Colts’ Shane Steichen Updates Grover Stewart, Jaylon Jones, Rules Anthony Gould, Samson Ebukam OUT

Guys, we’re rolling out. We’re going to rule out uh just Anthony Gould and Samson will be out in the game. Go over good. Yeah, he’s progressing well. We’ll see how the next, you know, 48 hours go. He get hurt in the game, I guess. Just left over from the game. He has foot. Yeah. So, Jayen Jones, what’s up? We’ll see. He had a good week of practice. We’ll see how it goes. Josh Downs return. We’ll see. What will you not see? We’ll see a lot. Yeah. Try three. I assume Riley Leonard still back up. Yeah. Riley back up. How do you assess progress in the area or whatever just a couple weeks into it now? Yeah, I think you the scout team reps out there and see how he’s progressing in that uh manner and those details and everything and obviously preparing. Um obviously he’s one play way so preparing the right way and he’s been doing a hell of a job there. Um, so that’s where you’ve won each of the last three years against Tomlin and the Steelers. Anything you’ve figured out? Uh, we just got to stay on the details. Uh, stay locked in and ready to go. We know we’re going into a hostile environment against a really good football team. Got a lot of respect for coach Tomlin. One of the best to do it uh all time. So, a lot of respect there and uh got to be ready to go. Games in a row and then the second one in Germany. Did you ever consider doing some teams do where they just kind of stay on the road. Yeah, it depends on where you’re at. I think we’re far enough east coastwise that we’ll be all right there. Yeah, when I was at the Chargers, we went over the line. We played Cleveland, stayed in Cleveland for the week. We didn’t want to go back to the West Coast. So, that was part of it. In general, just going on the road, I think it’s five or six away from home. You brought that up with your team at all. You kind of have a heavy home early now. No, I really haven’t. I haven’t addressed that with them. I think we understand that going on the road in these hostile environments, we got to make sure our communication’s on point. Take it one day at a time. Good. All great. Um I guess like he intends to play. Yeah. To be ready.

Indianapolis Colts HC Shane Steichen spoke before the Pittsburgh Steelers game and ruled out WR/RS Anthony Gould (knee) and DE Samson Ebukam (knee).
