We’re rightfully the laughing stock right now(not us but dumars). Hard to see how it gets better with Gayle heading it
Seriously though if we had just signed Looney and drafted fears we would be sitting with 2 lottery picks and possibly high lottery picks in next years draft and salaries of $138M with the cap of $170m next year. If we were rebuilding we could use that space to take on longer term money for FRP.
As it is now we have no FRP in 26 with salaries of $187M leaving us just the Mid level exception to use in FA next offseason.
Yes we need o fire WG but what Dumars and Weaver have done is down right criminal with how badly the evaluates this team and how they managed the teams assets
You know what actually is funny? I genuinely thought the players would’ve played harder after the way Joe Dumars talked about the team. Not a single atomic structure of this team has changed from the past 6-7 years. And you have an incentive such as not having a first round pick next season to play hard but still the same old Pelicans.
I think I’m checking out as a fan until something really actually significant happens for change
