In all fairness, Allen was our target.
I’d much rather be us than the browns or jets at least. It would suck to watch a guy you gave up on be successful. It’s significantly easier when Rosen just was a bust
I still think the Chiefs trading up ahead of us to get Patrick Mahomes when we had BA was worse 🤷♂️
Its not likee the Jets and Browns didn’t fumble as well…Sam and Baker are not succeeding with them

You can’t blame us too much for picks before us. We could have maybe negotiated higher picks, or not. I don’t recall those teams’ needs. But QBs are such a crap shoot and hindsight should be ignored.

Does anyone else wonder if Josh Rosen is hanging around outside the Vikings facility hoping Kevin O’Connell remembers him. It’s funny how many people blame coaching and scheming for Kyler Murray struggling in any way. Yet most of those same people forget Josh Rosen had Steve Wilkes and Mike McCoy.
Firm believer Lamar would never have the success over here that he’s had with Baltimore . Here’s the real problem, the year prior Bruce Arians loved Patrick Mahomes but we didn’t have the balls to move up . Instead we drafted Reddick and misused him . I think BA would have salivated at staying here in AZ and developing Mahomes . Bad franchises are going to bad franchise …
I get a ton of hate for this but Rosen could have been a really good QB but that atrocious coaching staff ruined him. He stood in taking massive hits throwing great passes in a pocket sam Bradford decided to retire rather than risk playing in. He was ruined after that imo.
Agree, however, 2 of the 4 QBs weren’t valuable enough for their original teams to keep, and the Ravens have in the past been ok letting Lamar walk. Honestly, we should have traded out or taken Bosa instead of Kyler and landed someone like Goff as our QB the following year.
I remember BA going on some sports talk show before the draft and saying the Cards should Lamar. Oof.

Hindsight is always 20/20. You could look back on past drafts and make any team look like idiots. If anything it shows how much of a crapshoot the draft is, especially when it comes to QBs.
