  1. A little surprised it wasn’t Kirk, but Dingler was so damn good this year, especially as a thrower. Pumped for him!

  2. Dillon Dingler ends Detroit Tigers’ Gold Glove drought

Detroit Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler is a Gold Glove winner.

The 27-year-old won the American League Gold Glove at catcher for his 2025 performance, announced Sunday, Nov. 2, by Rawlings Baseball. He defeated Alejandro Kirk (Toronto Blue Jays) and Carlos Narváez (Boston Red Sox).

Dingler is the first Tigers catcher to win the Gold Glove since Pudge Rodríguez in 2007. He also became the first Tigers player to win the Gold Glove at any position since second baseman Ian Kinsler in 2016.

  3. As much as I love Jake Rogers for who he is and the effort he puts into games, I couldn’t be happier that Dillon Dingler came along. He’s a big upgrade at the plate and an upgrade behind it. I still love Jake. He’s a great teammate. He just doesn’t have elite capabilities to match his persona.

  4. Franchise pillar type of player, finding a young star Catcher is huge for an organization.

  5. He will finally get the diamond card he deserves on the show 25. Thanks for robbing us SDS in the wildcard collection.
