Olofssons First Hatty | Toyota Game Recap 10/28/2025
Uh as get the early power play and going to waste no time. Watch Marty the party. He’s pouring drinks. Well, everything lines up perfectly here. There were puck retrievals. Quick puck movement. Kale sells the shot which freezes Markstrom and there’s bodies in front. You see Nathan McKinnon crossing in front of Markstrom’s eyes right as Natious unleash unleashes this short side. There’s nothing Markstrom can do a minute and a half in. All of a sudden, power play off the one for 24 Schneider. Well, later about two minutes later, Grimley on the move. He’s going to take a little hit here. Parker Kelly sees Bartikov. First career NHL goal. This allar Scott Wedgwood. Three saves in the crease and it comes loose to Parker Kelly. Brinley takes a hit to make a play. and Parker Kelly. This is a sweet no look pass over to Bartikov. This is a 6’6 goalender taking away everything that you’re looking at. But this is a goal scorers goal going between the blocker and the Moer Love handle. All right, so two nothing after 20 minutes 2 and 1/2 minutes into the second. How about this? Shakon over to Victor Olivesson. Honk your horn. He is on the board. Honk your horn. Jack Ashan and you can see look how much power he gets on this and there is virtually no pull back on that shot. That’s what goal scorers do in stride top corner later. Five on three. This is simple math. Find McKinnon and let him rip. Well, Nate hammers the first shot over the net but great puck retrieval once again. Five on three giving some different looks. They started out below the goal line and Nate going five hole on that one after unleashing one right by Markstrom’s ear on the previous shot. Colorado not done yet either. Parker Kelly knows how to make a fist. It takes five fingers. Five nothing. Brent Burns with the outlet pass to the far blue line on the tape of Ross Colton. And this is a beautiful pull up. Parker Kelly Riker’s envious of these hands. We don’t see that in the alumni skates. That’s That’s a thing of beauty. Riker would have gone right into the end boards. He’s not here. I can say that. Okay, things got a little weird here. Stephan Nason gets a little turnover off a stick and they’re back in it. Just one little bounce. Brent Burge, you can see he’s trying to move that up through the middle of the ice. It hits a stick and Stefon Nason, no stick handle. Really nice shot. He had 22 goals last year. He’s a goal scorer and nothing Wedgewood could do because it’s a perfect shot inside the post. Douggee Hamilton, one of the best defenseman, huge defenseman. Watch him take a shot, follow the shot, grip it, poke it. Pure chaos in front. The puck slips through a few ABS defenders and Douggee Hamilton unleashes one. Wedgewood makes the initial save, but this is a headsy play by Douggee Hamilton. It’s up in the air. He finds it and knows that if he bats it forward, he can try and knock it in with his stick. Otherwise, it’s just going to be called off as a no goal due to a hand. But 6’6, that’s a long stick poking it in. Four unanswered goals. Here’s number three, Dawson Mercer headed to the net. Tap little bit of a fortuitous bounce. Mercer, it’s on his backand. He actually loses it over to Heir. And Heir, it’s a beautiful play. Could have easily shot that. Team Omire throwing it in front. You can see it confuses Kale because it goes off of Mercer’s back hand over to Keshir. We talked about those quick goals. There was a 37 and a 39. This is 30. Jack Hughes. Jack Hughes when he drops this back. He knows that he is getting the return feed. Little give and go through his legs. Jer put it on a T for Jack Hughes. There’s not a lot of room here when you’re that close to the goal line, but he’s a goal scorer. 72 seconds later, the ABS back on the power play. The dog is hungry. And when the dog is hungry, you feed the dog. You let him eat. And this was the perfect answer. 5 nothing to 54. You go back on the power play and Nate was feeling it. Went five hole last time. Guess what? Sounded like it went bar down is what Marstrom said. Let’s see if you can hear it. Howitzer. Yeah, I heard it. You heard it. Okay, so we go to the third period. AS back up 6-4. They’re three for five on the power play until this make it four for six. Olivson. That’s two on the night. Such a salty pass from Nate. No look. And then inside the dots. We talked about this. This is something the ABS key on on their power play. Shooting from inside the dots. Victor Olson walking downhill and using Seanthaler as a screen. Victor’s got two. You can’t have eight goals and nobody gets a hat-tick. Victor Olson going to solve that puzzle right there. Jack Drury intercepts the pass and he’s got Lanniscott going to the net. The captain always driving the net. The catch and release here. Jack Drury with a headsy play finding the trailer. It’s so quick. It’s on and off his stick. Watch this right here. On off. He went blocker the first two and he went glove on the third. And everybody going home happy.
