Bickley Blast: What do we make of Devin Booker’s performance and body language? #nba
Don’t look now, Valley sports fans, but the Suns and the Cardinals have combined to lose nine consecutive games, while our former hockey team just lost for the first time in 15 days. But all is not lost, my weary travelers. Despite their loss to the Grizzlies on Wednesday, I thought the Suns look very competitive and occasionally promising. Colin Gillespie proved he needs to be the full-time point guard. Royce O’Neal looks very good in a sped up offense. And Mark Williams might be an all-star if his feet and ankles and back hold up. And it’s cruy ironic that the one I’m most worried about is the one I never considered. Devin Booker, who might have had the most deceiving 32point performance I’ve ever seen last night. And his body language isn’t ideal either. Almost Kyleresque. A player who cannot find a rhythm or a comfort zone. a player who went straight off the court last night without shaking hands, then declined media availability afterwards. Now, neither of those things are a big deals to me, but they are windows into our most important player. And it seems Valley sports fans are at peak frustration with both Booker and Mi Murray, both of whom wear number one and need to start playing like
