I have no idea if shes accomplished anything or really how much there was to accomplish in the Cub’s minor league system. Neither object nor celebrate this move.
I always hire her for the pitching coach job in Brooklyn in OOTP because her pitching coach rating is pretty good so this is a funny turn of events.
Edit: It might actually be her Dev rating for manager position, but for any OOTP players out there point is she’s a great add to your minor league system
I have no proof that this was a poaching but it really feels like it. Recently promoted to AAA and still left? Guessing large pay raise even though shes going to our AA
“Folden is one of MLB’s most advanced coaches in **tech-based hitting development**:
* She built her reputation integrating **biomechanical feedback** from *K-Motion, Rapsodo, Blast Motion,* and *Edgertronic* cameras.
* Expect her to bring a **“swing signature” profiling system,** a database approach that clusters hitters by movement patterns and optimizes individual plans.
* The Mets, under David Stearns’ modernized front office, could synergize her methods with Justin Ward’s (pitching side) data analytics for a *holistic pitcher–hitter feedback loop. (If he is poached/hired from the Red Sox)*
**Tactical effect:**
Better minor-league offensive efficiency — fewer dead-end prospects due to poor swing-path optimization. Expect an increase in hard-hit% and contact consistency across A- and AA-levels within 12–18 months.
# 2. Biomechanical + Cognitive Training
Folden has emphasized **motor-learning and reaction-time training** in her previous work. She understands *“feel vs real”* disconnects in young hitters and implements cognitive feedback systems (visual training, eye-tracking).
**Tactical effect:**
* Faster translation from cage work to in-game adaptability.
* Reduction in “chase rate” and improvement in swing decisions, particularly for power hitters trying to master plate coverage.”
lets go!
It’s cool that we got her despite the apparent superior promotion in the Cubs’ system.
“A woman boss?!”
Cohen must pay coaches like this way above industry standards to get someone to accept a lateral movement.
But can she hit a 99mph fastball. Or, better yet, has she ever had that skill.
