IT’S GETTING EVEN WORSE FOR JT MILLER… & EVEN BETTER FOR ELIAS PETTERSSON
[Music] Man, so I want to open this video up by saying that in yesterday’s Kucks and Oilers postgame commentary, there’s one big little uh oopsy daisy that I made that I didn’t catch until the video was fully public and published for multiple hours. And I was like, “Wait a minute, what?” Because in our postgame video, I said that Elias Person, Vancouver Conucks, 11.6 million centerman, I said that he had two points in yesterday’s game, thus equating to five points on the weekend, three against Montreal, two against Edmonton. So, uh, yeah, you can imagine my shock when I went back over to NHL.com, looked at the box score again, re-watched the goal clips again, and said, “Wait a minute. It wasn’t Elias Patterson that got an assist on Kefir Sherwood’s Matias Echome Jock strap roofing goal. It was Elias Patterson. Oh my gosh, for the first time, it bamboozled me. Like I feel like it was inevitable, right? Especially for someone like me who is a solo show who goes out there and makes videos about all the games and who talks about all the players and talks about all the points. It’s like ah it was a lieas who sent the puck up to Besser who sent the puck up to Sherwood. I saw like, oh, it’s Sherwood from Besser and Patterson. And I was like, all right, great. It’s a twopoint night for Elias Person, but no, it’s freaking Elias Patterson, bro. I should have, you know, I should have I should have paid a little bit more attention. I should have looked at it and saw Elias Person one. It’s like, ah, that’s the first assist he has on the year. It’s probably not Ilas because that guy’s had a few assists already. But either way, Ilas Person EP40 only had one point yesterday, not two. And I wanted to talk more so about EP40 because uh yeah, as you can tell, I’m in a pretty good mood. We have ourselves a Vancouver Conucks game tomorrow. That is going to be a battle for the ages. It’s going to be Vancouver versus New York, NYR. one of the better road teams in the NHL, but not a great team in general still. When you look at what’s going on with the Rangers and how they totally suck at home, they can’t score any goals at home and they’re one of the worst teams in the league at the time of recording this audio. And I wanted to talk about this tweet posted by Logan Kuckskate on Twitter that talks about through 10 games 26-year-old Elias Patterson has three goals, five assists, and a plus three. And 32year-old JT Miller has two goals, four assists, and a minus4. Got to be feeling good about that decision right now. Person is at eight points. Miller is at six. And right now, for the first time, literally the first time since the gosh darn trade was made, heck, literally the first time since February of 2024, two seasons ago, for the first time since around that period, Elias Patterson has gone out there and outscored JT Miller in a decent sample. the entire 2024 2025 season. We saw Miller get more points than Pey both pre-trade and post trade. When Miller went over to New York, he was producing pretty well. He was over a point per game to end off his stint with the Rangers at the end of 24-25. 35 points in 32 games played. That’s solid. 70 point season in 72 total games for JT Miller. Person on the other hand, well Ilas Patterson, it won’t be the first time anybody mentions the fact that he had only 45 points that year, 64 games, but yeah, 45 points. This season, Pey is now up to eight points in 10 games and he’s a point per game in his last five. And the best part is it’s like, man, this guy is starting to play so well again. He is starting to move his feet. He is not afraid to run the puck up, skate the puck up himself down Main Street. You know that little chance that he had against Edmonton yesterday where he came into the zone on the left side, then he cut back and he had a backhander. Yeah, that might have been the fastest we have seen Elias Person skate in years. And the game against Montreal, also one of the best games we have seen out of this guy. Even Ray Ferraro said so in years. Elias Person is freaking getting back into it, baby. He’s not fully back yet. He needs a fivepoint game in order for us to fully feel like he is like back back. Like he’ll be able to get 100 points in a season again back if he just keeps it up like that. Even this season, I feel like it’s already 10% of the way through. He’s under a point per game by only two points, which is not bad. He has a lot of ground to make up if he wants to get a 100 point season this year. But if he gets 85, 89 even, which was what he had in the last season that he was considered to be good, then that’s kind of fine. And you look at Rangers fans, okay, Rangers are playing the Canucks later tomorrow. That’s going to be fun to watch. This is a tweet that I stumbled upon my timeline that I thought was really, really interesting. NYR Louie said this yesterday. The most Rangers thing ever is to put JT Miller in a trade as a throwin right before he hits his prime. Watch eight seasons of prime JT Miller in Tampa and Vancouver. Trade a lottery first plus for him right after his prime ends. Being a Rangers fan is miserable. #NYR. Don’t worry, he only has a no move clause on 8 plus millionaire AAV for 5 years. Haha, it’s a disgrace, man. JT Miller and Zabanad as our top players till 2030. Why have one regressing center entering his mid to late 30s making 8 million bucks plus with full no move clauses when you can have two of them? Chris Jury said and the fact that there are so many folks agreeing with this and reposting liking this tweet, it says to me that there’s a very particular way that Rangers fans feel about the JT Miller acquisition and about JT Miller as a player. Yes, it’s true. The guy might be hurt right now, but it is so interesting to see how things have gone for this guy the past few games. From what happened against the San Jose Sharks the other night to the loss, just total crumble of a loss against the Calgary Flames. I mean, this Rangers team, they had their bread and butter on the road earlier on in the year, but that 5-1 loss to Calgary, that’s killer. The Flames suck. and New York just lost to them. So either the Rangers and JT are going to be angry and wanting to come into town into Vancouver and just beat up whatever they could get their grubby little paws on and get themselves back in the dub column or this Rangers team just isn’t that good. And I’m talking a big talk right now because my Vancouver Conucks just beat the Edmonton Oilers. So I’m feeling pretty good about myself. But all that can change tomorrow if the Vancouver Conucks don’t have Quinn Hughes coming back and they don’t get anything going, which is totally possible when they’re not having Quinn Hughes. Elias Person being good though, is so important to this gosh darn hockey team in that it allows the upper ceiling of that team to expand by such a vast amount that it’s like it’s not even verbally describable. Penderson being good changes just how good the Conucks can be and it’s not even a question at this point. He is so effective at doing what he does when he is feeling it. And that is what we saw in yesterday’s Vancouver versus Edmonton game. And it’s what we saw out of Pey in the Montreal game as well. And JT Miller is not really looking like somebody who is going to be meeting the sucky baby version of Person heading into tomorrow’s contest. So, with all that in mind, I want you to let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. How do you feel about this JT Miller situation and how it’s looking like right now, especially with Patterson being as good as he’s been? If you enjoyed this video, feel free to hit the like button. If you didn’t, the dislike button is there for you, too. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below because that helps out with the algorithm. I’d really appreciate it. last two games pettersson has had more open ice and less pressure but also making better plays
Rangers got spanked 5:1 by CALGARY, lol
Lego, stop riding the headlines. Last week the talk was about EP buy-out
The rangers are probably playing to get their coach fired.
If anyone wants to cheer for JT miller then go cheer for the Rangers.
Way 2 early to be having these He Sucks ! Conversations ( lol ) Lots of Hockey to be played still
THEY TRADED THE WRONG PLAYER! peeps in shambles right now.
Always go with the younger player.
Luo – Schneids
Miller – Marky
Marky – Demko
Silovs- Tolopilo
Horvat & pick for Hronek & Raty.
Miller for Chytil & Mancini.
Dont forget JT was traded from NYR to TBL to Van to NYR due to his behaviours and actions with team mates.
ENJOY YOUR NEW CAPTAIN NYR FANS.
I wonder what a happened in the last 2 games…hmm Reichel perhaps???
@1:50 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Petterson will go down as the worst signing mistake in NHL history. I just don't know why people can't see it. He can barley skate. His skates become skis as soon as he touches the puck.
miller is a career loser, never won anything, tampa traded him and immediately went back to back lol
pettersson is clear of that fraud 😂
I like them both. Miller pushed too hard and wore out his welcome with more than just EP40. I hope Miller gets a big ovation and just move on.
EP40 needs a better team around him. Just look at Horvat now that Islanders are starting to improve
Am I the only one who finds this guy's narrating somewhat iritating?
If Elias Pererson can consistently score 70+ his contract is gonna age well. He doesn’t need to score 90+. That would just be a bonus.
Yesterday at lunch we met Hughes , Miller and Foote who we didnt recognize at first in Yale Town…They were having some food and drinks
Didn't want to disturb them too much
Took another Pic though with them
Didnt see Petey…Maybe he wasnt invited LOL
He hates taking pics with fans anyways
I know from experience at Telus when some of the Canucks used to walk in the store
Miller was the best with fans
Quinn as well and Myers
EP40 needs to go. Nothing below 100 points is acceptable, and he's never gonna be that guy again.
