So while Sam has been great, I really dislike stats like this. “Take away everything bad that could happen around a QB” okay sure but part of what makes elite QBs elite is that they overcome bad protection and drops and whatnot. Not trying disparage Darnold because he has been very good, more so this is just a dumb made up metric

I was scared as of week 1. QB performance is obviously driven by a the player capabilities but also the team’s staff quality. We got a winner on both accounts.
