NBA Insider Leaks Pelicans in Serious Discussion to Fire Willie Green

Listen, got a bit of news to hand out to you guys on this Flash Report, man. Listen, we talked about it at Nauseium Mall off season about Willie Green, man. And just some information to share with you guys about sources that’s being talked about right now. In particular, this is a tweet from NBA insider Brett Seagull is currently talking about the sources that the Pelicans are holding serious internal discussions about head coach Willie Green’s future according to league sources which they told Clutch Sports. So, this is a few of the things to kind of talk about. We knew coming into the season that Willie Green was the number one guy uh that was one of the main issues. Now, there’s a lot of uh people on the outside saying that Joe Dumar is a part of it. Joe Dumar just got here, man. He just got here. At least afford him the same time as the the previous guy had to get this stuff together. I don’t think uh uh this is a quick fix by any stretch of the imagination, but Willie Green is the last thing that’s holding the Pelicans back. The team quit on them. And the reason why the Pelicans are failing is because of Gail Benson. Let’s put the the where it belongs. It’s on Gail. Gail kept Willie Green because he’s a nice man. That’s why she kept him. She did the same thing with Elvin Gentry. So the the premier the premier or the discussion about Joe Dumos being the issue is Joe Dumas can only do what he can’t do. He can’t usurp the damn owner and fire the man when he was hired and she wanted to keep him as one of the caveats. But the issue is Joe Dumas has to be able to allow Willie Green to fail to justify him being fired to the owner. It’s as simple as that. Once he’s fired then of course the assistant coach will take over Barago. Now, what does this mean that the Pelicans would ultimately turn the season around? What Berago is is he is in a way better option than Willie Green? Obviously, and I’ll expound on that after giving you guys this news. Now, you all know we going to give it to you real. We always do here on PPR, right? So, the Pelicans started the 2526 season 0 and4 leading to an increased belief that head coach Willie Green will be fired. I mentioned 10 games. It actually might. And after the blowout losses, there’s some speculation. Shamad Dera Dera did say uh had a u a uh tweet or whatever you want to call it on the on his uh Blue Sky page. Y’all check him out over there and give him a sub. He’s doing great work. He mentioned the fact that uh there is discussion that Willie Green will be fired after this trip. So, uh we’ll see what’s going on there, man. But this is a situation where you seen Jordan Pool uh visibly upset about what was going on with the Pelicans. He hit a three-pointer and turned and stared Willie Green down. So, like I said, it’s already starting when you got guys that don’t respect the coach and he’s calling them out as soft already on the press conference even up last night. Yeah, Willie Green is is is just been supposed to be fired, man. The his the guy that hired him tried to fire him last year and she stopped him and fired the guy that hired him and made it a caveat to keep him. So, the Pelicans have started this season off 0 and4 and are holding serious internal discussions about moving on from Willie Green. According to multiple sources, ownership is stood by Green’s side over the years, including when David Griffin wanted to fire him uh last season. Joe Dumar, the team’s new executive vice president of basketball ops and new member of the front office, had been questioned about head coach’s future, but he was but he was fired and replaced by Dumar. Griffin was expected to seriously uh consider parting ways with Green. Ultimately, organization ownership decided to keep Green and fire Griffin. Once again, there’s a growing sense of the front office wanting to change on the sidelines in New Orleans. Whether ownership approve of such a move is a question at large. See, it’s her. It’s not Joe Dumas. I don’t think Joe Dumas has a problem with firing Willie Green. I mean, he is he the team is not performing. He doesn’t know what he’s doing, man. And what he is Willie Green. Anytime a front office takes over, it always feels like it’s a matter of time before changes are made on the sideline. Willie Green Dumar’s ownership had a strong relationship. It appears the coach’s tenure is nearing the end. Amid the Pelicans 04 start to start the season, several players have appeared disinterest disinterested and frustrated with Green’s lineups and and are being handled. Sources say the displeasures have been visible on the team’s bench as well as heard behind the scenes in the tunnel and locker room. Indeed, he doesn’t know what he’s doing through the team’s first handful of games. Star forward Zion Williamson has been engaging more than usual with associate head coach James Burggo during the pregame warm-ups and routines. Barago, who has interviewed for several head coaching jobs through his years across the NBA, will likely be named the Pelicans interim coach if the decision to move on from Green is made in the coming weeks. There’s been a growing sentiment around the NBA that Green has lost the Pelicans locker room and that was evident in Wednesday’s night on the road uh against the Nuggets. One of Green’s most questionable decisions to begin the season with is starting 37y old DeAndre Jordan who just signed with the team on Friday over rookie a firstround pick offensive rookie center. He’s not really a rookie but he’s in his second year and I get what he’s saying but Eves Mei after traveling or trailing 5447 the Pelicans out scored 39 to11 in the third allowing the Nuggets to go up on a 29-2 run over the first eight minutes of the second half. During that span, players on the bench were seen shaking their heads and and essentially quitting in the middle of the game. Green called three timeouts during this span to try to get his team back on track. The Pelicans went on to lose a buck 22 to 88 on Thursday. That’s their fourth straight loss to begin the season and their second straight loss by 22 points here. So, the Pelicans will play two more games on the road, the Clippers and the Thunder before returning home for a matchup on Charlotte. I told you the speculation is Willie Green will be fired when he gets back. That’s what Sheamadulla and other people are saying inside of the building. Whether it’s true or not up to this point is just a rumor. Speculation surrounding the Pelicans indicate a decision on Green’s future is being made when the team returns from its current three-game road trip. Sources told Clutch Sports, “No team in NBA history has ever made it to the playoffs after starting 0 and6 in the season. That is insane.” And it’s crazy because we they have a similar stat in NFL. It’s if you start like the the Dumb Saints are 1 and seven currently. uh they there’s no team in NFL history that ever got over being one and seven to make the playoffs. So the Pelicans now that’s something I didn’t know. So that’s a bit of a uh information for all of the faithful out there is no team ever made the playoffs after starting 0 and6 and the Pelicans sit up here at 0 and4. Similar remarks have also been shared by Pelicans reported Shamad who we talked about here since being named the head coach of the team in 21. Green has posted a 148 to 184 record with the Pelicans taking organization to the playoffs in 2022 and 2024. Should the Pelicans make the decision to move on from Green, it is unknown whether he will remain with the franchise in the front office or in some capacity as an adviser. See, this is what we’re talking about where if you fire somebody, let’s bring him in to do this. This is Gail Benson nonsense. This is the silly Benson. Her silly ass. That’s her. This is her silly uh information. This is her. The same stuff that happened with Elvin Gentry where she wanted to try to reprise his role after being a coach. And if you want to let Willie Green hand out tickets or greet people or even put on the Pelican costume, I’m cool with that just as long as he’s not involved with coaching the team. You know, you can hire him to do clean up or whatever you want to do. Drop the limo. I don’t care what you do. But in the end, Willie Green should not be a professional basketball head coach of any team. Let alone us. A team that’s he lost the team last year. He lost them early. He he he’s his adjustments are ridiculous. That’s some of the stuff that we’re talking about on this episode. And we’ve been talking about this for some time about Willie Green. And now uh Joe Dumas obviously has enough of uh you know evidence to present to the court. Shouldn’t be no serious discussions. There is no serious discussion. The Pelicans are on what 11ame losing streak dating back to last year. The only two teams they have and Alex threw this out here. on the teams that they beat. Well, it didn’t count much in preseason were Australian teams. They beat two Australian teams and lost to all the NBA competition. 11 straight losses dating back to last year. And Willie Green, it’s a question about whether or not Willie Green should be fired. That is Gail Benson. And that’s Joe Dum is trying to convince Dale uh to to convince Gail Benson. By the way, the ticket prices are suffering right now. They have an L moving those tickets by the way. So if you can’t get over that, maybe you could take a look at your damn money. So it’s it’s tough trying to tell somebody about basketball and they don’t know nothing about no basketball. This is what you dealing with uh with New Orleans’s pro sports teams. But Shamada Da uh you know smartly mentions the main number one culprit behind the Pelicans. This is one of the tweets he have on Blue Sky. Number one culprit behind the Pelicans current situation is Gail Benson. This is true in her ownership group. Dennis Loucher, Greg Benzel, and Mickey Lis. I agree. wholeheartedly. Makers know Mickey Luma should not be uh any involved in any decision-m as a general manager. She hadn’t stopped him from doing that as he made several stupid flubs. Greg Benzel was tied to this scandal, the uh Catholic Church scandal. He should have been reprimanded and fired based on what he got. I don’t understand why they ain’t had charges that came for him out there. He’s protected and Dennis Losa is connected and tied up into the board. These people are just fleecing the people. These are incompetent boobs sitting on top of these professional sports that are enriching themselves. Los is on the board uh of the hospitals. Ashner, what is he doing sitting as a director on Ashner’s board when he’s supposed to be the the literal president of basketball uh and Saints and football operations for these professional teams? By the way, he don’t know nothing about none of what none none of them even though he looked like he was a former offensive lineman. But the reality is Losia doesn’t know anything and neither does any of these other people. Joe Dumos comes in. He just got here five months and he’s hamstrung on this coach. When you come in and the team is losing, one of the first things you do is get rid of the coach and bring your own guy in here. If they had, Listen fam, let me say this before I go. If they hadn’t hamstrung and tied his hands on getting rid of this coach, we could have possibly had him alone to start the season off with. We could have had a credible coach that could tie into the philosophy of what he was going to bring here already in place if it wasn’t for Gail Benson. her nonsense about keeping a hold to these people and giving them extra chances to do stuff when it’s quite obvious they don’t have what it takes to do anything. Willie Green is a terrible head coach. He’s a he’s a decent assistant to help you with some stuff, but he is he’s not he’s not a good communicator, not a good motivator. His adjustments suck. He doesn’t have any type of of ability to catch the rhythm or the tempo of these games. He’s fastly losing respect from players that Joe brere. Like I said, Joe, you seen Did y’all put one in the chat? Y’all seen the play when Jordan uh when Jordan Pool hit a three-pointer and turned and looked at Willie Green and stared him down. He didn’t appreciate coming off the bench. So, I mean, these are things that we are seeing here because obviously uh there’s cursing. We seen P obviously frustrating, slamming down his cup, you know, guys fussing at each other all in the locker room complaining and and Willie Green sits there uh you know, with with as the circles around his eyes continue to grow. In the end, man, let’s hopefully we get this buffoon guy out of here, man. Willie Green, bro, you done collected the check. You didn’t got you a bag from the city, bro. You you you lived your fantasy for four almost five years of of of of being a head coach, right? You you done lived your dream. Like, if I could just be a head coach, New Orleans gave you that. You didn’t return the favor. We didn’t go anywhere with you. The team failed big time and it’s time for you to go. So, word on the street is that Willie Green will be fired. This is just rumor reveal, but Willie Green will be fired after the twoame road trip that we have remaining. We have the Lakers, I mean, I’m sorry, the Clippers. We’re at the Clippers and then the final game, I believe, uh, is OKC. So, if you know the no NBA team in the history of the league, if that stat is true, I’mma look that up, has started the season 0 and6 and ended up making uh, the playoffs. I’m have to look that up. Y’all kind of do y’all researches as well. But in terms of the Pelicans, if that’s the case and uh we’re already 0 and4 and the Pelicans have two more games before 0 and6 that’s on the road against teams that are going to be tough, the Clippers and OKC. So, let’s just hope that we get a win out of one. Uh, but you know what be is really interesting for my people out there that believe in um, you know, circumstances that happened that is really peculiar. If Willie Green is fired on the way back, if if this works out and the rumors are true about him being fired uh, and gone, if they fire his ass, the interim coach would be James Bergo. And guess who he will be coaching against for the very first time? The Charlotte Hornets. the same Charlotte Haunted team who James Burggo used to head coach for. You can’t make it up.
