Listen, Im not a John Schneider lover, he’s prone to do some odd stuff (which is USUALLY tied to undying trust and loyalty for his guys), but that’s his ultimate strength. He’d die for his guys and I know they feel the same about him. The culture in TO is unmatched.
I will say, I am now a John Schneider lover. I think he’s handled himself so well this postseason (again, some moves notwithstanding) and I’ll ride with him next year, with more trust than I have in the last 4.
Thanks, John. But don’t be sorry. Be ready for next year.

Win or lose it was the best World Series in a long long time. Thanks for a legendary battle Blue Jays
This guy pushed the right buttons most of the time and he did not cost the series imo. Baserunning mistakes and missed opportunities at the end of games 6 and 7 were the culprits.
I had to take some time before I could watch these guys interview after the game, and man it’s even harder than I thought. To hear the pain in Hoffmans voice, to see Ernie and Bassitt full tears makes it sting so much more.
Schneider is a class act, he’s not perfect but man this one got me.

Questioned him as a manager, every year up to this season. Definitely can say I was wrong about him.
The manager is the scapegoat for everyone. The fans and owners. If fans got their wish Dave Robert’s would have been fired x500 times, and if the Dodgers won’t win next year, fans will say the same.
Guy is young, for a manager. Players love him, management loves him. Future is exciting for this team. Can’t wait for free agency and spring training
Clearly an excellent man manager, nothing to be ashamed of. You’ll be back.

Schneider is a full Lasso-school manager and that’s why we’re all fucking sobbing so hard. This man wants all the blame and none of the credit and I would run through a goddamn wall for him. Thank ***you***, John. I never believed that managers made a difference in baseball but I think you might just have been the soul of this team. Huge part of why they got here IMO
His management style should be emulated to save baseball.

I don’t think anyone on their team has anything to be ashamed of, and like the mariners, I think they should run it back with this core group of hitters while improving pitching.
as a Dodgers fan, i congratulate Blue Jays for hiring a great leader. No wonder that team is so cohesive. Accountability along with praise is why that locker room loves him.

Blue Jays had an amazing run this year, and represented themselves and their fans as well as any team ever.
Seeing Mattingly sad like this hurt me. 40 fucking years he’s worked in baseball and he just barely missed his first ring.

I mean, WTF, John Schneider has nothing to apologize for! The Jays did a fantastic job — they outplayed the Dodgers almost every game, and you know sometimes lightning strikes twice, and LA got the breaks exactly when they needed them. Absolutely no shame with Jay’s performance, and everyone should be proud — see you all in the spring!

It took Dave Robert 5 years to get into the groove. Schneider is a hell of a player coach. Give him time and put pieces around Vladdy and Yesavage, resign Bo, take a swing at Skubal and eventually Skenes and the Blue Jays will be a problem for years to come.
Ken Rosenthal should be let go. The broadcasting companies cannot justify his actions and absolutely no one respects him anymore. Fuck Ken Rosenthal all the way back to JV
Wrong team won
This one’s not his fault. The PLAYERS managed to be as unclutch as possible while choking away multiple opportunities to win this championship over two home games. The Dodgers players were the opposite – CLUTCH in numerous situations where they were moments from being eliminated.

He was great in “Dukes of Hazard”
Schneider bitched and complained about everything and it undermined what a great job he did. I hope he can have some more success in the future without all the moaning.
Ken Rosenthal is the shortest man on earth, and it shows in his personality.
