It was a no-brainer for Michael Brennan. Four days after winning the Bank of Utah Championship on a sponsor exemption in his third start on the PGA Tour, Brennan formally accepted membership on Tour. By virtue of his win at Black Desert Resort, he earned fully exempt status through the 2027 PGA Tour season.

Next week, he will compete in the World Wide Technology Championship in Los Cabos, Mexico, marking his first PGA Tour event as a member.

He started the season on the PGA Tour Americas and earned a promotion to the Korn Ferry Tour for 2026, but his Utah win zooms him past that circuit and into the big leagues. He won three times on the Americas tour in August and September.

His maiden PGA Tour win also earned him spots in the 2026 Players Championship, the 2026 RBC Heritage and the 2026 PGA Championship.

Brennan is the 13th sponsor exemption to win a PGA Tour event. He’s also just the seventh player since 1970 to win on Tour within his first three starts.
