Will Kane ever fit in on the Canucks?

We haven’t talked a lot about Evander Kane. I I feel like that’s kind of flying under the radar right now. Um but it’s not going to probably for much longer unless he turns things around. We’re now through 11 games. He has not scored a goal, four assists. Um he’s leading the team in he’s leading the Conucks forwards in even strength ice time right now. Uh remember he was in the JT Miller spot on the left flank on the power play to begin the year. like they’re putting him in prime positions here. Um he’s taking, you know, take took another bad penalty uh last game. He is drawing a ton of penalties. I thought that was interesting. I looked up the stats like he’s kind of even on penalties drawn and penalties taken, but um you know, I think that was something that was has been an issue with him before. It’s not like an isolated thing just in this Vancouver time, but yeah, like like why is that guy getting you know, if he’s struggling, why continue to to to put him out over and over and

  1. It's hard to find chemistry with anyone when everyone's injured. He made a nice pass to Brock, but that's obviously not good enough. Given the plan for the Canucks, once I got past the no rebuild thing, I was fine with bringing in Evander, but I thought he was the physical presence that was needed on an EP40 line. Instead, he's played everywhere else.

  3. In a contract year & playing in his home town, you'd think he'd do better but I just see him making bad plays & giving up possession of the puck constantly! I don't see a resigning at this point & in the near future!

  4. He plays good along the boards and behind and around the net. He actually kinda needs the dump and chase style versus the rush. He wins like 90% board battles. You see when he’s up by hash marks or blueline he just blind fires it on net cause he cant really pass or make plays high up

  5. Hes definitely not JT Miller, but why hes on the powerplay? Hes a step behind on skating and reacting to plays…now im missing D Joshua!

  7. Will be funny when he flips the script after being traded to a bottom-6 role for a legit Cup contender in a few months.
    Time for a revival of the Florida-Vancouver pipeline?
