The future looks bright for the Chicago Blackhawks 👀
And that’s true for the other team that I want to get you on, Cory, and that’s the Blackhawks because Spencer Knight uh looks like he can be a long-term goalie for them. Yeah, that’s been the one of the few names that I’ve heard consistently around the league. The early talk here is like Spencer Knight looks back. Spencer’s always had the talent. Very athletic, very intelligent, very technically structural goalie and he’s been very impressed with Chicago early on, been a big part of their success. I think you have to be really excited by how Knight has looked. You got to be really excited about how their two young centers and Connor Bernard and particularly Frank Nasar. Nazar has been arguably their best skater so far this season. Outside the NHL, Anton Frontell has been excellent in the SHL this year. You know, one of the better draft plus one SHL seasons, at least a start that I can remember. Roman Canerov now leads all U23 scorers in the KHL. He’s at playing at a point per game. Nick Lardis, as we record this, is the leading scorer in the AHL. And Oliver Moore, as we record this, is the second or third leading scorer in the AHL. So, a lot trending in the right direction with some of those kids. I think when we start talking about Team Canada’s World Junior team in a in a week or two, I think Merrick Banaker’s going to be in the conversation there for a bottom six buck. [Music]
