  1. ANT next

    then PAOLO, Orlando Big Man Tradition

    then our future Kobe-lite, DARRYN PETERSON

  2. Mikan -> Elgin -> West -> Wilt -> Kareem -> Magic -> Shaq -> Kobe -> Bron -> Luka.

  3. Between 1948 and now, these are the only seasons in which we did not have any of the following players on the team:

    Mikan, Baylor, West, Kareem, Magic, Worthy, Shaq, Kobe, LeBron, Luka Doncic

    – 1954-55 (Mikan took a season off)
    – 1956-57, 1957-58 (Mikan retired, Baylor drafted in 1958-59)
    – 1974-75 (West retired, Kareem acquired in 1975-76)
    – 1994-95 (Magic retired the first time, Worthy retired, Magic came back for 1995-96 then retired, then Kobe/Shaq came in 1996-97)
    – 2016-17, 2017-18 (Kobe retired in 2016, LeBron joined in 2018)

    Seven total seasons we didn’t have a franchise hall of famer on our team in our franchise’s history.

    Absolutely blessed.

  4. Did we really get LeBron? We didn’t get the growth, or the peak, we got the tailend of his career so not sure if we can compare him to having Kobe and Luka. One is a whole career and the other entering the peak year.

  5. you’re missing A WHOLE lot. And no…luck might have a little to do with this. The Lakers’ track record tells us it wasn’t luck.

  6. Location location location. It helps that it’s a coastal city of rich movies and music producers. What better place is there for a superstar player to live?

  7. We had melo too if we’re gonna be make dropping 😂 Anthony Davis … rondo… Lonzo ball

  8. They skipped the part where we were talking ourselves into Xavier Henry and Kendall Marshall being our future breakout stars

  9. **Jerry West**, who allegedly said, “You can’t build a team that way. You can’t. Or you can just be the fucking Lakers.”

  10. We’ve had old Kobe and old Lebron for a decade. It’s nice to have young Luka.
