Kevin Gausman Postseason highlights! (Blue Jays turn to him in Game 6 of the World Series!)

Kevin Gosman faces the Yankees for the fifth time this year and for the 40th time in his career. Yeah, they got a lot of film and a lot of history against him. He’s home with another one, two and fades away for strike three. Finished him off for the splitter. Scoreless top of the first for Kevin Gosman. Broken bat diving catch by Vlad Jr. Brad’s put a stamp all over this game through two innings. You think flag, you think offense, you think home runs, but you think this. Wow. The one, two, four innings for Kevin Gosman digs this one out down the line. Lucas makes the play and the Blue Jays are taking all the things that made them a 94 win team and putting them on display here in the first game of the postseason. You just wonder if the Yankees can get something to drop if it changes that momentum for him. But right now, everything is clicking for that guy and his team. Not that the Yankees are on their heels, but they’re going up to the plate going, “We don’t get many pitches to hit.” The eighth pitch. He tries straight through that previous pitch set up this aggressive. His hips are open. He’s got nothing to get to the barrel of the bat. He was committed way too soon. popped up as good as a strike out for Kevin Gauzeman. Infield fly rule in effect. Bargers got it two-way. That’s going to do it for Kevin Gosman. Kevin Gauman gets ready to trans the tone in that division series. He cruised through the first five innings against the Yankees and finished official run over five and two/3 getting away. Bounces one left side. Rins it home. Burggers throw it there. The tag from Kirk and he’s out. Addison Barger throws home and they come down Cal Raleigh. Two on, two out. Naylor lifts on off the end of the bat to center field. Varo coming on, puts it away. A missed opportunity for the Mariners. Kevin Gman gets out of it with some help from his defense. Turns it up with a fast ball of the knees. That’s where he’s going to get the called strikeouts because the ball’s down and you train yourself to think, all right, make him get it up. Well, that ball carries because it’s a fast ball and he might think, okay, split down. That’s a ball and that’s where the Mariners are going to be caught tonight. He’s got it with some help from Ryan Additson giving him the call on the outside corner. Karate on two chases a spinner for strike three. Two of the first three got hits against Gossman, but he sat down eight in a row. Did he go? Couldn’t lay off strike three. He got away with a couple breaking balls and this is just a really good splitter. Gossman’s 2-2. Splitter drops off the table for strike three. Masterpiece. Fast balls in and then splitter change of speeds after fast ball in. Locking them up twice. That change of speed just is too much for hitters to cover both. It’s going to do it for Kevin Gosman. Just a run over five and two/3. But Bryce Miller just as good. Game one starter Kevin Gosman. Well, Kevin Gosman’s been outstanding the especially the first five innings. He’s been really tough to hit. Spots his fastball. Rarely is it in the middle of the zone. He has done a great job pitching in and out with this fast ball and killing them with the splitter. And the Mariners have to hit fast balls tonight. They have no chance to go to the World Series if they don’t start barreling up some fast balls, hitable strikes, and be a little more aggressive. Julio Chan start earlier than usual here. And on a first pitch fast ball, a fly ball to center field. One pitch and one out for Kevin Gosman. Two starts in the postseason for Gauin. And you mentioned it almost identical and that he did not give up a run over the first five innings and then ran into trouble in the six. Swings and misses. Best splitter yet. The league one for 17 against that pitch in the postseason. That pitch, why he swung at it was primarily because of the 3-1 pitch that was called a strike and it definitely was not. Very rarely will it be a high fast ball and a low split that both the hitters will swing at. Eight pitch to rebas goes down swinging. He finished him off with the splitter. Adu Haney with Suarez came into the game six out of his last 50 back to the end of the regular season. connects and has Seattle on the board first in game five. Wow. Splitter dives under the swing. Strike three. It’s just the perfect weapon. 3 0. You’re supposed to be at a disadvantage as a pitcher. And if you get back in the count like he does, you got that equalizer that puts a hitter really in a box. sticks with it and finishes off Palanco. Back-to-back strikeouts of Raleigh and Palano on the splitter for Kevin Gosman. Somebody’s going to move on and be happy and somebody’s season ends. Ground by the short could be two. There’s one. There’s two. A 643 double play to wipe him clean. the old tailor made version of a guy that can run. Bouncing ball to second coming from left to restriction game seven. The Mariners three. The Blue Jays won. Kevin Gosman, the ace of these Blue Jays in his 13th year in the major leagues, makes his World Series debut. Yeah, he’s waited a long time for this. And he’s going to throw his fastball split combination the majority of the time. And he’ll mix in a slider. And I’m intrigued about tonight’s game to see with all the matchups he’s had against these players, and he’s had a lot of them. Does he go away from using a high percentage of splitters early and rely on that fast ball? Oh, two pitch. It’s a fast ball that was left over the plate. Poked to the left field corner. Lucas is there. A lot of the play with that but got away with it. Got to spread the f off of the table. Dodgers with a little two outburst in the game’s first run. Sevengame hitting streak coming in tonight. Payoff from Gman. He is down on the pass. And there is that one, two, three inning in a stressful time. A low stress moment. 10 consecutive outs for Kevin Gosman. 10 of the 12 outs though have been on the four scene 22 with a set with a splitter. This one was nasty. I told you normally you don’t want him down and in, but that had such downward action. It didn’t get pulled. And when you pull a splitter, it has the opposite spin that you want. the one two right back there to strike him out. Backto back Ks to open the fifth when they said the height of the fast ball is going to be the most important part of tonight between two pitchers probably a ball close though and then you see a pitch in that same area and there’s just no way there’s another scooter to get him. I mean, there was just no way to throw anything else. As jumpy as he was on that previous pitch, that’s what you got to watch. You see that, you go, he’s trying to get the fast. Don’t give him anything close. Splitter wasn’t even close. This was actually worse than the pitch before. Ky Hernandez to expand for his sixth strike out of the game.

Kevin Gausman will take the mound for the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 6 of the World Series. Gausman has pitched 24.2 innings during the 2025 Postseason, striking out 18 batters and posting a 2.55 ERA.
