Anaheim Ducks vs. New Jersey Devils – Game Highlights
Get your thrill on. Back-to-back games. The conclusion of the four-game road trip. Devils looking to go two and two on it. And the Ducks win the draw. We’re underway. Thanks for joining us here on a Sunday night in Anaheim as the Devils send it back out to center ice. Well, we talked about that in the pregame show, Rachel and I, but I like the Devil’s chances of drawing one or two. Here comes Luke Hughes with a shot. Here’s Ne with a shot. intercepted by Senica and the Ducks will bring it back up. Bouncing puck out to Senica. Senica trying to gather and score. He reached eventually gathered it back up. Beck and Senica gives the Ducks a one nothing lead. Disrupt Senica here as the Ducks go through middle of the ice. Devils D get caught a little bit. They got to get a little closer together. Look at Senica with that reach. One more look at it as Goce does a good job kicking that puck from his skate to his stick. See Senica there. He’s tied up and I think immediately out to the point. Stolen away. And now we got a clear breakaway by Terry. Save. Rebound the back hand. Good save by Allen. Two beauties by Jake Allen. Buck went over the line. Devil’s a little out of sync here. You see H Dougie Hamilton. He’s flatfooted. It’s a tough pass to make. blind backhand pass and there’s the initial save on the breakaway and then Allen stays with it and the outstretched left pad to get the rebound as well right there defensively there’s maneuverability pass intercepted by home and it’s who cleans up the garbage and scores and the Ducks take a two nothing lead for Toronto. This is a broken play. Devils for Toronto. This is his first goal of the season after the Devils did a great chance by Douggee Hamilton. Might have caught a little piece of the crossbar. And you see right here where there was a delayed call coming up. Mercer had made a great defensive play, but that’s a tough pass in the middle of the ice there to Heir. You don’t want to force that pass. You’ve got to get it up the wall and every over to McTavish trying to shake loose of you. Goes back centering pass goes off the back of team meer but not cleared out as Trouba keeps it in as he balances the blue line. Sharp angle they score. That’s a tough break right near the goal line. The San Jose Sharks get the tally. They make the pass. Yeah. I mean watch right here. here and goes right through the five hole to flex off the stick. Jake doesn’t get that stick down hard enough or seal the ice as well as that left pad bright is actually contributing a little offensively. Tried to hit Jack Hughes. But here comes Dason for Jack and a save by Gostal and he’s able to grab the rebound. Gets it back down low back to McTavish. Centering pass and Senica band on the shot. Devils clear. Mercer out of the box. Opportunity here. Mercer feathers a pass out to team Omire who scores and the Devils are on the board. It’s three to one. You called it Dughes. But your captain was hit vulnerably and see Senakica almost scores at one end. Devils get opportunistic. Mercer out of the zone. They get it up to him and look at this beautiful saucer pass. Timed perfectly by Mercer as the Duck defenseman goes down right here. He’s going to hit the ice. Goes a little early. That’s Devil’s all over it though. Trying to get it back. They have it at the red line and Bado will bring it in. Trying to find some room. Leaves it back for Gritz with a shot in the pass. Save by Gustav. Continue to hammer at it. The Devils trying to get it. Can’t get through. Grits finds Brat back out to the point. Jack Hughes for loo slings a shot blocked in front and now it’s settled back down by Carlson. Feathers it back out of the zone and this is going to be a breakaway opportunity for Chris Brighter to put the game away and the Ducks will take a four to one lead but it wasn’t for a lack of effort on the other end around the Ducks net right here. See Ns that gets it out front. Mason pokes it to Meyer, but he’s unable to find, you know, what was partially an empty net, but they had two ducks there. Great work, great effort by the Devils here. They’re desperate. That actually hit a little bit of the the post. And what a change of back home for some home cooking, we hope for their 5-0. Well, a disappointing road trip here out west as they lose three out of four as they conclude the road trip with a disappointing 4-1 game year.
