Sharks | Toyota Game Recap 11/1/25

Take a look at those highlights. Starting in the first period, it was Marty Party again getting things started. He scored the first goal for the ABS yesterday. 41 seconds into the game. This one comes 30 seconds in. 30 seconds in. ABS do a great job of rotation in the offensive zone. Arturi Lannin screening as obviously Kale Mar head up feeding Marty Nas and gets a little bit of a lucky bounce here off of Lillren’s skate. just going barely wide but ABS will take it 30 seconds in. So very early to start the period but then towards the end of the period with 139 Mlin Celibbrini’s point streak continues here to tie the game. We talked about him a lot pregame and he’s just putting on a display here. Beautiful pass from Tyler toy. You can see Kale Mar he’s backing off because to driving Taves wide and this is a fantastic shot. First overall pick for a reason. He picks the high corner on Mackenzie Blackwood. We move on to the second period of this game. The Sharks would take a bite to take the lead and Kervichev and what we really want to look at here is the missed interference call of Tapes. There’s interference. We’ll have a look another look at it here shortly. But it’s a beautiful pass from Dandria to Kurashv. And this is a fantastic shot. A guy that was brought in in Chicago has goalc scoring prowess getting a second opportunity in San Jose. Taves is throwing his arms up. You can see right Well, not right here. Thought we were going to get another look at it there. Oh, I thought so, too. This must be our Oh, there it is. Sorry. We just went through on the uh on the replay, but you can see right in the middle of the screen, Wenberg. That’s a smart veteran play, but it’s still interference. There’s two refs on the ice for a reason. That’s a missed call from Stripes all day long. Yeah, missed call. But then some more wonky stuff happening here. The ABS with a wideopen net opportunity. And then, you know, let’s just crash into the net, says the Sharks, cuz we don’t want that to happen. We don’t want to see an ABS goal. This is absolutely on purpose. There’s accidentally on purpose, and there is absolutely on purpose. And this is Jeff Skinner going absolutely on purpose. I am going to crash into the net when the puck is sitting on the goal line after a fantastic move by Nathan McKinnon. But Arturi Leen, what a beautiful pass to Nathan McKinnon to set him free. And the refs end up reviewing this. And because Skinner knocks it off and it would have been a goal had that net not been knocked off. You can hear it. Don’t need me to explain it. Yeah, explain it. Well, you heard him. So, it’s a goal and the fans inside SAP Center were not happy, but that’s okay cuz Nathan McKenna McKennon was happy. And then in the third period, I mean, what a great A opportunity for Parker Kelly with a wide open net. Well, Ascarov misplays this, falls down, and then he’s able to get back to his feet quickly. You can see here a little reverse toe pitch. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. How quickly he gets up and he fires his stick out. Parker Kelly gets another opportunity after that and then slammed his stick in frustration. Oh, and it’s understandable. We head to overtime and then this happens. Kvashed gets his second of the game, wins it in overtime for the Sharks. McKenzie Blackwood was great tonight. Listen, he hasn’t played in 182 days since the playoffs last year. Didn’t have a training camp. Yes, he’s been skating, but you’re going to have a little bit of rust. And this is a great shot, but also probably one that Blackwood would want back, I would
