Drake Maye is the Patriots offense. He has 2/7 of the Pat's rushing TDs. Also #5 in the NFL in passing yards, #1 in Completion %, #3 in average yards, #2 in passer rating (behind Lamar who's only played in 4 games). If he's not the MVP so far this year, I don't think people know what MVP means.

That’s a scary stat to be honest, while I’m glad he is able to run but it’s risky and not sustainable long term. He should be mobile and scramble out of pocket here and there but not have 50 yards each game. Hope Stevenson and Henderson find their groves and act as load carriers.
I’m right there with Maye as a potential MVP. Hell, I’ve got money on it.
But to say he is the offense is not only incorrect, it’s disrespectful. Pop, Diggs, and Boutte have all made incredible catches that were either poorly thrown or required a level of athleticism that most teams can’t expect.
Henderson and Stevenson have been moving the ball in meaningful ways since week 4 or 5. Maye is running the ball at times where he has open targets.
That’s to say nothing of McDaniels playcalling.
Maye is better than any 2nd year has any right to be, is a potential MVP, and I legitimately believe we might be talking about him the same way we talk about Mahomes now in a couple years, but no. He is not the offense.
I’m not a film guy, but have teams been stacked the box? I know there were issues with the predictability of the playcalling regarding the halfbacks for a few games. I wonder if the run game will improve as teams have to be more careful about covering the receivers, especially deep routes.
Having a QB that can take off feels like a cheat code.

Henderson needs to become James White 2.0. Get him running out in space on the edge. Catching passes out of the backfield, etc.

Allen is a freak but he has plateaued and has a serious run game backing him, same thing for Jones.
Taylor has Jones to work with.
Drake IS The Patriots. He has a team that just started over from less than nothing talent wise. All he has is good coaches. The talent we are starting to see from certain emerging guys is because their play and mindset is being elevated by Mayes dynamic performance.
