  8. Apparently conditioning was something what especially Nico was really concerned with and together with defense issues he was focused only on this and not the positives that Luka brought to the table.
    There are stories that Nico gradually fired people who Luka trusted and there were tensions and growing frustrations.
    I wonder if Rob played on these cards where he also “shared” these concerns and even said, that he isn’t sure if the Lakers would take Luka.
    I think that Nico was too emotional and couldn’t stand Luka as his judgment was clouded and could see only the negatives.

  12. The Mavs were going to have a hard time fielding a champion with Kyrie/Luka. The theory of it was Kyrie and AD were a better fit together and OKC was vulnerable due to inexperience.

    I wonder if Kyrie and AD stayed healthy if the Mavs would have made another All in move to go for the championship.

    I think that was the logic, and then the 95% chance of injuries to AD and Kyrie occurred and Nico never had a chance to flex his vision
