Patriots vs Falcons in NFL Week 9

_

The New England Patriots improved to a 6-2 record after a 32-13 win against Cleveland last week for their fifth-straight win. The Patriots will return to the confines of Gillette Stadium this week when they host the Atlanta Falcons. The Patriots have won six straight regular season games against Atlanta, tied with Cleveland for the longest active winning streak. In addition, the Falcons are one of six teams that the Patriots are undefeated against at Gillette Stadium. New England is 2-0 against the Falcons at Gillette Stadium. A week after facing Cleveland, who entered the game with the NFL's top ranked defense, the Patriots will square off against Atlanta's defense, which is ranked second in the NFL.

  1. I need this win so bad lol

I think if we can clear 10 wins I’ll have a slightly easier time breathing during games but until then every game still feels like a “big test” even if our season is seemingly against cakewalk teams

  2. Well see which version of the falcons show up today but they’ve been horrible on the road this season. Pats should handle business today. Bend don’t break defense against Bijan, London, Pitts… you eliminate 2 of those 3 and we should be in good shape. My guess, Pitts will have a serviceable day as our defense against the TE isn’t great, gonzo will shadow corner London, and they’ll keep a spy on Bijan for out in the flat.

  3. The Patriots entire game plan today should just be to load the box and have Gonzalez follow London everywhere he goes today. Bathroom included.

  4. Let’s have a nice day of clean, disciplined football. Let’s make our tackles and be aggressive to get an early lead and not look back from there. Let’s go Pats!

  5. Surely this is a trap game, right? The Falcons are better than their record indicates. Hope Vrabel and the boys stay focused

  6. Hope I’m wrong but I feel like the Falcons are the trap game everyone’s been waiting for

  7. **Sorry for English I am from Africa, I just started watching your National American Football this year and I like very much,** The one thing I do not like is my friends and me not have very good knowledge how National American Football rules are. Things happen that are very confusing and we would like to know rule truth. The Africa sports commentators they do not know rules very much either and I suspect they make up much false talk and we can not tell difference. The only time I knew they lie to me was when they said one year >!Atlanta blew a 28-3 lead in the Superbowl.!<I laugh, no team would bring that much shame on their home.

  8. The way I see it, we win this one, we have 3 “tough” games left, Bucs, Bills, Ravens.

We winning 12+ games this year? Is this real life? Someone pinch/punch me.

  9. Had my heart broken by the Jays last night , at least I know I can count on Drake !

  10. I would like to use this opportunity for a public service announcement as it seems our subreddit doesnt know what a trap game is. A trap game occurs when a dominant heavy favorite loses or struggles to a much lesser team because they are looking ahead to a bigger opponent or coming off of a huge win. The patriots are not a dominant team. The only possibility for a trap game is against the giants the week before the buffalo game. If we win our next 4 games and lose to the giants that would be a trap game. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

  11. With the Bills playing the Chiefs today, this is the least nervous I’ve been about a game so far this season. No matter the outcome, the Patriots will still be leading the division. Because surely Mahomes won’t disappoint all of his many glazers out there and put up a stinker today against the Bills, right?

  12. Another incredibly tough defense. If Maye can avoid turnovers they should be able to get by with a close win, maybe something like 17-14. If they can’t hold on to the ball, and give Atlanta short fields, Bijan will dominate and falcons win 28-17

  13. Patriots fan but I got Bijan in fantasy 😭 do I sit him or start him against our guys.. I’m stuck 😂
