– 1954-55 (Mikan took a season off)
– 1956-57, 1957-58 (Mikan retired, Baylor drafted in 1958-59)
– 1974-75 (West retired, Kareem acquired in 1975-76)
– 1994-95 (Magic retired the first time, Worthy retired, Magic came back for 1995-96 then retired, then Kobe/Shaq came in 1996-97)
– 2016-17, 2017-18 (Kobe retired in 2016, LeBron joined in 2018)
Seven total seasons we didn’t have a franchise hall of famer on our team in our franchise’s history.
Absolutely blessed.
Add Shaq, add Magic, add Kareem
LA is blessed
My GOAT AR as well. 😤
Bron to AR to Luka.
Did we really get LeBron? We didn’t get the growth, or the peak, we got the tailend of his career so not sure if we can compare him to having Kobe and Luka. One is a whole career and the other entering the peak year.
you’re missing A WHOLE lot. And no…luck might have a little to do with this. The Lakers’ track record tells us it wasn’t luck.
we are yeah, more pudding please lol
Can’t wait to steal Wemby some day
Niko??
Location location location. It helps that it’s a coastal city of rich movies and music producers. What better place is there for a superstar player to live?
We had melo too if we’re gonna be make dropping 😂 Anthony Davis … rondo… Lonzo ball
Kobe – Bron – Luka – Bronny lol
My Raiders suck and so do my Angels, Lakers is all I have left!
Sasha Vujacic and Jordan Farmar now AR and LaRavia
They skipped the part where we were talking ourselves into Xavier Henry and Kendall Marshall being our future breakout stars
**Jerry West**, who allegedly said, “You can’t build a team that way. You can’t. Or you can just be the fucking Lakers.”Â
Laker magic.
To be fair, there was a bit of a desert between pre-achilles Kobe and LeBron.
We’ve had old Kobe and old Lebron for a decade. It’s nice to have young Luka.
I’m sorry but how is this not obvious to every Laker fan?
Casually throw in Shaq, Pau and AD
It’s not luck. It’s a set and maintained standard

very cool, thanks Niko
ANT next
then PAOLO, Orlando Big Man Tradition
then our future Kobe-lite, DARRYN PETERSON
It’s the least we deserve for the years of Westbrick
Mikan -> Elgin -> West -> Wilt -> Kareem -> Magic -> Shaq -> Kobe -> Bron -> Luka.
Between 1948 and now, these are the only seasons in which we did not have any of the following players on the team:
Mikan, Baylor, West, Kareem, Magic, Worthy, Shaq, Kobe, LeBron, Luka Doncic
– 1954-55 (Mikan took a season off)
– 1956-57, 1957-58 (Mikan retired, Baylor drafted in 1958-59)
– 1974-75 (West retired, Kareem acquired in 1975-76)
