Stolarz loses his mask
Oh, well, Stler has lost his mask and the referee did not blow the whistle. Yeah, definitely. Instinct takes over and then you’re kind of standing there and the shots coming and you’re always still have to play the whistle. So, you maybe get hit once, twice a game in the head with a puck, whether that be warm-ups or in the actual game. So, you know, you’re kind of just rolling the dice and playing the odds that uh you know, it kind of goes somewhere else. So, when you get hit in the face, the snaps actually pop, then it just comes off. So, you think you’re Johnny Bower in there and you you continue to play and continue to make saves. Fear is a factor, but the adrenaline gets going a little bit more. And thankfully, I never uh never took one off the face. You see the mask and the straps exploding, how it’s able to to absorb the uh the impact of the puck and kind of get us going and keep us safe is probably the most important thing.
