I'm not gonna lie, I'm surprised by how little Myles Turner has been scoring but I also don't really care. We play so much better when he is on the court.

I'm so impressed by how impactful he is without the ball in his hands. Everything just looks smooth with him playing. He's also been extremely clutch on defense.

  1. As long as he plays this level of defense and shoots 5 to 6 3s a game we’re gonna be prettttty good

  2. This stat is masked a bit by him and Giannis sharing the on/off minutes together.

Still no complaints, his offense will come and defense is already there.

  3. Don’t show this to pacers fans. They would lead you to believe this was the worst addition ever (as they sit in the cellar at 0-4).

  4. I’ve seen people (mostly Pacers fans) talking about us overpaying. But isn’t elite defense and five-out spacing worth 27 million? I think the eye test and the on-off splits clearly proves that. On top of that he still can get way better as a scorer.

Teams have literally been trying to acquire Turner for the entire 2020s.

  5. Someone posted this on Twitter, but it could might as well also be about Bobbys impact, too, or rather lack thereof

  6. It’s been so nice to have an athletic big that can defend like Turner, because before this year every single team with an athletic big destroyed us.

The Knicks games where KAT torched Lopez/Bobby nonstop were so painful to watch.

  7. having an athletic rim protector stretch big allows giannis to take risks on the defensive side again, which we have not been able to do since 2-3 years ago when Brook was still Brook

  8. This has a lot to do with him playing basically 100% of his minutes with Giannis on the floor.

I’m not saying Turner isn’t valuable. But just looking at on/off splits is terrible analysis.

  9. Now imagine when he’s knocking down his shots. But also keep in mind he’s literally always out with GA.
