Is it crazy to say that JSN is the most talented wide receiver in Seahawks history?

  1. Too soon to tell perhaps. Largent was the real deal, and JSN is just in the early stages of his journey. Could he be the most talented once it’s all said and done? Yes, but at this moment in time, I wouldn’t say yes or no, I would say TBD.

  2. Wow.

Uh, yes. It is. That’s not to say we don’t want him to get to that level, but the guy hasn’t even finished this season yet. No major awards, no league titles for receiving yards or receptions or touchdowns. On what basis are you making this claim?

  3. He has to prove it over the next 6 years to come close to replacing Largent. If he breaks the Seahawks all time receiving records you can make this argument.

  4. In times like this I like to quote The Wolf from Pulp Fiction – “Lets not start suckin each others dicks quite yet.”

  5. It’s not crazy to say but it’s definitely early to say.
Let the brother run for a while.

  6. Single season, yes. Overall, no, not yet. Largent, Lockett, and Baldwin for me, even Blades and Darrell Jackson over a career.

  7. OP, this forum is one of the last places on the internet where it’s a good idea to question the deification of Steve Largent.

  8. Yes it’s crazy. It’s still way too early to tell. I don’t even have him above Doug Baldwin yet. He has the potential without a doubt, he could be the best we’ve had but he needs more time.

  9. I love the JSN hype, he’s an amazing receiver that just exploded, he Is one of the most talented right now in the league, but besides obviously Steve Largeant, there was also Doug Baldwin,Tyler Lockett, Brian Blades and so many other talented ones, Even Jerry Rice played for us so maybe Is too early to put JSN in that list, but he’ll get there.

  10. Yeah that would be crazy, he has the potential to be the best Seahawks receiver, but he’s not there yet

  11. Does he have the best 7 game run, maybe. Definitely since I have been watching in the 90’s. I think he has the potential to be the greatest Seahawks WR of all time but talent doesn’t always marry up with longevity in this league. I thought Koren Robinson(mostly off field stuff)was gonna be the GOAT lol

  12. You are forgetting the most underrated receiver of all time that played for the Seahawks. Doug Baldwin

  13. Recency Bias; gotta remember that Largent is considered a top 20 receiver *of all time.* Plus, for grins and giggles, a way-past-his-prime Jerry Rice belonged to us for a season, and he’s the GOAT.

JSN is a fine receiver, but he’s got a lot to prove over the next several seasons to even be mentioned in Largent’s class.

  14. When JSN knocks the fuck out of a linebacker after an interception, then we talk. Bonus points if said linebacker committed a personal foul on JSN earlier in the game.

  15. Recency bias is hilarious. JSN looks great right now, but lets see it over 8-12+ seasons.
