Yeah, these are the same people in charge since then. Wtf Raheem has on these guys, idk, but hot damn, that’s crazy considering we ended up canning Quinn. Matt was veiwed as a HC in waiting type, so we can’t say, oh he never showed those traits. He’s consistently had Green Bay in the winners circle of the NFC

I was furious when they didn’t promote Lafleur. You can always count on this team to make the wrong choice in most situations.

Obviously in hindsight McDaniel and LaFluer would have probably been great as our OC at the time BUT… Sark struggled in year one and then was crushing it in year 2. Matt Ryan has nearly identical numbers to his MVP season in 2018. Plus Julio had arguably his second best year.
Not saying the Falcons org aren’t doofuses by not recognizing the greatness of our 2016 coaching tree, but I am saying Sark was a scapegoat fire who had been getting better over time. I’d take him over the rehash of Dirk Koetter or any other offensive coordinator we’ve had since him.
Even without hindsight this was a bad move.
Quinn, and seems Blank and company, needed a yes man instead of someone with agency.
If this isn’t DAMNING, I don’t know what this is. The Falcons franchise is a clown show, making the same mistakes over and over again.
Sark was a god awful NFL play caller.
He isn’t half bad for college but he was trash on the NFL level. I would say he is basic and predictable but he looks like a mastermind compared to Zac.
