Do you believe the Tigers’ reported shockingly low offer to Tarik Skubal is real? #DetroitTigers
John Haymon follow-up report revealing the Tigers shockingly low offer to Scooble a year ago, less than $80 million over four years. That can’t be. So, do you believe this report? And what if it’s true? What does it mean? Yeah, I I don’t believe it at all. I I simply don’t believe that they thought that this was, okay, well, we’ll just go ultra low, they’ll go ultra high, and we’ll find a happy medium in the middle. I believe there’s a chance it could have been January of 24 before he won. And and and they’re just playing on semantics at this point. Yeah. Last year they offered this. I didn’t lie. It technically was last year. John, it’s as good a theory as if I’ve heard because at this point, you don’t even make that offer. Like if that’s the offer you think he’s worth and you think you have a completely different evaluation than the market, don’t insult the player. You don’t hit send on that email. No, but if true I would support it. Skubal is good, but not that good, for a 10 year/300 million.
A off comment about this it so crazy that a low offer for people to literally just hit a ball or throw a ball is 80 million it just insane that as a society yeah that a low deal for a sport player it just really insane especially in today economy where majority of people need to work 2 to 3 job to feel “comfortable” while if you was good at hitting a ball or throwing it when you’re young you can make 80 million it just insane
