It’s all morning. Greeny, I’m excited to be here. Have we talked about the Huskers yet today? Have we talked about the Huskers? Okay. Not yet, but we will be soon. Okay. We got the Buzzing Boys here. Taylor’s had a different costume for every block of the show today. Color me impressed. But we got a great question for you. Here we go. We’re talking about quarterbacks like Mahomes and Allen who face each other so much, including playoffs. Which active quarterbacks have started the most games against each other headto-head the most times? You ready? I think you’re going to get it. Oh, I’m ready. Aaron Rogers and Matt Stafford. Come on, kid. That’s a good one. That’s a cool Aaron Rogers and Matt Stafford is correct. That’s very good. Danny, good ideas of himself. Or I think was a chip in on that. I hadn’t been wrong all year. Lest it be clear. Let lest anyone be wondering, uh, Taylor Lewan’s costume is uh Will Compton today. Hey, you see it coming back. The hair, you see it coming back. The haters are sick. Okay, so we slide right from that and a well done job by you two. It is Rogers and Stafford. Two straight out of Compton. Will’s got bold takes and then Taylor dressed as Will will respond to them. So here’s our first. The first bold take is as follows. Will, talk to me about the Patriots in the AFC. Off of my bold statement to start the show, the New England Patriots will be the number one seed coming out of the AFC, boys. Oo, I don’t like it. You don’t like it, Hawk. Rest of their schedule, rest of their opponents, their combined record right now is 25 and 44. They do have an incredibly easy schedule. Is this about you not buying them or are you thinking they get caught by who? Who is it that’s going to be the It’s about me not buying them. You’re not you’re not buying New England yet. They don’t strike me as the best team in the AFC. Do you have to be the best team in the AFC based on their schedule in order to be the one seed? That’s sort of the point here. Their schedule is somewhat startlingly easy. The Colts obviously also play in a very winnable division. They have both their games with Tennessee already under their belt. You buying Patriots or Bills to win just the division. I still believe that the Bills will win the division. I think they got to get healthy and their defense is healthier outside of ed. I do love New England though right now. What’s going on? I think they’re a playoff team. I still lean Buffalo in the division. This is a ridiculous way to frame the question, but do you like New England or love New England? I love New England and I think it goes back to are they the best team in the AFC? Probably not, but their schedule definitely warrants that. If Drake May continues to play he the way he has been this season, I there’s no reason to believe that they shouldn’t be the one seed. Drake May reminds me of an older Dylan Rayola Compton. Next take. Who’s the MVP? Jonathan Taylor. The uh MVP Shifty said it earlier. should not be going to a quarterback because right now Jonathan Taylor is the MVP in the NFL. That see I I love this take and I think we have turned this into the a quarterback award because the quarterback by definition does have more value. But that to me shouldn’t be the answer. Which player made the biggest difference? Last year the answer to that question as great as Allen and Lamar were was Saquon Barkley. And this year it’s Jonathan Taylor. He is the reason this team has done what it’s doing. He is the reason Daniel Jones is having the year he’s having. Jonathan’s having an outstanding season. There’s nothing that I can say in a negative fashion about him. The MVP of the NFL right now is Drake May when it comes to the value that you are providing given just back to last year given what’s around you. What a take. Okay, so Drake May one, Steph’s coming off an ACL. So two, Kahan Booty is their number two receiver. He he wasn’t this highly drafted wide receiver. He’s got two tight ends that are certainly longer in their careers than they are younger. Drake May playing quarterback just about as good as anybody with the least amount of help around him when it comes to just talent. That’s not a knock on those catches. Keeping it real. I think ESPN bad is fall. Isn’t he like third shortest odds at this point? Like Drake May is I personally do not hate that take. It’s it’s also out of the quarterbacks that are playing great right now. I think it’s Momes. Okay. He’s got way more to him. I And then Stafford way more to work with. Daniel Jones way more way more to work with. Baker Mayfield way more to work with when it comes to quarterbacks playing a high level. Who’s got the least amount around him? All right, I like the take. Let me get one more. One more straight out of Compton from Will. They played phenomenal last weekend, but Willie C is not convinced. I’m going to stay in the haters batters box here. And I’m going to say the Eagles are overrated. Eagles are overrated. Defending champions. Are you buying that Taylor Lean Eagles overrated? You know what? I’ll get in that batters box next and close with Will Compton. I believe that is the case. They looked better last week, but you have to stack weeks together being complimentary on the on the run game and the pass game. Overrated. Dan, help me with this. We We miss you on Mondays. The the the general take on Monday here coming off of their performance the other day was putting um Jaylen Herz under center has completely changed their offense. It is part of the reason that Saquon was so much more effective this week. It’s and obviously Jaylen threw four touchdowns playing without AJ Brown. What is your Have they figured out what was wrong with their offense? Yes, the last two weeks very much so. Less predictable. Number one, putting the quarterback under center. Number two, when he’s under center, they’ve been able to get to more runs. Also, the defense doesn’t know run. We talked about this about a month ago where Squin’s alignment in the gun would tip, run, or pass. The third thing is the play action game. The play action game has been a huge part of their pass game over the last two weeks. So, the the I think it’s allowed their offensive line to fire off the football. You got to play vertical as an offense in the NFL right now, if you want to play horizontal, you’re going to get beat. Also, they’ve realized that having something that you major in as a second or third pitch has been a beneficial thing for their offense. Why are you Why are you exasperated? Can Can the Eagles enjoy their bye-week? No. Can Can Will and Will just get off their case for one minute? AJ Brown double while like they’re not playing this week. They’ve played well the last two weeks. At least give them this week to just chill out. Let him enjoy the bye-week. That’s overrated on your by week is insanity. Let me ask you a question. Let’s see if they win this weekend. What? We’ll see if we’ll silence them on Sunday. What should we make of, if anything, of the fact that they played without question their best offensive game of the year last week without AJ Brown on the field? I I mean, there’s something there. If I’m on the other side, if you’re entertaining what life could look like outside of that, and this is all hypothetical, but if AJ Brown is unhappy, you say, “Okay, well, there’s a world where we can still maintain what we’re doing.” I don’t know if that’s the case. It’s something we first started talking about on this show last week, but they’re on their by-week. We can talk about this next week. Selfless wide receiver in the NFL.
