in game five, right? So, or whatever it was, four or five. I’ve I’ve lost track. There’s there’s too many things going on. As I said before, too many voices bouncing around this skull of mine, Andrew. But, uh, yeah, just incredibly fun to watch. Um, you know, worst to first. Like, it’s just crazy. Like, if I had, and this is what I said to Sean, I mean, if I told you at the start of the year the Jays would have an opportunity to be 2-2 with the defending World Series champions and heading into a best of three, they would have taken it every time. I mean, this team was dead last in the AL East last year. So, well, I I was saying a similar sort of thing in a micro level in game uh game uh three. I mean, texting with Jake and Pat who were just like living and dying with every pitch in this, I’m like, “Guys, chill out here. If I had told you that Otani would go four for four with two doubles and two home runs, but I said you were in extra innings, would you take it?” Yeah. They said, “Damn straight we would.” And uh listen, the resiliency of this team was on full display last night. And once again, you know, it was, you know, a guy that had a quieter start compared to the lofty levels he had in the first two series or the first series. Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s performance and a homer last night. Exactly what a depleted team without George Springer in the lineup and a hobbled Bob Bashette um got them going. And then it was the guys at the bottom of the lineup, Ernie Clement, Jimenez. I mean, those hits and contributions at the bottom of the lineup. was the difference in the Seattle series in my opinion and certainly was a big part of last night. Just before we get to Bargers that sort of infield single there as well. Listen, Barger I mean listen, he had the grand slam. He’s sort of one of the top guys. Quick thought on tonight. I mean they’ve beaten uh the Dodgers on a Blake start already once. And like I said before, I really think the Jays have to have this one. If they’ve got two cracks at them at home and they’ve got a good chance of winning, I’ll be freaked out if they have to beat Yamamoto in game number six if they don’t get the job done tonight. Yeah, totally fair, Hust. And uh speaking of Barger, how about that seed that he threw to the plate? That just just as a as an outfielder, uh I just love that. And the texts are just blasting in like it just was an unbelievable reminded yourself back with the Altona Royals back in the day. It’s bison’s but I wish my arm was that strong hus but uh fun to watch. Yeah, for sure. I agree. I mean it it’s not obviously we we overuse the term must win a lot in sports. It’s probably in the got to have it kind of category. Not impossible given how well the Jays have played to win two and needing to. Uh but you’re asking a lot to you know two have beaten Yamamoto you know two games after you beat Otani who uh you know has been almost unhitable in these playoffs as well. I’m encouraged by the way they battled against Snell uh in the first in the first outing. So I mean I do think that they’ll have a good plan against them. Uh but again it’s a grind and no easy outs uh in that Dodger lineup. I guess no I guess you could argue PZ might be an easy out uh with the batting average. sub 100, but he’s also the kind of guy that could step on a home run. I mean, that’s the other part of it. It’s like the Yankees. They got all these guys hitting in the bottom of the order that had 20 plus jacks. So, uh yeah, I mean I think this is I think you Savage is is well positioned and hey, and people are making a big deal out of this road start husk. Dodger Stadium is one of the most pitcher friendly ballparks in the league. So, uh I think it’s actually set up quite well for Trey. Uh the moment has not been too big for him so far. Uh we know that Otani has been able to hit the split over the course of his career, but I think Yavage has a special outing again and the bullpen’s pretty rested at least in terms of the leverage arms. Hoffman needed a break after through 33 the other night. So I think they’re well positioned. If if if you Savage can get them six innings, I I think they’re in a good spot to to go home with the lead. And just quickly, I said this was the last one, but um you know, you mentioned saving um saving Hoffman last night. Yeah. which was fortunate. Um, Basset has been lights out in the last two nights. He hadn’t pitched backtoback games since 2012 in a single high. Uh, and I think they would have been fine to throw him out and give him the very rare three inning save. One of the only things we haven’t seen in this series. Yeah. On the bingo card, it’s pretty pretty empty. But the fact of the matter is I I think it showed like he’s been so good they want to potentially have him for tonight, game six and game seven and allowed Louis Varin. But I mean Bassett’s performance amongst a number of other relievers but especially him just cuz I think it was relatively unexpected um a a huge part and the bottom line is the bullpen right now is a strength for the Blue Jays as opposed to the Dodgers. I mean, in between the starters and Sasaki, that is the one hole. And listen, if they can have some good long at bats and get Blake Snell out of the game in five or in six innings, that’ll go a long way to get this one done tonight. So, uh, bring it on. Game five are just incredible. What a what a showing. Hadn’t started since August. So, just a crazy outing. Huge part of the Jay success earlier on in the season. really was that sort of forgotten guy and he went in with one of the most clutch performances you’ll see in a long time. Speaking of clutch performances, it wasn’t pretty, but uh Nino Netheriter/ Gustav Nyquist combined to tie the game up and then a little bit of OT magic for Kyle Connor afterwards. Um a big two points. It’s their ninth straight win against Minnesota. A big two points in the division as well. Uh, but this I Oh, I’ll ask you because you were there asking the questions for a win. Scott Arneal still seemed to have some uh some frustrations over some of the things that took place over the course of 60 plus minutes, but as he said afterwards, you love the win and you love the seven and three record through 10. Yeah, no doubt. us and uh you know that was that was a little bit of the Randy Carile/ Ela Vinho coming through the whole uh you know don’t criticize a win or you know a record that is that is rocking a 700 win percentage. Uh but yeah I mean I think that it’s fair to say that the Jets are happy with the record but not necessarily happy how they got to that record. Uh you know there’s all kinds of things at play here. for us. Uh I do think and again Wilder missing Zukarelloo big time up front. Certainly you can see it with Capri off even though he’s getting some points. He’s just not as dominant as we’re used to seeing him. Um let’s just put it this way. Part of the reason the Jets are seven and three and have struggled defensively at times is that they’re missing, you know, two of their most exceptional defensive players and Adam Lowry and Dylan Samberg. And Cole Perfetti is someone that is, you know, very alert defensively, smart player, and was someone they were counting on to level up and really really try to minimize the the impact of the departure. We knew there was going to be an impact with Eers leaving us. But we thought that if Perfetti was taking that next step, the drop off would not be as significant and you haven’t had Perfeetti in the lineup yet. So, uh, all those things considered, you know, they they’re looking for, you know, they had a spin cycle on the middle six of the of their lines. They came through with two big goals yesterday, including the the tire, as you mentioned. What did you just quickly on those lines? I mean, uh, what did you think of the the the decision to move Vlad off? I think that’s really a precursor to the impending return of Adam Lowry. Um and of course Morgan Baron getting a look uh and some muchdeserved more ice time for a guy that has been so good in the middle uh playing with Nether Rider and Nikas who of course were the heroes on the tying goal. Yeah, big big time uh contribution there and I mean Sus you saw I mean I spoke with Gustav Nyquist in the morning and uh I think it was quite evident that that he wanted more from himself uh and it was you know not afraid to say it. um you know felt like the transition was coming but he wanted to produce more offense and that’s just a great example of stick tuitiveness. Hus uh you know fanned on the shot one is blocked but instead of kind of throwing your arms up in the air in frustration Nikico stayed with it on the play and then you know pushed the puck essentially over to the stick of Nino Netheriter who was in his office and you know again I I didn’t see if they changed it or not. It was almost both guys touched at the same time. I think Nether Writer ends up getting the credit, but either way, it’s just such a big contribution uh for a line that wanted to get themselves going. I’m with you. I think Nomesticov is going to be playing on the wing when Adam Lowry is back. Whether that’s on the second, third, or fourth line eventually, we don’t know yet. Uh but I like Nomesticov on the wing. Uh he can be an impactful player. You got kind of him with the dog on a bone and I a follow. I like that that pairing with Taves. Um, you know, the, you know, I love that Morgan Baron is getting more. We spoke about this, too. And, uh, again, Adam Lowry’s going to be playing center. We expect, uh, but when Scott Neil mentioned how tough the draws were on his hips, I wondered if there opened up a possibility that maybe Lowry eases back into the lineup on the wing. Uh, but again, we’ll see what’s happening. I know that uh, you know, Connor was mentioning maybe Lowry on the weekend. I I don’t see him being available this weekend. us. I do think he’ll be traveling with the Jets on that California swing. I don’t know when he’ll return, but I expect him to be back on that road trip. Uh Scottil again reiterating in the morning to me when I asked him about the potential for a conditioning assignment. That is still being discussed, but there’s a bunch of things at play. You know, he’s a non-roster IR player right now. Mooer taking, I think, Thursday and Friday off after being in Tucson. And then, uh, you know, they’ll only have the one practice Saturday before playing Sunday, Monday. I think there would be a chance that Lowry could play in that game Sunday for the Moose uh afternoon game against the Texas Stars. But again, lots of uh lots of logistical things that the Jets were sorting through. And again, Adam Lowry may want to just jump back into NHL action on that road trip, but you know, we’ll see what the weekend brings here. Um Kent, let’s be But I don’t expect to see him. I mean, Scotil did say when we were talking about domestic off when Lowry returns next week. So, I I think that’s sort of never, you know, things can change. We know Lowry’s eager and he was on this trip, but I I I don’t expect him to be in the lineup this weekend. Yeah, I’m sort of with you as well. I mean, the beginning of the next trip or at some point next week once the team hits the road after the Pittsburgh game, we’ll uh see how that all shakes out. You know, I I had to laugh when you mentioned that long California trip. I imagine that Dylan Samberg and Cole Profetti are doing everything they can to not only return to the lineup sooner, but be in the mix to potentially be with their teammates on that long stretch down in Cali away from the peg. Yeah, no doubt. I mean, if first and foremost, you want to be around your teammates. Uh, you know, a little vitamin D at this time of year never hurts. Uh, I think it’s a good bonding trip for the group and I do think that I mean I’m not 100% sure if they’ll be on it or not, but uh, you know, there won’t be a ton of practice. The only thing that would, you know, be an issue there is that there’s probably not a ton of practice time uh, during that swing. So, that might encourage them to be staying back home uh, and playing. But, you know, again, I won’t be, let’s just put it this way, I won’t be I won’t be surprised if they’re on the trip. Um, and yeah, not just cuz they’re hoping for a little better weather, but uh I mean because Proffetti is ahead of schedule, uh, you know, obviously a next step for for those guys is to get them back in in practice action. And, you know, for Lowry, it’ll be contact that’s required. So, yeah, I mean, I won’t be surprised if they’re on the trip, but again, it’s not a guarantee except for Lowry. I expect it’s a guarantee that he’ll be on that trip at least at some point. Yeah, no doubt. Uh, Ken Weeb with us from the Winnipeg Free Press was in the building last night. Uh just quickly, and I just like bringing this up because I love talking about it. Nine wins in a row for the Jets against the Minnesota Wild. Yeah, Hus, it’s uh it’s a it’s a far cry from the leaking gravy days of the Thanksgiving massacre um of of a few years back. So, um that’s just for context purposes that I I Yeah. Hey, celebrate all the wins all you like, especially nine against a division rival, but we’re not that far removed from uh from that beatd down. And I think there were two consecutive beatdowns on Thanksgivings if I’m if I’m not mistaken here. So, uh yeah, I mean the beauty of the rivalry is this, Hus. As much disdain as there is maybe on the player side, um I mean and you’ve been in the buildings, Hus, it’s great atmosphere in both places, whether we’re going to call it the X Forever uh or Grand Casino or whatever they want to be calling it. Uh we know Winnipeggers love to go to Minneapolis to travel. Uh we know motans love to come to Canada to watch games. Uh we know there’s a lot of shared Vikings experiences between both of those fan bases. So uh although there’s there’s lots of feistiness on the ice, um I mean fan bases like they treat each other with a lot of respect and uh there’s some goodnatured back and forths between them, but right now it’s pretty one-sided. When one team wins nine in a row, it’s tough for the other side of the fan base to give them much grief. And honestly, going back to what you were talking about with Remo Hus, uh I without without Connor Helabuk, I don’t think these two teams are that dissimilar in terms of how they’ve played at the start of the year. Um having Hleabuk is a massive and and comry played great in his two starts. But when the guy who won the hard trophy and is a three-time VZNA winner is rocking the numbers that he’s rocking, it has clearly covered up some of the defensive deficiencies that have been on display as the, you know, we were talking about on the show last night on Kenny and Renie. There’s been an erosion of the, you know, standard in terms of how well the Jets have been able to defend and that’s something that they’re going to want to be, you know, attacking. And hus I know where you stand on the Connor Hellbuck, you know, games played issue. This is deeper than games played. He’s been way busier and facing way more volume and quality in this first 10game block than what we were used to seeing in the last two years uh when the Jets won the Jennings. So that’s something that you want to get cleaned up for the long term. Uh because whether it’s 55 starts or 67 starts u the starts have been more taxing for Hellob in this first 10game block. Kenny. Um, what uh I mean I know you were probably talking to Michael Russo and some of the people we had Jesse on the show yesterday who kind of talked about some of the struggles of the Wild like what’s the word what’s the word on the street in the Twin Cities about the early season struggles like like the record right now that that’s not going to cut it. I mean, you continue at that pace for another 10 or 15 games and all of a sudden you’re at US Thanksgiving and you’re realizing that uh you got a number of teams to pass and a long way to go to be a playoff team. Yeah, just they don’t have enough depth right now. Um you know, looking at the fourth line and you know, the third D pairing, obviously Zeve William is is going to be an exceptional offensive talent, but uh Urac is has just had some you know, he’s showing the signs on the flashiness on the offensive side. Um, but he’s in Villy Han territory, Hus right now. I cannot draw a clearer comparison. You know, Juris can have a great game and then he has a pizza that ends up in the back of the net and then you’re wondering if he can be in the NHL as a regular for a team that’s going to be in the playoffs. So, that’s an issue for them. Uh, again, Capri off, you saw it with your own eyes how he got a goal, but he was not an impactful player in the game yesterday. At least not not the type of impact you’re expecting for 17 mil next year. A turnover in OT. This is what I mean. So, um, yeah, he’s not playing his best and he’s missing Zukarelloo. So, um, their defense core is, you know, Brock Faber was way better yesterday. He’s had a tough start to the year. Uh, you know, I love the energy that Marcus Felino plays with. I love Joel Erikson. I love the way that he plays. He’s one of the best two-way centers in the game. But H, even though Rossy’s on the board yesterday with two apples, they don’t have a first line center. And if you don’t have a first line center, uh, you’re not going anywhere. I mean, this is very simple. I mean, they’ve got strong wingers. Baldi’s really developing his game and taking another step. Uh, but they’re right now they’re not good enough. And, you know, Gustoson’s numbers aren’t good, Hus. But talking to the people who are around the Wild, goending hasn’t been an issue. I mean, you talked about it off the top. Kyle Connor has a very small window to bury that shot yesterday and he buries it. So, to me, that’s not a Gustiffson problem. That’s a that’s a team defense problem. you know, uh, you know, we, uh, you know, obviously seeing Kappers with the record contract that he signed a little earlier on. Um, I mentioned this to Re, but I’ll just get your take on it. Can you imagine the panic around this fan base if Kyle Connor was playing the way that he is playing right now and had not signed that contract to the beginning of the year? Well, yeah. I mean, it’s it’s totally fair. I mean, every every, you know, and every negotiation is different. Uh, you know, the flip side is he’s making the same uh, you know, same as Marner and and Ranton. And so, I mean, I think the the comparables are, you know, they’re I just mean if it wasn’t done like regardless of the number, who cares number if Kyle Connor was an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year and we, oh, they’re negotiating, but we’re not sure what’s going to happen. Oh, yeah. I mean, you want to talk about a different atmosphere story every single time any of those guys got in front of the media, that would be a little dark cloud hanging around the around the team. Well, I mean, that that just reinforces the importance of Kyle wanting to be there and the, you know, the culture that’s been created that, you know, pushed him to want to sign for, you know, again, you can argue whichever side of the coin you want, but I mean, below market compared to Capri off for sure. Uh and again us uh you know we can make all the jokes we want but with the KFC I mean that’s uh that’s one that that’s one extra crispy and one extra spicy for the 61st OT or 61st GWG of his career. And I mean let’s just put it this way. He’s not going to be ending at 61 or anything near that number. I mean that’s there are more to come from him and he doesn’t it’s just those three guys are poetry in motion when it comes to threeon-ree overtime hus it’s it’s just wild to see the way they create space for one another between Morrisy Shley and Kyle Connor you know all three of those guys touching the puck uh Kyle needs a split second it’s on the tape on the tape boom back of the net I mean it’s just it’s just wild wild to see and and again we’ve also seen us at four and four in the last couple of games various combinations of that’s helped the Jets kind of get moving in a few of those games as well. Uh Weber, excellent stuff as always. Uh before you leave us, your call for tonight Dodgers game five 4-2 Jays and again partially because I’m hoping that I can see a clinching game for the team that I, you know, watch every night. Uh and also just it just feels like it’s it’s their Jay’s time. I mean, Dodgers could bounce back and win in a blowout. I mean, we know that this is a possibility, but it just feels like the Jays are kind of destined to to make it happen. And I hope that I’m there to see it happen. I mean, I’ve already been blessed with a Springer dinger and, you know, a a Vlatty home home run and a you know, grand slam and whatever else I’ve seen already this uh this October, I do think the Jays are going to find a way to scratch one out today. And man, if if they win it in game six, uh boy, it would it’ll be let’s just put it this way, Hus. I’ll be very happy that I’m not hosting Kenny and Renie on Friday night if the Jays happen to win the World Series. Dude, think about But I’ll be back in time for for the Kenny and Renie after the Penguins game. Th Just think about for a minute. What an absolute circus. It is going to be downtown, dude. It’s Halloween night. I know. Yeah. I I mean it I’m just thinking of what what you’re in for. All I can say is let’s go. It’ll be good. Now, are we going to say like your Halloween costume is a Toronto Blue Jays fan or does the Big Jay book can you can you say I’m going to this game as a fan cheering for the Jays? Oh, buddy. All of your journalistic integrity of which you have plenty. Uh leaving that back in Winnipeg. Uh, I’ll be rooting and I hope that my voice is is accessible for Saturday’s Kenny and Renie. Yes. Yes, indeed. Well, and K&R will be finishing up or getting on board right after the Bombers play as well. It’s a crazy Saturday with the Bombers on at 1:00 and then the Jets starting at 2. Uh, think the Bombers can maybe shock a few people and uh make their way to the Hammer for the East final. I I was going to say uh when speaking of resilience Hus uh I I would think that this is sort of the Bombers I wouldn’t say it’s their MO but I I would say that sort of it’s reminiscent of the start of the run Hus to me we we’ve watched it we’ve watched the five Gay Cups we watched the you know the first two wins and three losses the Bombers have sort of reverted to you know not getting a ton of respect because they haven’t been at their peak in the last little while and again as you someone who watches from afar but still watches closely. I mean, no Nick Dempsey Demsky potentially, right? He missed today. He missed the last full workout. Um, you know, that’s a huge blow if he’s not there. He’s one of their most reliable weapons. Uh, Brady, the year has been a bit up and down for Brady on the O line, but Brady could be the guy that runs wild in this game on the weekend. and Hus quite frankly, Zack Caller’s Hall of Fame career, he needs to have a an impact in this game. There have been a a couple of instances where Zach has given it his all. You know, he’s been hurt, played through injury, but his efficiency in some of the grandest stage games of late has not been at an elite level. He has the ability to be an elite player and an impact player and quite frankly Husky’s going to have to be one if the Bombers want to advance and make their way back into a great cup that is going to be played in their home stadium. Cannot wait. Uh listen, have a great time in uh in to uh on Friday night. It was uh I mean you’re in for I mean you’ve been I mean the playoffs the craziness but it’s going to be uh it’s going to be next level for you my friend in uh in the Rogers Center and uh who knows who else will be there. Stranger things have happened. Exactly. And and I’m happy I I’ve had a ridiculous fall hus I’m happy to replace what’s on the number one of the charts with something new on Friday night. Let’s just put it that way. You know what? Uh listen, thanks for doing this. travel safely back home. We’ll see you at the rink tomorrow and uh looking forward to talking to you about your experience at the World Series as well. Be well, pal. Yeah, thanks my friend. And uh folks, uh pick up your edition of the free press tomorrow. Had a great chat with Jonathan Taves uh at the Morning Skate yesterday about facing the Blackhawks for the first time. So, uh really good conversation and looking forward to writing that one up here in the next couple hours. Oh, you think there’ll be any interest in Taves playing the Blackhawks for the first time in his return? I I I imagine like do you think that there’ll be a significant increase in the amount of Chicago media that are in the peg for tomorrow’s game? Uh I’m expecting I mean again I think that they’ve got a couple folks that travel regularly. I do think Mark Lazarus will be here as well. So yeah, I mean I do think that it’s something that is going to attract some attention. I think I I think it’s the return game for for the Chicago folks that will maybe attract a little bit more attention. But I do think that it’s obviously a big moment for, you know, around the league. It’s not just a big moment in our market and Chicago. I think it’s another moment people are tuning in on. Yeah. Well, that Monday in January where the Jets go to Chicago is going to be uh that that might be a night that might be good to plan a little roadie around and head on down to be in the Windy City for that one. Weber, all the best, pal. Take it easy. Thanks for doing this. Have a great weekend, my friend, and enjoy the game tonight. All right, good stuff. There is Ken Weeb. Well, tomorrow we’ll get after it. Of course, Connor will be down at the morning skate. Um, and uh, we’ll see the way the lines look like. Our clean line lines could be the same as yesterday’s game. Maybe we’ll see another change from coach Scott O’Reill as he tries to get that right mix in advance of Adam Lowry’s return. And beyond that, Cole Petti and of course Dylan Samberg on the blue line. One thing I can guarantee is that uh if you need plumbing services in the Winnipeg area, you can lean on like the captain does the experts at Clean Line Plumbing, Heating, and Electrical, the leaders in the industry, proudly founded and locally owned for 40 years in business. Bringing the heat and captain approved by the one and only Adam Lowry. Uh tonight gang, first pitch just after 7:00. I urge you, if you’ve been watching these games at home by yourself, holler at a couple of your friends and get out to your local Boston Pizza Lounge and take in the excitement of the World Series in public in a group at BP. Um, listen, you can jump on the flight deck menus with the wing flights and the pizza flights and the new fry flights. Um, but it’s about the atmosphere at the Boston pizzas that make it the next best thing to being at the game. And not to mention those ice cold schooners, world famous BP wings and pizzas make it as well. Uh, tonight game five, your local Boston pizza make it happen tomorrow. NFL football, Winnipeg Jets hockey, Blue Jays on the weekend. Now’s a great time to be a BP for all the great sports action. I hit this up right off the bat. Connor was wearing it after I mentioned yesterday on the program, but the World Series Jay’s hats are in at Royal Sports. Um, it got delayed. They got a bunch in though. So, if you are desperately looking to get your hands on a Blue Jays hat with the World Series patch, uh, do not wait. Get down to Royal Sports. They are going incredibly fast. Obviously an amazing gift um option for the upcoming holidays, but you might want to get it on for uh game six and seven, hell, game five tonight as the Jays look to win their first championship since 1993. Uh full array of Jay’s gear. They had the blue hats, the white panel one that Connor has, and a couple others. All with the World Series patch right now at your Blue Jays headquarters, Royal Sports, 750 PMA Highway. And again, you can follow them on Instagram at Royal Sports Winnipeg. You can see the hats that are there right now up on the Instagram uh log, but don’t wait on these because they are going fast. The demand for Blue Jays gear coast to coast, but right here in Winnipeg has been unprecedented. The stock is in, so get it before it is gone. All right, Scooch is going to jump on with us in just one minute. Uh before we do that, let’s give a big cheers to the Jay’s and to our friends at Winnipeg’s favorite local brewery, Little Brown Jug. You train day in and day out, learning new techniques, approaching new concepts, and living out the thrill of achieving your goals, building craft beer is no different. While you spend your hours on the ice, we spend ours here, brewing our trademark beer again, again, and again. Here’s to pushing the status quo and challenging ourselves to build something memorable. 1919 by Little Brown Jug. All right, let’s head out east and welcome in our pal Jocui, longtime sports director of Global here in Winnipeg and a guy that’s following the Jets, following the CFL and the Blue Jays I saw as well. Scooch, what was it like being down at the dome for taking in the World Series? I I have been there for every game, every home game of this playoff run. I’m doing some uh work through Dome for for the Fox TV telecast. Uh, basically, it’s not exciting work, but I’m basically helping the guy who does the bug and telling them, you know, what base the runners are on and if they’re moving from second to third or if they’re going from third to home and, you know, helping with the scoring decisions when they’re announced by the official score and passing that information on. What a gig. I know. I know. There’s my World Series pass. That is just I’m shocked that you didn’t call me when you came to Toronto. I I’m upset you came to my town and you didn’t call. Joe, if I could tell you the schedule that I had to get to that game, you would be like we at a hockey game on Friday night. The decision to to to go was made at about 1 in the morning on Friday, like from Thursday. It was a 500 a.m. flight. So essentially went from the game out. Ripped back to my place, had a shower, grabbed my bag, straight to the airport. We got in at about 9 in the morning or so, went to the hotel, had to wait for a while to check in, shut it down for about an hour and a half, and then went out, hooked up with some friends, went to the game, turned it around, and we’re out. It was uh it was a whirlwind, but man, it was fun to be around there. And just thinking about the scene, Halloween night, game six, downtown Toronto. I mean, our pal Gabe Barensky said this is going to be an absolute circus and it will be. But, uh, tell you what, the the stakes and what is to come, I think, completely changed with the way that that team bounced back. The resilience of the show to win game four after the disappointment of that epic 18 inning marathon game three. They’ve been doing it all year long. Kenny referred to them as the a cockroach mentality, which I thought was perfect. And uh listen, they’re right in this against a team that is an all-star team of all-star teams, maybe the most star-studded team in all of North American sports. And they are right there. And you consider that 18 inning game and the lineup that they had, you know, after they took out Bashette after spring, they took Barra, which is the one that shocked me the most. But that th those last nine innings, they didn’t really have anybody that could go up there and hit. I mean, it’s amazing that the Dodgers couldn’t get a run until the 18th inning. So, I think that’s a credit to the Blue Jays. And I like their mentality. They just flushed it. They’re only down one game, right? Came back the next night, got some key hits again. And Ernie Clement, I mean, I think he’s been just as valuable as Vlatty has. And now Bette when now that he’s back in and maybe maybe the injury to Springer was a blessing in some way because it gets Bett’s bat in there as the DH and he’s there from you know beginning to the end and you can see his effectiveness at the plate and he had a couple of key hits last night as well. Yeah. Well, we’ll all be tuning in tonight to see who has the lead coming back. But we do know you’ll be in the billing and the World Series is going to be determined at the dome this weekend on either Friday or Saturday in game six or potentially a Saturday night deciding game seven. Uh that’s not the only big playoff game though that’s happening this weekend in our country. Calgary BC and the Bombers heading out east. A very different route to the Gay Cup this year. Um, thoughts on the Bombers going into Montreal as underdogs, Joe, and what it’s going to take for the Bombers to maybe start a magical run uh that no team has ever made it to the Grey Cup through the crossover. Yeah, that’s true. Uh, but you know, I think, you know, I’m going to put my uh money a little bit on the Blue Bombers this weekend because usually Montreal has been a tough place for the the Bombers to win. But you look at uh this year’s game uh with Brady Olivivera doing, you know, most of the leg work and then that game last year where they clinched first place when the uh wind all of a sudden, you know, came out of nowhere and affected the Alowettes. That’s when we knew God was a bomber fan. Exactly. Or at least mother nature. So maybe, you know, maybe uh you know, Montreal is not a bad place. And the Bombers have been in this crossover game twice before, but both of those games were at home against Edmonton and against Saskatchewan. Then they lost both those games. So maybe being on the road is going to be good for them. I think it’s a a game that Zach Colleros uh personally feels and that’s my opinion that he has something to prove. You know, he obviously wasn’t too happy with the the performance of the team after that Edmonton game. Didn’t play of course last week against the Alowettes. I don’t think he’s been happy with his play, you know, for for this season. So, I think he has something to prove in this one. And so, I’m going with my heart. I’m going with the Bombers to beat the Alowettes. But I think what’s really been encouraging to me is the play of the defense. I mean, at the beginning of the season, I thought the defense was the weak link of the team. But in the last few weeks, it’s been the defense that has been the strength of this football club. Well, you know what? I I’m glad you brought that up. And actually, I’ll plug I spent, you know, an hour or so after the show yesterday on with Ed Tate on the Blue Bomber huddle, and we, you know, he was kind of asking me like my thoughts on the game and the path to victory for the Blue Bombers. And I lean on the defensive performance. of this team, especially in the second half of the year. I mean, it was a bit of a disaster about three, four games in. They were still trying new guys at the cornerback position, but man, they have gotten better and better throughout this year. And I still look back, I mean, listen, it’s been questions about the offense straight up. I thought the defense played well enough to win in Labor Day in Reginaina, in the Banjo Bowl, in that next game against Hamilton. Um, and they have been keeping this team in. And if we can get a version of the Bomber offense that looked anything like that game against the Thaiats in Winnipeg a few months ago or so, yes, this team can go toe-to-toe with anybody. Um, but I really do think I mean I’m looking at the weather right now for Montreal. And this is uh maybe this is a little bit more of Mother Nature being a uh being a little bit on the bomber side. A high of five, raining for two days going into the game and periods of rain that day. I mean, to me, Joe, a mucky defensive game where you’re leaning on running the football plays right into the Bombers hands. And that’s exactly what they’re going to need to do, I think, because this team will not win a shootout with the Montreal Alowettes. No. Uh, I mean, Davis Alexander, of course, didn’t play in the last game or the game in Montreal. Yeah. Neither of them this year. He is a he’s obviously a big factor. I would assume this I’m trying to think back to last year. This would be his first playoff game, right, of any consequence because uh Fardo started uh last year’s Eastern Final. So, uh he’s he’s kind of a question mark. It’s his first playoff game and he hasn’t shown any signs of nerves uh previous to this, but maybe there’ll be some nerves and maybe the weather and hopefully will be a factor in this. And if Brady Olivivera can be the difference like he has been so many times this season, I think it adds up to a blue bomber victory. You know, defensively, we talked how well they’ve played. I’d still like to see a few more blitzes because, you know, Montreal, they love to blitz. They love to, you know, bring up, you know, eight or nine guys at the line of scrimmage and you don’t know which guy is coming and then they drop back or they go they go and blitz. So, I I have always liked Montreal’s uh defensive schemes. Uh, but like I said, the last two times the Bombers have been in there, they’ve won, and that’s not a place that the the Bombers usually win is in Montreal. Well, they certainly owe Montreal a big playoff upset as well. Um, based on what happening in a certain Grey Cup uh a couple years back. Um, and and I do think, Joe, that I mean, let’s face it, this team has done a lot of winning. Uh, they’ve come up big in the playoffs before, the last three Gay Cups, notwithstanding. And there’s an element of kind of a last dance to this team. I mean, that’s been so successful and has gone to the last five gay cups through the West. You know, we’re not sure about what Zack Calleros’s future is going to be long term, although I know he does have that next next year of his deal. Obviously, Chris Streller, I mean, the brutal injury on the weekend and the tearful uh scenes in the post that he had, I mean, there’s a very good chance that that might be it for him. Um, like it there is an element of like do this one more time. And I will say this, the loss of Chris Trevor, we had Patty Newfeld on the program yesterday and this guy is such a beloved teammate and I think in some ways he can almost become a bit of an inspirational figure for this team. Not that they need any more motivation with their backs against the wall to win, but there is something about the the uh DNA of this Winnipeg Blue Bomber football team that does give me confidence that is inconsistent as they’ve been this season that they can muster up one of their best performances of the year on Saturday afternoon because frankly the bottom line is they’re going to have to if they want to have a chance of beating the Montreal Alowettes. Yes. And I I’m a Chris Treler fan. I’ve always wondered why they don’t give him more of an opportunity to do things with the offense. I, you know, and they’ve sort of limited, you know, his kind of role with the team. But I think what’s going to help is that, you know, it’s they’re not going to get into a situation of second down and four and then take Calleros out of the game and try to do two quarterback sneaks. I mean, I I just hate that uh that offensive scheming. And you know, I I blame Paul Lap police for bringing that into the CFL, you know, where it’s second down and one and then you bring in the backup quarterback just to plunge for one yard. I just think it’s it’s terrible offensive planning. It slows the game down, gives the defense time to regroup. And you know, the Bombers, you know, when they get down to the goal line, why would you want to take out Callos who got the team down there to put in the backup quarterback? It limits it limits so many of your options there. Like I mean listen, I get it why they do it on on short like one yard because it works pretty much all the time and that’s why you know it’s a copycat league. Pretty much all the teams do it. But the second and four stuff, I mean it it basically eliminates the threat of passing and uh you know what’s coming and more often than not defenses that are ready for what’s coming will be able to stop it so far. But listen, I you know, offensive line is going to be huge. The ability to get Brady going, keeping the football and moving the chains, I mean, I think the time of possession, like we’ll see the team that has the time of possession, I think we’ll have a very good chance of winning this football game. And for a dynamic Montreal offense, the ability to keep your defense fresh going out there is all going to play into the game. And again, very weird things happen in the CFL football playoffs, so why not the Bombers this week? thoughts on BC? Calgary? Uh, I like BC. I I’m actually thinking, uh, you know, cuz way my mind works. I’m thinking it’s going to be a sort of repeat of 2011 with the Bombers in BC in the Gay Cup. That Grey Cup was in Vancouver. This one will be in Winnipeg. And this will be a bit of a payback for the Blue Bombers. I think that they, you know, that’s I like BC. I like Nathan Ror, but he has a bit of that Zack Collaros in him, like he likes to he likes to throw the ball up when he shouldn’t be throwing the ball and, you know, he creates a lot of turnovers on his own. So, but I like BC. I want to see uh Nathan Ror in Winnipeg during the Gay Cup. I’d like to see him as the uh the MOP of the league and I’d like to see him say uh something again about the commissioner and all these proposed rule changes that are going to be coming into effect. I’d like to hear him again stand up for Canadian football. Well, he’ll have the opportunity opportunity to do that as the likely MOP of the league. The big question is whether he’ll have a game that weekend when he comes. I’m sort of with you. I do like BC in this game. And yes, hey, listen. I I would sign up for your scenario. Bombers, Lions. I I’ll take that right now if that’s on the table. That’s going to be my prediction. If the Bombers can make it through this game and and Hamilton, though, yeah, the uh Prairie Armageddon, as we were calling it, a potential bomber rider rematch of 2007, this time in Winnipeg, would would honestly take the great cup to to a whole another level. And hey, it’s possible. Right now, there’s only 16 teams on the other side of the bracket. So, let’s see what happens. Uh, Scooch, great to have you on the program. Many people in chat asking if you need an assistant uh for the weekend. Uh, probably not, but uh, enjoy it. Keep on cranking out those pictures on the gram and on X. It’s been great to kind of get many of the scenes that you’re seeing right now. And, uh, I know you’re there to work and focus in on, but have a good time. And that is going to be a pretty magical environment that you’re going to be spending one or two nights in on Friday and potentially Saturday. It is going to be an awesome experience and it’s going to be a great party. Appreciate you, pal. We’ll talk to you soon. Okay, byebye. Right on. There’s some of Joe’s sights from the the World Series. It is going to be bananas on the weekend. But hey, the focus tonight is on Dodger Stadium. Uh because of course game five, the crucial game five, a rematch of game one, Blake Snell and Treya Savage. We’re going to be talking about that with JBM in just a minute. All right, we’re going to bring Jake in. We’re going to talk about the cool bet lines, discuss game one tonight or game five tonight. But I will throw out to the chat right now uh our why not question of the day for not autocorp at Waverly and McGilly. Holler at the guys if you want to get on that new winter tire program that they’ve got. They uh will be able to take care of you uh for that in the service department. Uh calls for the game tonight. Can the Jays build off the momentum of their game four win and come back to Toronto one win from a world championship? Let us know in the chat calls on tonight’s game and the World Series for the Toronto Blue Jays. Without further ado, we bring in wearing a beautiful Blue Jays lid. Ready for action tonight in LA, my pal Jake Bowlan Moss from Kbet, who I did get to enjoy some revalry with and the sights and sounds of the World Series on the weekend. How are you, my friend? What’s going on? Yeah, I mean, you mentioned the hat, Hus. I feel like Frosty the Snowman. And there must have been some magic in that old Hattie found because I’ve been wearing this thing since game six of the CS. And uh here we are 22 with a chance to bring it back to Toronto. Um you know, possibly with a 3-2 series lead and uh and a chance to win a World Series. I I don’t know. Every time I get a little down, this team finds a way to fight back and claw and and win baseball games. I I mean obviously the 3:00 um on uh I guess it was Monday night was uh was a rough was a rough morning after that one. Um, you know, I was pretty optimistic following the game just, you know, like find a way. I woke up, I don’t know if it was a bad dream or whatever it was, but I woke up feeling a lot less optimistic. But then when Vlatty hit the tank off of Botani last night, I felt a lot better. And then another magical seventh inning for the boys, get it to 22, and I’m I’m really confident now. I’m feeling good about Trey on the on the bump tonight. Yeah. Well, I I’m I’m definitely glad that we were really busy yesterday at the stadium and I had to do the huddle and I said, “Jake, why don’t we why don’t we have you come on on Wednesday because uh I knew the vibes would be a little different after a big win last night.” And listen, we’ve Ken Weave, I thought said it perfectly. I hadn’t heard this before about the Jays. Uh but he referred to them like they have a cockroach mentality, like you just cannot kill this team. And Jake, to be honest, I mean, if there was a hangover from that 18 in marathon, it seemed to be on the home Dodgers. I mean, the Jays went out and I was really impressed with what Schneider said after the game. He was proud of the way that they battled right until the end and they still believe in themselves and they showed that they could hang with the team through a marathon. And obviously some of his decisions was why they didn’t have the bats in the lineup as the game got into the Wii hours. But I mean, they picked themselves up last night and of course it was Vlad. I mean we’d seen Barger, we’d seen Kirk do some big things so far in the series with George Springer being injured with Bo being hobbled. They needed a moment from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and last night he provided it and that just seemed to propel the team forward. Bieber was nails and then they got those extra runs with our guy Big E Jimenez the bottom of the lineup. the same guys that were crucial in beating the Seattle Mariners coming up big right now and it’s a best of three. Yeah, I mean the outcome of last last night was a crazy hustle. I think our guy JD Bunkas has a great name for this team. He calls them the procrastinators and it very much is that way where you know they might not be winning early in a game. They might not get off to a hot start, but once they get going, good luck slowing them down. And that was seventh inning was a great example. You know, it’s a 2-1 game. Everyone’s counting their outs like, you know, in one of my group chats, we were counting it down from like the sixth onward. It was like 12 outs. Come on, boys. We need nine outs. And and you know, they they put up the, you know, the fourrun inning to get it to 6-1. And you’re feeling a lot more comfortable with nine outs to go that the bullpen can come in and do their job. So, um, yeah. I mean, you look, the other thing I want to talk about, Hus, is this whole thing behind the intentional walks on Monday night and people being so angry online. We need to change this rule because the best player should be coming to the plate with a chance to make something happen. Well, guess what? Last night, the best player in the world went 0 for three with two strikeouts. So, you know, when a guy’s as hot as he was on Monday night in Show Otani, two doubles, two home runs, that’s why you intentionally walk him cuz frankly, Muki Betts really hasn’t showed up in this series. You know, Freddy had the big moment on Monday night, but you know, he struggled a bit himself. I think you’re better off taking your chances with those guys than the way Otani was swinging the bat. But guess what? Schneider went right back at him last night. Like I said, two strikeouts, 0 for three. You’re feeling a lot better. I don’t think there’s any need to change this intentional walk rule that so many people online were so up in arms about. Like it’s so ridiculous, man. I can’t believe no intentional walks. They’ll just go a little too inside. Just pitch around. Yeah. Like so stupid, man. Like you guys not know how what a walk is. Like a walk is a play in a baseball game. The reason they introduced the intentional walk the way it way it is is because it speeds up the baseball game. So, it’s like fine. You want them to pitch to them. You’ll pitch them four balls and you can go stand on first. There’s no difference. Like, it’s so dumb. Yeah. Well, listen, there’s some people that were bent from the Blue Jays. They’ve been frustrating teams all this season. I mean, just ask the Yankee fan in your life. Ask the uh I mean, listen, I don’t have a lot of issues with anyone from the Seattle side of things. I thought that was just a classic series between two teams battling. Um, but the Jays are the most resilient team I can remember and they are hanging with this all-star team out of Los Angeles. And uh tonight’s the night we got the kid in his first road start in and as Ken said, a lot of people worried over a road start. Ken made a great point. This is one of the most pitcher friendly parks in Major League Baseball right now. He’s been up to the moment. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be tonight. And if they can get to um the Dodger starter tonight, um they’ll be in good shape. It’s been a fun series for u the coolers in the crowd. The home run insurance has been great and I was so choked because I because of when I traveled I couldn’t get in on games two or three but I am now two for two. Jake game one Kirk cashed it last night. Vlatty cashed it. Um but for folks that haven’t taken advantage of it, what you’re going to need to do is go to um Koolvet Canada. You’ll see the post. I’ve retweeted it. If you just want to go to my feed, uh, if you make a home run bet of $19.93 or more, but 1993 has been the good vive number, bet one of the guys to get a home run. If it does not hit, you will get a $19.93 bonus. So, essentially, it’s a free home run bet. It’s backed up. I hope I never have to get that insurance or use it, Jake. And, uh, that will mean my guy Alejandro going deep tonight. He is second on the Jay’s odds right now for MVP 8 to one. And it was maybe a I’m trying to will the Kirk MVP into existence. And I will do that with another home run wager tonight. But uh man, it’s been amazing. I mean, I’m seeing so many of the replies, so many people having real fun with uh the home run bet. And it’s uh to be honest, it’s a no-brainer if you want to get in uh and get in on the World Series. Yeah, I mean, you broke it down perfectly, Hus. And I think we’ve even got some people on the old Twitter machine. Shout out to uh Mattie Heyman there. I I know he I think after game one he was like, “Do I need to be on Twitter for this?” And we said, “Come on, get on there.” And and we’ve been DMing back and forth. So uh yeah, I I mean it’s been a fun ride. If you’ve taken it already, you’re welcome to take it again. It’s there’s no limits on how many times you can do the home run insurance. So obviously it’s one per game, but if you took it for game three, say, and you’re like, “Well, I already took it for game three. I probably can’t get it for game five.” You absolutely can. I’ve been doing the manual bonusing um in the morning. So, usually that’s when you’ll get bonus if your home run hitter doesn’t hit or if you’re lucky enough and you’re hust you hit a couple and uh you know, you get that account a little more flush for you know, even though the World Series is coming to an end. We got hockey season in full flight. If you’re into the NBA, football’s still rolling here with college and NFL. So, um, yeah, a lot of a lot of good things to, uh, be excited about even with the World Series coming down to the final few games here. Um, we also have the the Trey Savage Super Boost. So, every day we’ve been doing a vote on Twitter and today we had our first tie in the vote like you guys do in the chat here, US. Uh, so it was Blue Jays moneyline and Trey Savage five plus strikeouts. We figured the money line was the was the boost yesterday and everyone would have hit on that who took it. So, we figured you Savage was the was the play. We also spun a wheel just to make sure that it was okay with the wheel. It was going to be okay with us. Um, so Trey is Savage five plus strike up to even money tonight in the cool bet exclusive. So, if you want a piece of Trey at a nice number that you can get that there. Obviously, the Blue Jays are already an underdog tonight. You can get a nice number on them. And don’t forget about your home run insurance like Hus already mentioned. bet that minimum 1993 and worst case if your bet loses you get that back in a bonus bet. So, um yeah, a lot to look forward to. It’s been a fun ride. I’m I just Okay, so if you go into the exclusives, they’ve got the Bluebird Super Boost. You savage for five strikeouts or more. The first exclusive, if you want to get a little more aggressive here, folks, uh and you’re feeling a win tonight, too. Uh the first one, Ice Trey, great name, by the way, for that one. Trey is Savage. five or more strikeouts, 13 or plus outs, which means he gets through the fourth inning and gets at least one out in the fifth. And the Jays to win is plus 430. Um there’s also a bonus ball. Bo Bashette two total bases a run and the Jays to win is plus 575. Uh I play the hits Vlad, Big N, Bo, and Kirk all to get a hit and the Jays to win plus 775. us. What I’ll say about that one is those four guys mash lefties. If you think they get to snar early, those four guys probably are part of it. Plus 775 is a real nice number on that one. Yeah, and I know a lot of people are going to be jumping on a Vlatty home run bet for the home run insurance. A Vlad home run and a Jay’s win plus 885. All in the exclusives. Uh but let’s get to the home run odds for the Jays tonight. Um Vlad is at plus oh sorry that’s the World Series MVP. Here we are. Player home runs for tonight. Uh Showy Otani of course plus 185. Vlad plus 359. Uh Springer still listed. I’d stay away from that one. I think it’s unlikely that he’s going to play. If you bet it’ll just be a push if he doesn’t play. But uh David Schneider plus 563. Bobette plus 601. Alejandro plus 611. I think that one was like plus 730 in game number one, but the way Kirk’s been hitting, obviously that number’s coming down a little bit. Uh other Jays big earn plus 921. Jimenez, you know, Jimenez had those two monster two-run shots in game three and four. Like don’t be surprised if it’s some guy further down the board. But I will be, if people are wondering, as a as a guy that’s two for two, good things happen in threes. I’m trying to manifest this MVP for Alejandro Kirk. I’m going back with Kirk tonight at plus 611. Um, the Jays right now plus 174 to win tonight’s game. Dodgers minus 192. And the total for this game is 8 and a half. The vibes are high. We’re all jealous of our pel an who’s down in LA at the game. Just uh got a text from him said the game last night was unbelievable. So hopefully he can bring some more good luck and uh we’ll get this series back. Now I have to ask you Jake before we go. And by the way, tune in uh 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning. Myself, Jake, and Pat going to keep the good times rolling with the NFL WST winners. We will certainly touch on game six of the World Series in that program as well. But uh have you are you guys going to the game? Are you guys in at game six? Do we know yet? I I don’t know. I’d love to be there. Us trust me. Um as of right now, I’m not I’m not sure. I don’t want to uh I’ll positively manifest it, but that’s about it. Because there this is No, I mean, you’re going to be watching the game. There’s 100% you you’d have to kill you not to be in it. But it is Halloween night. Like we’re thinking about the circus that’s going to be like in downtown like where we were before. Like just imagine that aers where we were before we went to the game. The combination of a Halloween on Friday and game six of the World Series. Um there’s a lot of concerned parents especially out west with the game starting at six. like they’re supposed to be parents and teach their kids trick-or-treating. Like the conflict and especially the conflict amongst couples I think is going to be significant with what’s happening on Saturday night. I see that deal with it right now. Deal with it right now. Hey, it’s the first time in 32 years. You just have to lean on that and uh pull out every single tool that you have in that negotiation tactic book and uh see if you can make it happen. It’s going to be a lot of fun though. For Mihus, it’s uh so we’re supposed to go to a party at the girlfriend’s friend’s place. Um and I said that’s fine. Like is I know they have a TV there. I will reach out to the boyfriend and make sure that the game is on the TV before I’m doing anything. Um, but I told her I said if I’m in the building, like I’m not going to no party if I’m supposed to be in the building. So, we’ll see what happens. But I’m supposed to be Shaggy. That’s why I’m growing out this chin beard here, waiting to uh trim everything down for Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. But she’s going to be couples. You nailed it. You nailed it. Yeah, of course. You’re screwed. Oh, well, we’ll see what happens. I uh I I listen I hope you’re at the game for obvious reasons but not also because I’d love to hear how you get out of it or just what the conversation’s like. Actually, I got a ticket. So, uh we’ve had a pre we’ve had a pre-con conversation. I will put it out there. She she is aware that if I get tickets, I’m going to the game. So, there’s we luckily we don’t have to have that chat. Um now we’ve had it. It’s it’s unfortunate, you know, for her sake, but at the same time, it’s the World Series, like uh I will look forward to an update on Friday morning when you and Pat join me for WSD winners here on WSD. Folks, turn those notifications on so you know when we’re going live. But 10 a.m. NFL weekly picks. Been sizzling the last three weeks and hopefully we can keep that going tomorrow for the program and most importantly get a win for the Jays tonight. Jake, enjoy the game. Uh thanks for doing this. And folks, again, check the Twitter feed, cool Canada. Take advantage of the home run insurance, the exclusives as well. And uh hopefully this team can just keep on rolling. And we’ve got two very excited Cool Bet guys with me on Friday morning, the day before the Jays could potentially clinch a world championship. Have a good one, pal. Thanks for doing this. We’ll see you Friday. Yeah, shout out to everyone in chat. Thanks for having me, Hus. We’ll chat soon. Good stuff. All right, there is Jake Bullan Moss joining us from Cool Bet. Um, yeah, and I’m just locking this in right now. My Alejandro Kirk home run bet for 1993. And I’m hoping that this will be the third in a row successful bet for the home run insurance. By the way, you do every week have one bet to make. um that where you can add the 30% multiplier. I think I might do that for the money line tonight for the Jays. Like it basically takes the bet from plus 174 to 10 to plus 222. So again, a 30% boost on that. If you haven’t used it, it’s there. No matter what, you can add a 5% multiplier on it. Uh, as it is the game of the day. All that’s over at Cool Bet right now. Um, Remo, uh, I I asked people for the, uh, their call on the game tonight for the why not question of the day. Just before we get to, uh, what everyone else is saying, uh, where are you at? Yeah, I did my uh, home run pick. I did Guerrero, the righty against the left. Yenos Snell has very good numbers at Dodgers Stadium, but I would go Guerrero or Kirk and I felt Guerrero. I did hit Springer in game three. Not Springer, Freeman in game three. Went back to him yesterday, debated him or Guerrero. I p I pick wrong. So, uh yeah, I think I think Jay’s got a good shot to pull this one out here. We’ll see how you Savage does. Uh it’s gonna be tight uh no matter what. Lot lot of enjoyable conversation in the chat us about this Halloween Halloween game. The chat is going great. Let’s get to fan feedback right now for fansfirst.ca. Your number one spot for buying and selling Winnipeg tickets on the resale market. I will say that World Series tickets are just let’s just head over to fansfirst in a moment just before we get to it. Um tomorrow’s game six. fans first. The get in price is 1,445 bucks. That’s the GA ticket. So essentially, your general admission is anywhere from 14.45, the lowest price, to about 16.50. The cheapest pair of seats, uh, upper bowl 534, row 12, $16.99, so 1,700 a pop. Uh there’s a few other tickets that are under two grand, but for the most part you’re looking, you know, if you’re lower in the upper bowl, 2125, 2175, there’s a pair of row ones in 529, which is right behind the plate, uh for a very affordable 23.44 each. What? Um let’s just see. Let’s just see what the lower bowl was looking like. Uh you want to be in section 126 which is sort of right behind the plate in the lower bowl. Uh 5300 a ticket for tomorrow. Uh there is one ticket in 145B which is in the outfield right behind the bullpens. That one’s 2704. Uh 108, which is basically right down by the foul pole in right field. Uh those ones are 2900 each. So, uh I don’t know that that’s if only the HSC millionaire lottery was a little earlier. You could win the lottery and then go and get tickets for game seven of the uh of the World Series. But, uh, it’s all there at Fans First, of course. Uh, much more affordable tickets for Bombers and Jets games here in Winnipeg. Best place to sell your seats. And of course, no fees. The one thing I’ll tell you, if you’re on those seats, that price that’s all in, unlike going to StubHub or one of the other sites, putting in a certain price, and then realize that, you know, 40% later, your credit card bill is not what you were expecting it. Um, I see Darth Skater is predicting 65Js, 19 innings. Can you imagine that? Oh my god, that game on on Monday was so nuts. Uh, Phyllis, I think the Jays can build off the momentum from last night and get it done tonight. Bard, yes, the Jays can again tonight. Uh, Mary Jane, hell yes, the Jays can bring the W this evening. And uh Keith Lily is looking forward to watching another W for the Jays tonight. Um fan feedback is always brought to you by Fans First by fans for fans no fees. Check out the site today over at fansfirst.ca. Uh yeah, Remo, that that Halloween issue is a very real one for both parents, people that are going like Jake, I knew I didn’t even need to ask him. I knew he was going to be going to some coup’s party. like is it a couple’s thing? Uh so he’s up against it there. There’s a lot of guys right now doing some heavy negotiating or planning or problem solving uh ahead of Friday night. Yeah. And I think Jake, if I was going to a party, the first question would be, is there a TV on the game or it’s a non-starter? Not going. And and I see a lot of people like upset about, you know, having to go trick-or-treating with their kids and people like mocking me that I’ll be missing. But my kids go to bed at 7, we’ll be going out at 5:30, done at 6:30. Uh, and anyways, if I was going out, I would have a Bluetooth headphone in listening to the radio broadcast of the game. If there’s one guy that I know that’s technologically savvy enough and hooked up enough to take care of it, I wouldn’t be surprised if Remis was wearing the glasses, the glasses where you’re actually having it right in your eyes throughout it as you follow the kids around uh for trick-or-treating. You know how like people used to wear UNICEF boxes around their neck at uh Halloween? Yeah. I would have my phone or tablet around my neck streaming the game while going host to host. You can do that now. And people are on see people in chat saying, “Whoa, don’t use watch out. Streaming not that reliable. Sportsnet Plus was down yesterday. Uh, you know, too many games for Sportsnet Hus yesterday. It crashed during what the seventh inning in the middle of NHL frozen frenzy with all the games. I don’t use Sportsnet Plus. Not reliable. I got the uh Bell 5 app with my cable subscription. Very reliable. Use it on my multiple TVs at home, tablets, phones. So, there’s ways to stay connected, but yes, I will have the uh I will be walking around with the phone and the Bluetooth. What are the uh what are the costume uh costume plans for uh for the the young ones? My son is going to be Charmander the Pokemon. I knew he’d go Pokemon for sure. And he we got him Charmander and a Chariza. He’s got two costumes. I’ve been scrging marketplace looking for deals. So, I scored a couple. And my daughter has uh what does she have? Oh, yeah. Blue. I think she’s going to go with Bluey. We already did uh Boo at the Zoo. We tr we did a test run. Went well. So, now we got the They’re excited for Friday. My son, he’s six. He doesn’t like candy. I was just about to say, is he getting more into candy? No. Like, that was shocking when you told me, especially knowing that he’s your offspring, but now I I was I’m just expecting that to change as he gets more into Halloween because he’s, you know, cute. He’s going to be dressed up. He’s going to get a ton of candy. This could just be like, do you have to trade with him afterwards? Like, hey, if you give me all this candy, I got some Pokemon cards for you. Or something like that? No, they kind of just get No, this is what happens. They go trick-or-treating. They have this huge bag of candy. It’s way too much candy for these kids. My daughter likes candy. She’s turning three on Saturday and then they just kind of forget about it and it’s in a drawer and I just pick at it. Uh, you know, we still have some from last year. We got tons of candy. I don’t need all this candy, but uh they just kind of forget about it’s just like fun to knock on the door and get the candy and maybe they’ll have some when they get home and then they forget about it. And then it’s there for for dad. I know mom’s not hitting too much of that candy as well. So, you’re in a great position actually going forward. I I do I do want to report though on It’s always neat to hear like what’s being given out. I mean, it’s always the the you know the the saying the little mini chocolate bars, but are we getting some fullsize bars this year? Any new things put into the uh into the into the bags? We will find out. We’ll have a Halloween report uh on Monday. Yes. on the uh on the program. Um you know what? We’ve gone long today. We were gonna have John Cullen, but I think what we’ll do is we’ll have John join us in the next couple days before next week. I do want to congratulate Jordan McDonald. Um who I know golf’s out at Breezy. He played curling out of a Cinnabo and uh they won the final spot in the Olympic trials. John’s also got a new book called Curling Rocks. I mean, if you remember the the Broomgate podcast, which was so good. I He’s a comedian and a curling guy. He’s the perfect dude to have this. We’re going to have him on the show in the next couple days um to uh talk about the uh field being set for the Olympic trials and the new book as well and kind of see how Maddie Dunstone, Carrie Anderson, Caitlyn Laws, um you know, all the Manitoba teams that are part of the Olympic trials are sort of looking as they get through these grand slams and get ready for the end of November in Halifax for the right to represent Canada at the Olympic Games in Curran and uh you know what I’ll do I tomorrow will be a game day. Obviously we’ll be all over Jets Chicago, but I’m going to uh I’m going to postpone this week’s NHL power poll until tomorrow. Um we’ve got too much going on today and uh it’ll be nice. NFL power polls on Friday. Um we need to take in more of the information and the data from yesterday’s frozen frenzy. only one game tonight in the NHL. Uh it is funny, Remo, the Jays have, I think, been planned to play every single game that the Blue Jays have played, the Leafs have had a game as well, except for Monday when uh the league was pretty dark. But back to back, the only team playing backtoback yesterday and today, the Toronto Blue Jays. They’ve got the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight. the NHL schedule kind of annoying how you have so many games on one day and then like one I guess it’s nice that you have a day off and we can focus on on the baseball but I don’t know it they got off to a bad start when the first Friday of the year the the season they had no games so I don’t know what you do here but I didn’t care about that at all I didn’t care about that at all I cared about it was I cared I was looking forward to watching more games tonight but Uh, one game Toronto Columbus. Sure, we’ll we’ll watch Columbus. You watch that, you go for that. Every other person in North America will be watching the the Blue Jays. Even Leaf fans locked in on the Jays tonight. You don’t think I can watch two games at a time? It’s 2025. Has Ken Ken, we’re just talking about multitasking with Ken. Like, I’m going to be switching between games. I want to follow fantasy, you know, sports equinox. Do some multi-port parlays here. very you feel very accomplished and very wise when you hit a parlay that has, you know, four four different sports on it on one day. Normally, normally Jake Jake would have thrown in a Toronto double in the exclusives. Uh, Leafs, Jay’s, but the exclusives are just Jays. Jay’s today, Trey Savage, Vlatty. Um, get in there on that. And, uh, as I said, Matt Heyman was wondering, I’m rolling back with Kirk tonight. Um, Alejandro, the heartbeat of this team. I think he gets one tonight. And, uh, I’m going to I will announce this now. I’m going to use the 30% win boost on the Jays money line tonight and hopefully do a little bit of uh, of double dipping. Looking forward to having Pat on the program on Friday, but again, Friday morning, we will uh, get all over the numbers and our picks against the spread uh, for the weekend. And Jake was also mentioning we got to jump into the futures market again now that we’re sort of at the midway point in the season. Have a feeling we’ll kind of focus on NFL and we’re at the World Series on Friday’s show, but we’ll do that next week once we’re into November and the stretch drive to the uh the playoffs. The playoffs that we’re concerned about this weekend, World Series and the CFL. We’ll talk more Bombers tomorrow as uh the team leaves tomorrow a day early for Montreal before their one o’clock kickoff on Saturday afternoon. And uh you know Remo, we all remember or anyone that was at the building last Friday against the Flames. We’ll all remember how preoccupied fans were at times paying attention and watching the Blue Jays on their phones while watching the game on the ice. Uh, it gave those wild experiences of people hearing about the grand slam throughout the building in the middle of play. Uh, I have a feeling we’ll have a similar situation on Saturday afternoon as people sit down to watch the lone visit of Sydney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins and at the same time living and dying through everything happening with the Bombers in Montreal starting one hour before puck drop. Yeah, crazy how the both games are at uh the afternoon, but uh that’s what multiple TVs are are for and all that. So, uh should be a great Saturday as you said and possible game seven too in the evening. You bet. All right. Um thanks to Jake for popping by. Fun stuff with Scooch, Kenny Weeb, of course, Connor and Ree at the beginning of the program. Um thanks to everyone that jumped in. Really fun day in the chat. And thanks to all of our wonderful sponsors who make the show happen each and every day. Uh tomorrow we’ll have a uh morning skate report from Connor. Um Brandon Rowiki is going to jump onto the program. hoping to have somebody from the Chicago media join us tomorrow as well um to talk about you know the Jonathan Ta’s return how it’s being covered and reviewed in Chicago and as well talk about a exciting young team that just uh put up a touchdown last night on the Ottawa Senators Connor Bard’s first hattick Frank Nazar’s playing great the young goalender they got in the Seth Jones trade Spencer Knight so uh lots of talk on the Jets Hawks tomorrow and of course a full recap as the World Series ride continues. We’ll break down game five and look ahead to the uh game six, a clinching game for one of these two teams, whoever wins tonight, Friday, at the dome in the World Series. That is going to do it for us gang. Enjoy the ball game tonight and join us tomorrow for another game day edition of Winnipeg Sports Talk as the Chicago Blackhawks come to town to take on the Jets. for Michael Reis, Connor Rabchek, I’m Andrew Patterson. Have a great one. We’ll see you tomorrow right here on WST. Oh my god. Shut it down. Let’s go home. Thanks for tuning in to Winnipeg Sports Talk Daily.
