  1. Anyone suggesting changes to the ground rule double rule that involve an umpire judging “how stuck” the ball is or the outfielder making “an effort” to get the ball out has absolutely no right to complain about umps having their own strike zone for a game or other human element/judgement calls such as check swings.

  2. Thinking LA wins tonight, Toronto had so many chances last night and couldn’t bring in runs. Dodgers have most of their pitchers able to play tonight.

  3. That wedged ball is the most brutal bad luck beatdown I’ve seen in a world series in a while.

I know there’s been debate on how much that would’ve affected the game, but had that done anything BUT get stuck, the game would’ve at least been tied imo.

  4. The amount of “this rule should change” discourse this series has been exhausting.

No. They should not start awarding extra base walks because they intentionally walk a guy more than once, no they should not force the pitcher to throw 4 balls like they used to. No. They should not get rid of the dead ball rule.

  5. Jays didnt have 2 hits in an inning last night. Hard to win with those stats.

Also, I wonder what Roberts does if Barger stays on 2nd base strategy wise. Walking Springer to force Schneiders hand on Lukes was a possibility.

  6. I’m thinking the Jays win this one. I think Scherzer shoves and the combination of Ohtani, Glasgow, Roki (snell?) at least one gets knocked around for a few runs.

  7. I’ve never been more confident that momentum discourse is pointless as I have been this post season. Just off the top of my head everybody thought the Blue Jays were dead and buried after going down 2-0 in the ALCS, after losing game 5 of the ALCS, after the 18 inning loss and they came back and won every time.

They might lose tonight, but not counting anything out for the Blue Jays

Edit: There was also the alleged giant momentum swing for the Yankees after they came back to lose 12-7, which…..lol

  8. I feel mentally destroyed from that loss last night, can only imagine how the players are feeling. But they’ve played their best baseball with their backs against the wall, can only imagine they’ll be coming out hot tonight.

    Go Jays!

  9. Anyone else have a random YouTube video of a dissimilar ball at the wall that they want to post to this sub? Might as well get them all out now lol.

  10. We have gotten lucky so many times this playoffs, but also made some clutch defensive plays. If we win this thing it’s gonna feel like robbery but that’s baseball. You have to execute and not make mistakes. We’ve gotten by on other teams’ mistakes.

  11. The most annoying thing about this series has been Maple Leafs fans trauma dumping on the Blue Jays and their fans. They think every Toronto team is as cursed as the Leafs, so they think its inevitable that the Blue Jays blow it. Maple Leafs fans also did this during the Raptors title run.

  12. Everyone keeps talking about the controversial 9th inning. We get it. Jays have had very unlucky spots in this series.

but that doesn’t excuse from that fact that The Jays just didn’t gave any attack. Kept leaving their guys on bases.

They did this everytime Gausman has pitched in the playoffs.

I get it. Yamamoto is a great pitcher, Still no excuse for when the others came on.

Jay’s didn’t hit. left the guys on bases. simple as that.

  13. This game 7 is about to break all viewing records! Baseball fans rejoice, we gonna see multiple dreamteam pitchers tonight!

  14. they jays always do really well coming off of a loss especially at home and honestly besides the pitchers neither team was particularly cooking last night so as far as I’m concerned they jays can very much do well today

  15. I feel for Barger who in the 9th thought he had an huge hit and inside the park home run to tie the game and the whole stadium buzzing, to a double from a wedged ball with no RBI, and then a base running error to end the game and lose over 4 pitches.

On the plus side, we have Game 7. One more game to play and another chance to win the World Series

  16. Per OptaSTATS:

In each of his last 3 starts, the @Dodgers’ Yoshinobu Yamamoto has:

allowed no more than 5 hits
allowed no more than 1 run
allowed no more than 1 walk
    struck out 5+ batters
    earned the win

No one else in MLB history has done that in 3 consecutive postseason starts.

  17. I’m just glad that the outfield wall saved Roki from a post season trauma and Glasnow successfully cleaned up the mess left by Roki. Roki is a player that even Japanese baseball fans can’t figure out. We thought when he got arm injury early in the regular season we wouldn’t see him pitch again for at lease a year but somehow magically came back in time for post season and has helped his team as a reliever. I never thought he could be convinced to be a reliever as he seems only interested in being a starter. Plus, how could he recover from the arm injury so quickly when other pitchers usually take much longer to overcome it? I guess that’s the perks of being young.

  18. I think what upsets me is that it feels like the only chance this team(Jays) will have to compete for a World Series any time soon. We’ve had such a great run this year, but AL going to be even harder next year.

Dodgers, it just feels inevitable they’ll be making it to the end every year.

  19. Dear SkyDome team, please reinforce the bottom of the fence today. Bolt up that bitch up with thick steel and titanium. – Thanks kindly, Canada

  20. Huge game tonight, whoever wins the game, which is done by scoring more runs than the opposing team, wins the World Series!

  21. The blue jays lack of patience in the later innings Hur them.

What’s crazy is, clement not bunting there when it was 2nd and 3rd, should be discussed. So my question to everyone in here, should he have bunted, or should have not bunted? Bc if he bunts and with the speed on base, a run possibly scores and all the jays would need is a fly ball in the next AB.

    What’s everyone’s take on that?

  22. That was some real Mountain vs Oberyn shit we pulled last night.
Win or lose, it’s been a real honor Toronto. Hope tonight is one for the ages!

  23. It’s Joever. Blue Jays can’t possibly win this against the Dodgers pitching. Nice try, Canada

  24. I have more confidence today than i did yesterday. Whatever happens it was a hell of a series.
