I find it hard to believe that we would part ways with Chuba for such low value after a big contract but if we’re confident that Dowdle will sign with us and be the bell cow back while Brooks and Etienne develop I really don’t dislike this at all. We just need more than a 5th if we don’t have majority of that contract covered which the patriots are likely to do given their cap situation.

  1. A 5th round pick? Sure. If you add in a lot more.

Idk who on their roster but if we could get solid help on the o-line or another weakness I’d be alright

  2. We taking rumor advice from Twitter accounts with less than 400 followers created in December 2024?

  3. I don’t believe this, I believe Pats have inquired but we don’t have a deep RB room.

  4. For a 5th round??? This is the kind of trade your bum ass leaguemate would send you in fantasy when one of your starters has a bad couple of weeks

He’s at least worth a 3rd round pick and a player

  5. Pats are looking likely to be a playoff team so I don’t see a 5th being worth the loss in depth unless you feel confident you can sign Rico to a multi year deal for way less.

  6. I think we’d be crazy to not start Rico right now, but we’d also be crazy to trade away the guy we just gave a big contract after playing a big role last season just based on a hot streak from Rico. We have so many positions of need right now, if we trade away Chuba and Rico regresses or doesn’t re-sign that adds RB to the list for… a 5th round pick? Not even close to worth it

  7. LOL. He was a 4th rounder when we drafted him & he paid off.

Chuba is a starter, not a project.

Multiple round draft compensation is required.

  8. I interrupted watching TNF for this nonsense? No way he’s going for a single fifth rounder

  9. Surprised they don’t want Rico considering he’s on a a one year deal.

Saw the top of your screen, go Canes!

  10. I have not seen a single reputable news outlet or writer report this, just random twitter accounts

  11. Panthers will hold out for the best deal just like they did with with Christian McCaffrey and Brian Burns!

*Based on the collective response to my last post I need to indicate the above comment is sarcastic because we received poor compensation for those assets relative to their value*

  12. Crazy how everyone has turned on Chuba after 3 games from Rico against the Dolphins, Cowboys and Jets. He is a starter and at minimum it would take a 3rd and defensive player or offensive lineman and full contract takeover. In my opinion a 2nd and 4th would suffice but cmon. I’m tired of us giving away starters for peanuts.
