Marco Sturm Needs the Bruins to Get on the Bus

Marco, despite the goals given up in the third period when the game kind of got away from the Boston Bruins, I thought the two goals in the second period were the most harmful. The threeon-ree rush on the Giru goal and then Batson getting open right in front of between the hash marks. Uh just mistakes of execution and how damaging are those and how fixable are those mistakes? Yeah, I think it’s you either buy in or not. that that that’s right there, you know, that’s uh that’s the difference and that’s what um you know the if you just look at the Ottawa team today and they do it and and we’re not and that’s and that’s the game. Penalty killing’s been good all year. Gave up three tonight though. What were the issues with the men down? No, I think uh I I think finally caught up to us a little bit. We can’t take every game we think we can take uh five penalties every night. Um it’s going to be hard on our killers. Um yeah, we knew they have a really good uh faceoff uh um um you know, center men lining up every time and uh they won their face off really clean and we just didn’t do a good job. And what are the challenges to bounce right back tomorrow against the Islanders? Uh well uh that’s a good thing I guess, right? You don’t have really time to um to think about that one. Uh, I think we got to put that one away and uh show some uh show some life tomorrow. Uh, especially at home. Thanks, Michael.

  1. Sweeney must have missed this bus ride, because he signed a bunch of 4th liners to multi year deals and got nothing for Marchand. This team will waste Pasta to the point he may wanna leave in few years as this inevitable mediocrity continues.

  2. The Bruins are pathetic from the top of the organisation down and have been been for several years. Our top players clearly don't want to be here and the signings we have made in recent years have been awful. Until we get rid of Sweeney and those former Bruins leeches above him we will continue to decline. It's just an old boys club sucking the life and money out of Boston. The hierarchy are a disgrace.

Sturm was never the right man for the headcoach role but he got it because he is a former old boy. We have been on a downward spiral since they fired Cassidy.

  3. I enjoyed PJ on the desk last night. He called it like he saw it and was not wearing the rose colored lenses. Toughen up and play the game for 60! Your schedule is no more condensed than any other team, step up!

  4. Horrible coaching. This team has no identity. None. At least be tough? They aren't even that. Horrible waste of the talent they have and Swayman was a huge misfire.
