Figured he would; not like we wouldn’t bring him back on a AAA deal if he has no luck anywhere else, anyway.
No hard feelings to him, not his fault we asked him to do more than he’s capable of. Seemed like a good teammate and professional.
I’ll always be a fan of his. Solid player, especially as a bench bat/lefty platoon/defense replacement type guy. And the rest of the team seemed to like him. All the best, hopefully he can find another contending team to be a 5th infielder for and play another 5 years.
He had a negative 1.4 war. Solid player? Dudes bat was basically dead at an rbat of 48.
See ya in mid-March, then
Came in clutch, reliable and is was always available. I wish him well

Espy was good for what his role was supposed to be, defensive fill in. But it was his time to go. The utility spots were getting full, with Stewart probably bumping Steer into one, along with Lux and a returning Callihan. Add that theyll probably take a good look at Vilade after the numbers he out up in Louisville, and Espy was the odd man out.

Hope he catches on somewhere.
